Gold has been in a clean, tightening descending channel and may be ready to breakout. I wouldn't be entering until a clear breakout signal is shown, but a push back into the 1920s and possibly beyond seems like a possible scenario if the channel breaks to the upside.
Opportunity for a short term mean reversion play as a low UK PMI number has caused an extreme move in GBPUSD. Entry levels under 1.26400 look promising for a nice risk/reward play Heavily oversold on RSI, extreme ROC, markets may have overreacted short term and potential for reversion to the mean.
Labor Relations and Employee Concerns: A recent article by UPS employee and bargaining committee member, Jill Dunson in Newsweek, discusses the UPS contract. Many workers have issues with the contract, specifically over starting wages, wage hikes, working conditions, and pension contributions. UPS has settled with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters,...

The appeal's acceptance can shape the lawsuit's future 🔄. SEC's focus: XRP sales, not the asset itself 💵. SEC's appeal might extend the lawsuit by 3-6 months ⏳. XRP price doubled following the temporary...
AUDUSD has sold off in recent weeks forming an expanding triangle/broadening wedge. The US dollar has seen a wave of strength while AUD has languished, made no better by a significant miss in Aussie Jobs data this week. However, price has reached oversold levels on RSI and price in right at the bottom of this wedge pattern. While a breakout to the downside would...
Walmart beat earnings but still saw a big drop on Thurs, along with US equities as a whole, but saw some positive gains Friday. With Walmart near the top of its range while US equites have been pulling back, WMT has strong relative strength. If US equities pullback finds a bottom soon, WMT could help lead the way. Key notes from earnings Walmart reported a...
Palantir has been on a tear after consolidating in tight ranges around its lows from May 2022 - 23. The stock looks set to re-enter its previously accepted price range from late 2020 - 21 and analysts are targetting the middle of that range. This was a typical consolidation breakout in May, and the strength of the trend since then has me inclined to agree with the...
Disney's shares fell this week to their lowest point in 2023, largely due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Disney is sat right near the bottom of its 24 month range, and just 10% off its COVID driven March 2020 low of $79. Despite the negative moves, experts predict that Disney's shares will rise to $120.53 in the next 12 months, a 38.25% gain on current prices. This is...
Nvidia remains strong despite facing a 2% decrease in its shares on Wednesday. Driven by its dominance in AI chips, Nvidia's shares have risen by a huge 214% year to date. The firm has surpassed Wall Street's expectations by projecting a Q2 revenue of $11 billion, demonstrating robust growth and resilience in the market. The surge in the use of artificial...
Thursday, Tesla stock took a big hit after their earnings report shook some investors. The main concerns are tightening margins and a warning that Q3 production could be down slightly, but let’s take a look at the numbers. Financials and production Tesla's Q2 gross margins were 18.2%, below analyst expectations of 18.8%. The company's operating margin fell...
GBPUSD has had a large leg up but may be forming a top, with RSI oversold on all levels up to the 4H. A huge run-up and potential blow-off top is forming on the lower timeframes after a big trend day yesterday, this type off excess volatility is a signature of potential reversal. On the 1H we've just seen alarge inverted hammer form, another signal of potential...
In our last EURUSD idea we called the bottom of the move within 10 pips before an 80pip move up. By the end of play on Friday price retreated slightly, respecting the upper boundary of the downward channel. Are we likely to continue to move down within the downward channel? While there's a good likelihood that will happen, there isn't a great entry on the short...
When I began research for this post I expected to be giving the bull case for Pfizer. It's the type of stock I like - a household name oozing with quality and prestige, a strong moat, beaten up with strongly bearish sentiment with multiple factors pointing towards recovery, with short term technical support and long term positive fundamental outlook. I like to...
PayPal's stock looks undervalued, trading at 6-year lows and a forward P/E ratio of 12.3, despite a strong Q1 performance with respectable transaction revenues, total payment volume, and growth in value-added services. Operating expenses are well-managed, contributing to substantial growth in operating income and earnings per share, while consensus estimates...
Simple idea here, A) Touched the downward trendline, even if this turns out to be a downward channel this is the bottom of the range. B) Deeply oversold on RSI ( <20 on both 1H and 2H ), C) RSI divergence on the 1H Just targetting a short term pullback here, short term Target 1.083 but potential for a runner up to the 1.09s.
The previous CAD CPI data marked a significant turning point, with CAD having a 2 week hangover and the basket of major currencies getting a wild ride against the weakened CAD. Could we see the opposite this time around? USD is seeing significant strength against the basket but is starting to look ripe for a pullback. If we see another strong day for USD...
After briefly breaking the 12-month high from May 2022 of 1.26670 this week, a wave of selling came in amid a big news week. The Bank of England (BoE) jacked up the UK Bank Rate to 4.5%, marking the 12th hike in a row. Despite two dissenting votes, the committee expects more tightening if price pressures persist. This could mean the rate peaking around 4.75% by...
We're beginning to see a Tale Of Two Economies emerge, as US data this week shows the path of disinflation continues, albeit slowly, giving investors hope that the Fed's interest rate increases are making an impact. Meanwhile across the pond, all quotes from the ECB are warning that the fight against inflation rages on and further rate hikes will be...
