Bitcoin has followed a damped logarithmic trend over its lifetime. In the chart, the orange dotted line is the support when including flash sell-offs, while the dotted blue line is the support that excludes some flash sell-offs. If these two curves are indicative of reality, we should expect to see a brief, sharp continuation of the current sell-off that ends in a...
BTC has broken several trend lines in its tumble, and there is a distinct concave formation between the peaks. This is quite similar to BTC before it broke its ATH, where buyers eventually took over. Could this be the "flavour" of the current bull run?
I don't necessarily believe the bull run is over, but it may be. If it is over and the recent high was the bull run's peak, then there seems to be a pretty clear long term channel that bitcoin is travelling in. In the chart, I try to set each fan so that it encompasses the reasonably likely continuations of the established channel. If this is the current peak,...
SC seems to be replicating the path it took in 2017.
Higher lows and lower highs indicate that we're in a consolidation phase. The plot shows two possible paths that Bitcoin may follow during this phase. Overall, I have a hard time believing that the FOMO will not overwhelm the upward resistance.
The bottom chart shows the price in 2017 leading up to 3K, before eventually retracing to 2K and eventually ascending to 20K. The proportions look almost exactly the same. If the bottom chart is representative of the current situation, bitcoin will break 100K. However, as it did in 2017 after reaching 2K, we may see a strong retracement within the next week before...
Just another hypothesis about where Bitcoin may go from here.
Following the damped logarithmic trend. Common angle of descent from past two highs to lows. Each cycle appears to be increasing in length (time-wise) and decreasing in steepness. First cycle is 2 years, next cycle is 3 years, next cycle will be 4-4.5 years and will be flatter than the previous two cycles.
Looks like a damped logarithmic trend with dampening cycles?
