IGET tracks an index that focuses on energy transition. Companies that are perceived best positioned to economically benefit from the efforts to reduce greenhouse gases or ebate climate change are considered. The index does not incorporate environmental, social or governance (ESG) criteria into its selection process. However, the areas of focus may include stocks involved in carbon capture technologies, energy storage,hydrogen, and renewable energy. Using forward-looking data points such as, five-year revenue estimates and the company's role in the supply chain, analyst's use a rules-based process to identify possible index components. A steering committee conducts a quality control review of each company considered by engaging in discussions with analysts and directors to selects the leading firms in this theme. The areas of focus may change during the annual index reconstitution.
