HelenP. I Gold is still rising and can reach 3115 pointsHi folks today I'm prepared for you Gold analytics. Some time ago, the price tested Support 2 at the 2985 level, which coincided with the support zone between 2985 and 2976 points. This area provided strong support, resulting in a bullish reaction that pushed Gold significantly higher. After bouncing from this key support zone, the price began a steady upward movement, eventually breaking above Support 1 at the 3055 level. This breakout was an important signal, as buyers continued to dominate, driving Gold further up. Following this breakout, the price continued its bullish momentum, clearly holding above the trend line, which has repeatedly acted as reliable support during this rise. Recently, Gold reached the support zone at 3055-3065 points again, retested it, and confirmed the strength of the buyers with a quick upward reaction. Currently, the price is trading comfortably above this support zone and remains firmly bullish in structure. Given the recent bullish impulse, the successful retest of the support zone, and the continuing hold above the trend line, I expect the price to move upward toward my current goal at 3115 points. Gold: Soaring on Tariffs, Testing Technical WatersIn the early trading session of the Asian market on Thursday (April 3rd), spot gold continued its upward trend and once reached a new all - time high of $3,167 per ounce. This was because US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he would impose a benchmark tariff of 10% on all goods imported into the United States and impose higher tariffs on some of America's largest trading partners. This move will lead to an intensification of the trade war that he initiated after returning to the White House, causing the market's risk - aversion sentiment to soar sharply. However, given the rapid increase in the gold price, one should not blindly chase after buying more gold. On the one hand, the rapid rise in the gold price has accumulated a certain amount of pressure for a correction, and there is a high probability that a pullback and subsequent recovery rally will occur. On the other hand, the highly anticipated Nonfarm Payrolls data will be released tomorrow. On the eve of its announcement, the market will not quickly break out of a well - defined trading range and price level. On the daily chart level, gold entered a downward adjustment mode on Tuesday, breaking the previous consecutive upward trend with positive candles. However, the current moving - average system still maintains a pattern of diverging upwards. Today, the key focus is on whether the downward movement of the market is sustainable. Firstly, we need to pay attention to the support effectiveness of the short - term moving average MA5. Currently, this moving average is roughly located around 3098, which is extremely close to yesterday's low of 3100 when the price dropped. OANDA:XAUUSD Continues to Rise as Trump Launches Tariff Campaign The US Dollar fell sharply in Asian trading on Thursday, contributing to the boost in gold prices. The US Dollar Index is currently at around 103.050, down more than 60 points on the day. On April 2, local time, the White House issued a statement saying that US President Trump declared a national emergency on the same day to enhance US competitiveness, protect US sovereignty, and strengthen US national and economic security. Trump declared this as America's "declaration of economic independence". The statement said that Trump will impose a 10% "base tariff" on all countries, effective from 0:01 a.m. Eastern time on April 5. In addition, Trump will impose higher, personalized "reciprocal tariffs" on countries with the largest US trade deficits, effective from 0:01 a.m. Eastern time on April 9. All other countries will continue to adhere to the original base tariff of 10%.
