Gold Hits New ATH – How Much Higher Can It Go?In yesterday's XAU/USD analysis, I mentioned that a correction could occur, potentially bringing Gold down to the 2770 zone. I even opened a trade based on this idea. However, after an initial drop to the 2810 zone, Gold reversed and surged to a new all-time high. Fortunately, I had not entered a large-volume trade, and with active management throughout the day, I kept my losses minimal. Now, the key question is: How much higher can Gold go? Looking at the chart, as I previously explained, Gold has been steadily rising within an ascending channel. Yesterday, it even broke above the channel’s resistance, and at the time of writing, it is trading at 2860. In my opinion, buying at this price carries too much risk. I prefer to wait for a blow-off top and signs of weakness before considering a sell trade. For now, I am staying out of the Gold market.

Trading Signals for GOLD sell below $2,863 (+2/8 Murray)Early in the American session, gold is trading within the bullish trend channel forming since January 20th and below *2/8 Murray. Th area around 2,890 represents a strong resistance. Currently, the bullish force is exhausted, but after a technical rebound around 2,890. If the gold price consolidates below 2,868, we could expect it to continue falling in the next few hours until it reaches +1/8 Murray located at 2,851. The price could even reach the bottom of the uptrend channel that coincides with 8/8 Murray around 2,812. On the other hand, we should be careful if the gold price breaks and consolidates above 2,870. This could mean a further bullish movement so that the metal could reach +2/8 of Murray located at 2,890. Eventually, it could even touch he psychological level of 2,900. The indicator is reaching the extremely overbought zone and is showing a negative signal. Hence, we could sell at current price levels around 2,863 with a target at 2,812.

Trading Signals for GOLD sell below $2,809 or buy above $2,824Early in the American session, XAU/USD is trading around $2,819, above the 21 SMA, and below the 8/8 Murray. A strong technical bounce is observed and gold is likely to continue rising in the next few hours until it reaches the 2,822 area where the daily R_2 is located. If gold reaches its annual high ( 2,822-2,828), a double-top pattern will be formed which could be seen as a technical reversal signal. Thus, we could sell the metal in the short term with the target at $2,600. On the other hand, if gold consolidates above 2,820, the outlook could remain bullish. Hence, we could expect gold to reach +1/8 of Murray located at 2,851. Technically, we could expect gold to make a strong technical correction because the price is approaching overbought levels on the daily and weekly charts. The indicator is showing a negative signal, reaching overbought levels. Therefore, after a technical correction towards 2,785 (21 SMA), gold could resume its bullish cycle.

GOLD Maintains Bullish Momentum, Targeting $2,840OANDA:XAUUSD has recently broken out above a key resistance zone and successfully retested it as new support, subsequently rebounding and maintaining its position within the ascending channel. This solidifies the bullish structure, with buyers stepping in at the newly reclaimed support. The next potential upside target is around $2,840, in line with the upper boundary of the channel. However, short-term pullbacks within the structure remain probable, particularly near mid-channel levels. As long as Gold holds above the support zone, the bullish momentum remains intact. A break below this support would invalidate the current setup and shift focus back to lower support levels. This is not financial advice but rather how I approach support/resistance zones. Gold weekly swing trade with buy and sell entriesLast weeks trade smashed for over 700 pips , for this week we are looking at entering a sell at 2797 down to 4 hour resistance at 2774/5 for a total of 220 pips . Once we are down to 2774 we can expect a rejection and rise to previous ATH of 2816. Entry would be based on break and retest of 2774/73 taking profit on the way up to 2816 for a total of 445 pips so between the two trades we can target 665 pips. Trade is based on trend lines on the 4 hour and daily have marked out areas that were respected and we are holding to this trend. Entry level for the buy lines up with fibonacci 0.618 level exactly so I have high confluence in this . As always with these type of trades use proper risk management and secure profit by either taking partials on the way or moving your SL This is not financial advice nearly sharing what I see for gold in the coming week.
