USDJPY/Bearish Setups Ahead: (Possibly 670+ pips)After a long bearish run, we've seen a key break below the intra trend low at 146.60. Price has also broken out of the broader trend dating from March 2022 to December 2023, dipping into demand zones along the way. Now trading at a premium in the current downtrend, the logical play is to look for short opportunities. On the 4H timeframe, a rising channel extends from October 4, 2024, at 147.34 up to October 31, 2024. Given upcoming fundamental releases, there’s potential for price to drop below 151.40. A close below this level on the 4H chart would confirm a trendline break and a structural shift, signaling a bearish move that could run down to 145.10 — a solid 670 pips in play. To catch this move early, I’ll be watching the 1H timeframe. If price meets our key condition of closing below 151.40, or ideally falls to 150.88, then a swing entry at 152.21 with an initial target at 149.55 is in focus. We’ll trail down from there as price develops. Remember, the close below 151.40 is essential for validating this entry. UsdJpy Trade UpdateI sent out a short idea for UJ and stated why I was personally looking to go short on the pair. With price retesting the level I wanted to see it pullback to and the hourly starting to go bearish, I decided to execute my shorts here with stops just above structure. I'm looking for a 1:3rr on this set up. If UJ is gonna continue ranging then we may even expect price to crash back down to 151.5. It's pretty late for an entry but I feel comfortable with where my stop is. I have more than enough room.

USDJPY: Correction Phase Targets Key Resistance at 153.846 USDJPY is currently undergoing a corrective rise after yesterday's decline. While the downtrend is still in play, buyers are showing strength as the previous drop appears to be a trend correction, filling the price gap, just as anticipated in my previous forecast. From a longer-term perspective, USDJPY remains above the active levels of the EMA 34 and 89. The immediate target is set at the resistance level of 153.846, with potential for further gains if this resistance is broken, turning it into new support for USDJPY.

USDJPY continues downtrend from 153.06Looking at the USDJPY chart on the 4-hour time frame, we have a clear uptrend in a parallel price channel. However, the market is showing signs of weakness as it approaches the resistance zone near 153.067. This could be a potential turning point with the possibility of a sharp correction to the downside. Detailed technical analysis: Main trend: The chart shows USDJPY is in an uptrend channel, however, the price has started to break the lower channel line. This shows that selling pressure is increasing as the price approaches the resistance zone of 153.067. Resistance & Support: The 153.067 area is a strong resistance zone, and if USDJPY fails to break above it, there is a high possibility of a correction to the support levels below. Correction targets: There are two major support targets if the price continues to decline: Target 1: Around the 151.000 price zone, where there is short-term support. If the selling pressure is strong, this is the first area that the price can test. Target 2: Around 149,000, stronger support. This is the area where the price can correct deeply if there is a strong selling wave. Trading strategy: If you are looking for a selling opportunity, consider selling when the price touches the 153,067 area and fails to break through. Set the first profit target at 151,000 and the second target at 149,000. This requires patience and close monitoring for signs of strong price declines.

Can USD/JPY rebound from this key support? the USD/JPY has been consolidating its recent gains in the last couple of days, with price testing the upper band of the 152.85 - 151.95 support area after retreating from the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level circa 153.40. This week's mixed US data has taken some shine off the US dollar, but with the election uncertainty hanging over the markets, the dollar is unlikely to sell off significantly until at least the election is out of the way. With that in mind, the USD/JPY could easily rebound from the 152.85 - 151.95 support area and break through the 61.8% Fib resistance. If it gets above it, then the next upside target would be 155.00, a psychologically important level. The line in the sand for me is at 151.45, where the 200-day average and the most recent low come into play.
