𝑻𝑬𝑺𝑳𝑨 𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑻𝑰𝑵𝑼𝑬𝑺 𝑻𝑶 𝑭𝑳𝑨𝑴𝑬 𝑶𝑼𝑻. Last week we looked at the possibility of a local triple top on Tesla, as price struggled to break above $900. As this week starts off, there has been a significant drop off on the Tesla price. With a target from the triple top of ~680, we are probably pretty close to a point of recovery. In the broader context, we are also near...
𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐒𝐋𝐀'𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲? This analysis is based on the intraday 4 hour candles, and is more 'gut feel' than math backed data... TSLA appears to be at a crucial point in time. We have now seen 3 attempts to break above 900 - while there have now been 2 visits back to below 800. On the daily time frame; all of this falls around the centre...
𝐈𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞? The news last week was largely about the 'wallstbets effect' that was taking place in the weed stocks; and while a lot of that is true - it misses some underlying truths about what was happening in the sector last week. It's biggest other news event last week was the CGC earnings report. While the report was mostly similar to...
Tesla has opened & closed a full days trade below the trend line for the first time in almost 2 months. Could we be about to revisit the bottom of the channel?
𝐄𝐎𝐒 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞. EOS has been in a decline for almost 2 years, however today's candle has broken through the falling channel. That is great news, however it's not the whole story. If we look to capture the 2019 peak and the 2020 low into the channel; we can extend out the channel bounds to +/- 3 deviations. Probability says...
𝐓𝐒𝐋𝐀 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐄𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Tesla has announced that they have moved $1.5 billion of their cash reserves into Bitcoin, and apparently are in talks to begin accepting payments in Bitcoin. One would expect that news like this would be an igniter for Tesla shares; however on close there really wasn't much in the way of movement in the share price....
𝐆𝐄 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 - 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐲? The recent earnings showed the rolling 4Q EPS exceeded analyst expectations by 33%. HOWEVER , analysts were quite pessimistic on their estimates, and EPS is down year-on-year. So is this the first green shoots of a turn around; or just a last gasp for breath? I like GE for the long term. They have positioned...
𝐈𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡&𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧? Gold has had a huge rally from ~ July 2018 through to July 2020; however over the last 6 months it has settled and returned to the previous high water mark (set in 2011). There is a reasonable bullish argument that this is the 'retest' prior to a fresh bounce: If future US stimulus is not done in a well thought out way...
𝗕𝗧𝗖 𝘁𝗼 $𝟲𝟬𝗸 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵? We are starting to see open interest tick up on BTCUSD long positions, and on-balance volume is still relatively high, with strong volume. The rising channel, which saw a topside break already, has a huge upside target of >$60k by the start of March. That would be something... Let's see if bulls get their act together and drive the...
ETH is teetering on a breakthrough on the +3 deviation on the channel. Can bulls find the volume needed for a breakout? #crypto
𝙏𝙎𝙇𝘼 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙆𝙋𝙄. Certainly a portion of this pullback comes from the missed earning projection; however when we scratch the surface we see an overall healthy Q4 update. I'm sure Elon would prefer more profits - but the increase in general production capability is a positive light for the future. So, if it wasn't the earnings that...
LTCUSD seems to be a little more volatile then, so the rising channel has been increased to +/- 2.5 rather than the normal 2 deviations. It now sits nicely on both sides of the trade.
Let's be really clear about what this is. Whether intentional or not, this is a pump'n'dump. This stock, in no way, deserves to be valued so high. Gamestop in the punchline on many a joke, and none are as bad as their own bottom line. If you caught the wave - good for you! - but like all waves this will eventually crash back to earth.
ETH is currently fighting against the +3 deviation level on the rising trend. It's possible we see a breakout here and either a continuation of a parabolic movement, or - preferably - a new more stable trend. However, it is much more likely that we see a cooling off period and a return into the channel. Either way, this is just the beginning of this journey! #crypto
XLM is in a nice upward trend, but it is horribly volatile at the moment. Now the price is at the centre of the trend look for signs of growth, but the safer trade is waiting for a return to the bottom of the channel and picking up some value on the recovery. #crypto
Bitcoin is up 60% since the last time it touched this line. Give it a little room to breath but this is most likely a fantastic buying opportunity. #crypto
𝙄𝙎 𝙂𝙀 𝘼 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿 𝘽𝙐𝙔? With it's latest round of earnings due in 2 weeks, GE has broken through back above it's prior support. For a chart that has long been in decline, this rounded bottom offers a lot of positive signs for a powerhouse brand. It should be no surprise, as the new US administration starts to take shape, that some of the renewable investments made by...
Quick update on the trend of SPX. Obviously by now we understand that the March 2020 drop was an anomaly to the macro trend which was bought back up. That being said though, the price has pushed back into the trend and is now on a crash course for the upper bound of the trend. We saw a similar trajectory coming off the 2008 bottom; but this is indeed faster...
