The fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and monthly distributions to its stockholders by investing in an equally weighted portfolio of high quality, dividend-paying securities in international markets outside the US and Canada based on a fundamental research approach intended to create value and reduce risk over the investment period. The fund systematically selects companies that have attractive dividend yield and the ability to grow their businesses and dividends for shareholders in the future. Quality and financial risk screens are also used in order to minimize risk. The funds portfolio is broadly diversified by industry sector, such that each does not represent more than 20% of the NAV of the fund. The fund may use derivatives in order to further meet its investment objectives, and may also engage in short selling or other securities lending transactions to generate additional income. Portfolio holdings are reconstituted and rebalanced on a quarterly basis.
