Although concerns about an economic recession have intensified following the Fed’s 50 basis point rate cut, the number of new jobless claims came in at 219,000, significantly below the market expectation of 230,000. This has alleviated concerns about a cooling labor market, which has in turn eased fears of an economic downturn. Meanwhile, the Bank of England (BOE) maintained its benchmark interest rate at its monetary policy meeting, showing a more cautious approach to rate cuts compared to the Fed. However, the BOE unanimously passed a quantitative tightening plan to reduce its government bond holdings by £100 billion over the next year, and Governor Bailey hinted at a gradual rate cut in his statement. As a result, the pound strengthened, leading to a weaker dollar. Significant fluctuations in the USD/JPY are expected with the Bank of Japan's rate decision later today. Key upcoming events: - September 20: Bank of Japan interest rate decision. - September 24: Reserve Bank of Australia interest rate decision. - September 26: Speech by Fed Chair Powell. - September 27: U.S. August Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index release. UsdJpy Trade Update/IdeaI sent out a set up for UJ longs last night. I stated how price came back into a major level of support. I was looking for price to retest that level to confirm longs here. Price played out perfectly to the T here. My entry was a little late but it was still a valid entry once price broke that temporary bearish run to retest and flip structures from there. We can definitely expect price to continue pushing to the upside. NU and UJ will be my last entries for the week. A solid week locked in! We'll see how price treats us on both pairs.

USDJPY Analysis: Awaiting Market Confirmation Post Fed Rate CutHi Traders, Following yesterday's USD news, the Federal Reserve has reduced the interest rate by 0.25%. It seems the market has already absorbed this news, and our attention shifts back to the USDJPY pair. On Tuesday, my analysis showed a price break above the H4 structure. According to this structure, we can anticipate a continuation of the overall downtrend. However, predicting the exact point where the decline will begin is tricky. We'll need to carefully monitor price movements on smaller timeframes for more clarity. On the 1-hour (1Hr) chart, we're looking for either a new higher high (HH) or a slightly lower high (LH) to complete the current wave structure. Selling at this stage is premature. Instead, we’re looking to buy on the current swing of the 1Hr chart, waiting for a potential failure to make a new HH.

Elliott Wave: USDJPY Moving Into 139-137 SupportUSDJPY slightly stabilized yesterday due to higher US yields following Powell's rate announcement and press conference. However, note that the rise from the most recent lows occurred in three waves and stalled at the previous swing high at 143.80 resistance. This suggests there could be new sellers attempting to push prices back to the lows. But keep in mind, this could be the final leg within the diagonal formation, which could lead to a bottom forming in the next few days. USDJPY: New High Set?Hello wonderful friends! USDJPY has struggled to conquer the recent gains at 144.00g. However, its upside momentum was limited after weak data released yesterday weakened the USD and affected the upcoming outlook of the major currency, as can be seen from the 143.50 setup on the 2-hour chart. On the technical chart, although the uptrend remains supported and the parallel price channel has been broken, the special thing is that there are signs of a potential top forming at 143.95. My strategy for today is Sell and we should see USDJPY reaching at least 142.00 again, which would be in line with the timing of the EMA test. What do you think about this?

UJ shortIm looking at this, sellers looks strong, anchored vwap there, buyers seems didn't buy enough might push price back up there. but im only concerned of todays news. later at 830, unemployment and ppi. seems 0.3% core ppi isn't a good number, i think if numbers more then 0.3 will pump and break resistance. also the unemployment lower then 230k might pump market. i'll wait to see Uk, if UK pumps it on opening, then dumps it after i'll hold till news. likely want to get out before the news. was on short trip past 2 days, our team still manage to snag a 2.7% growth, they we stayed out of market on tuesday, but yesterday was good.
