The fund aims for long-term capital appreciation through a portfolio of US stocks in the broad health care sector. The fund mainly invests in large-cap securities within the S&P 500 that are as classified as health care by S&Ps Global Industry Classification Standard. However, up to 25% of assets may be invested in securities included in the S&P Global 1200 Health Care Index and the S&P/TSX Composite Health Care GICS Index. The fund seeks to enhance the portfolio through options writing and leverage. The leverage of up to 25% is expected to provide enhanced dividend yields and additional return potential. The fund also writes call/put options to generate returns. In the case of put options, the fund may buy securities at predetermined prices to reduce acquisition costs. The fund targets a 7% yield target per annum for monthly distributions. The fund manager has full discretion to make any investment decision at any time, including hedging its foreign currency to CAD.
