I had previously put this on a watchlist for going long. Now, I am actually thinking it's going to fall further. I thought at this point the wedge breakout would have occurred, and since buyers haven't moved in, I think it may be headed down further. I have seen similar setups where the wedge keeps getting tighter and tighter on the top, then finally no buyers...
Waiting for some signs of bullishness. Ideally a break and retest. If it gets below the 50 MA and doesn't sharply reverse take it off the list. Indicators are looking good for us, we like them now, we want to love them tomorrow or Friday.
Add this to your watchlist and wait for bullish momentum. You can choose whatever entry excuse you like, but for the way this one is prescribed is to wait for bullish daily reversal candles (hammer, engulfing, piercing, doji.) With any red candles telling us to wait still. We are breaking the rules a little bit. You are supposed to throw away any stocks that...
It's your friendly neighborhood trader-man. S&P looks overextended. I'm looking for a deep correction that is also healthy. I think the year will be a crazy one that finishes up, so I'm not long term bearish. Only when I see the signs. Longs use tight stops, and keep a close eye on the overnight action. The biggest thing for me is just how low the volume has...
Nasdaq is ripping in the very volatile fashion you will come to love if you want to trade this instrument. This is a clear pullback in a strong uptrend. How deep will the pullback go? God only knows. But a break of a trendline gives us an idea where the market wants to go. We want to be quick to react. Are we going to get fakeouts? We are. But, we are going...
I do not see how you could predict this one accurately. I know weekly supply is powerful, but maybe more powerful is the current trend. Currently it's strong and bullish. There are ways you can play the daily and not have to babysit your trades, but I think this is the wrong way. I will check back in a week.
I might be a little late on this one. Walking the line between reacting and following the market movement vs being too late. Because I have a tendency to give my risk manager ultimate veto power, I can see clearly there is an argument to be made that I have missed this markets major upside, and now entering too early before it's downside has been convincingly...
I had this on my watchlist. It came to my area of interest, and it's showing signs that it may act as expected. There is plenty of good demand lower to set stops below, so my risk manager is satisfied. It's not a crazy R:R, but I'm coming to the understanding that giant R:R isn't as common in stocks as it is in forex or futures. I'm thinking same genus, but...
It took me 2 hours to review 5 charts with this method of analysis. That is obviously not efficient enough, but I was really pleased with the way my ideas continually flowed into one another until I came up with a "solution". Have I created order out of this chaos? Probably not, but this is what I came up with and I'm really excited to see if it plays out....
It is now 4 hours into the day and I have analyzed a grand total of 10 stocks. I am clearing a lot of clutter out of my head though. If they ever pass a law that keeps U.S. markets open over weekends... I would worry for a lot of people's sanity. Chiefly my own. Can someone explain to me what a Gann is? And what you do with it? Or give me some leads at least?
This one took me only 20 minutes. Getting quicker...! Doesn't mean it's right, but I'm getting through the steps. Patience +1. Money +1? TBD. It's also very possible that we just had a leg out of a flag pattern and now everything I said will be totally wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. But, this is way more interesting than just using indicators.
This one took me a long way to get the story in a way that I believe makes sense. I incorporated earnings, which is new for me. Seems like an awful lot of work to say no action... but that is something I have to learn to be content with for long term success. This also highlights the importance of weekly analysis. As I am drawing the trendlines I am given the...
Breakdown of ADI. Any feedback welcome. The perfect time to make predictions is before the thing happens. Maybe there is some key price activity I am not taking into account or not fully understanding? Maybe there is some fundamental information such as PE that I don't know how to factor in...? Any takers how to explain the upward shifting value area? Is that...
Challenging myself with 10 minutes per ticker so I can exhibit some standard of efficiency. Making all of these charts nice and readable is definitely not a time saver, but I do get to see my ideas play out and that's fun for me.
Looking to go long on SNAP? Consider this picture first, please.
This is a great example of a chart that makes me realize there is much more to learn. I know there is a way to classify almost every market, but for the life of me I don't know this one. That makes me all the more motivated to monitor it, however.
AERI is a bullish stock on the Daily. 200 is gently sloping up, and the 50 and 20 have made comfortable distance. RSI divergence has occurred, and a cross on the stochastic seems imminent. I was filled at the demand zone, but the bullish engulfing candle suggests this pullback may be finished. Play at your own risk, or, put this order in on a simulator. For...
