Did we actually break out of the downtrend?Tezos recently broke a long term downtrend which appeared to signal the beginning of a trend reversal. Volume briefly picked up after this breakout which was promising. A retest of the trendline was to be expected and happened yesterday; however, the volume from this test is anything but promising. The volume has been anemic in general during this entire upward move and it's clear there are no strong buyers at current levels.
In addition to a weak bounce and poor volumes, the 4hr chart is painting an ugly head and shoulders pattern. The loss of volume in the right shoulder is a telltale sign of this pattern. If this pattern plays out, it will easily drive the price down to $3.00 - 3.20 levels.
I think it's likely we'll see another test of the downtrend line in the coming days with another, quicker and even weaker bounce, followed by a breakdown and a further collapse of the price to the demand zone around $3.00
I want to be wrong about this, so things to watch for that would invalidate this analysis are an increase in volume and the price pushing up past $4.60. If this happens, $5.00 and $5.80 are definitely back in play.

XTZ at range resistance, breakout or burnout?Seems to be bottoming out, but hasn't formed a bearish divergence as it usually does. Volume looks like it can take more time to squeeze down. RSI also in a squeeze.
I am going to theorize that this time XTZ is going to breakdown from the 2 year long ascending channel and not breakout upward. because in the last run to $8 there was exceptionally huge volumes at the top, suggesting an old large hodler unloading, maybe a founder. Shake and bake baby.

Can we break out of the long term down trend?Tezos led the market with a pump this week, but can it be sustained? Tezos has been trading in an ascending channel which looks like a classic bear flag.
The price is testing an important level right now, if it can break out of the long term downtrend, $5 is the first target and $5.80 the second.
However, if Tezos can't break out of the downtrend, the bottom of the uptrend will be tested at $3.50. A break below the ascending channel will confirm the bear flag pattern, and could accelerate losses to the bottom trendline at $2.60.
I want to be bullish on Tezos, but unfortunately, I think the price action is going to largely depend on bitcoin. If bitcoin can can break through 42k in the next few days, I think the bullish scenario is more likely; however, if bitcoin drops back below 40k to the 38k levels, I think we will see the bear flag confirmed.
I have exited my Tezos position for now and will wait for more clarity in the market direction.

XTZ Due For a Correction!?Tezos has been pushing up solidly recently from around january 26th we have been on a steady rise, we are currently trading inside of a rising wedge which is actually a bearish pattern and i believe we could be in for a healthy corrective move coming up soon. Don't get me wrong i am overall very bullish on Tezos in the longer term especially but i think we are due for a corrective move any day now. What im looking at is a possible false breakout of this rising wedge we have right now to the upside before coming back down quickly, this would effectively liquidate traders if we saw a move like this happen. Now if we look at our Mean Reversion channel we notice that our "mean" is below us about -15% currently, price tends to come back to this point sooner than later. Now another indication of a move like this happening is because we notice our top yellow/red band is right above the rising wedge, now this part indicates that price action is overbought-strong overbought, so playing back into my scenario with a false upside breakout landing us right in this overbought territory gives me more confirmation that a corrective move is coming. Now another reason is just due to the fact that we have seen very bullish price action recently, we have been steady moving to the upside with little to no corrective moves. Now what i am excited about here is that a move like this will provide yet another great buying and entry opportunity. Now lets look at the RSI, one thing is absolutely amazing, we are currently atleast on our 4H chart in a confirmed uptrend, this is shown by the RSI remaining above the midline for a decent amount of time, now another thing that plays into my prediction is that if we check a percentage drop on the RSI to a likely bounce support we actually line up perfectly with the same percentage as the mean is away from price action roughly 15-15.7%! Not financial advice just my opinion!

Tezos XTZI am relatively new to trading so I may be completely wrong here. From what I can see as long as it does not break below the bottom grey support line it should move up over a period of time. If I am completely wrong please help me understand how to properly read these charts. Thanks
