I got stopped out below horizontal s/r level today. Looking for my lesson now. I typically do not re-enter trades on the same symbol after taking a loss, as the stop tells us when we are wrong. However, I think I could just as easily flip my bias now and get short when it pokes above the s/r value as it inevitably will. How far the poke will go is the...
Trying to stay picky and take only the bull markets I know and love. The profitable plays are in obviously trending bull markets. When this is all said and done I will know and understand what I am trying to share with you today. Play the Trending Bull Markets. Bull markets are always available. If you are interested in your own long term success, play the...
I'm really uncertain on this one. I have too many rules and lenses to look through when picking stocks. Really need to boil down my process. Of course, once I do that a part of me will say I'm being lazy and need to research my picks more thoroughly. Who knew getting along with myself would suck so much?... Me. I did. That's why I try so hard to get along with...
Looks like it's reversing to me. I have been reading a lot about trend reversals lately... so take that information for what it is. To me, it looks like its got major profit potential.... as do all trend reversals pre-maturity...
I have two ideas for twitter, both of them involve going lower before going higher. I threw on the fib extension, this time getting a little more involved in that department. This I would look at maybe on Monday again. Especially with market holiday on approach! Joyous rapture.
I am waiting for lower lows, but this is a long setup so I am selecting long. I am waiting for the 1.5 or deeper if it comes that far. Where the H/S influence ends, nobody knows. Let's find out.
I'm not at the point where I'll take the opposite of my ideas for profit, but I will bet you money this exact sequence won't happen. How are these travel companies so profitable during a pandemic? A drug trip advisor I would understand, but traveling... you people frighten me. I have also discovered the joy of the path tool. Can't argue with the path...
Do you think this pullback is safe for bulls?
I know there is a lot of profitability in managing your trade if you can successfully size in and out of a position as it moves for or against you. I agonize quite a bit on which one to pick so I can only be managing successful ones. Any differing views or ways I could have chopped it up differently, please feel free to make yourself known below vvvv.
I like this setup, because it came from my scanner, which I trust more than any living human I know. I want to go long, but it's too messy near the bottom. Might be ok for an options play, but for owning stock and requiring a stop loss I think it's a bridge too far. Still curious about the fate of the stocks that come up on my scanner, however, so that's why...
RMO had a giant performance today. This stock has been getting absolutely stripped for parts lately. Interesting to see if the sellers come in to knock it back down. If they don't, get in! When it comes to picking my stocks I'm a cheap _______ so I won't take it unless it comes back to the level of the breakout. Too many stocks out there not to take perfect...
I had a 2:1 offered to me yesterday that I let ride. Turned out to be the wrong decision, but I still made breakeven +1. Now I'm back in, hoping the break down to the lower levels is just what the big bulls were waiting for, and the bears can be satisfied, maybe go lick their fingers or something while the bulls carry the load.
I bought some chocolate and am now exposing my face to the proper way to trade this scenario. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this idea stick. Have I hit my head multiple times in my life? Yes. Still waiting on the excuse.
Does anyone who has been successful buying and selling options have any best practices for managing options to take advantage of the realities within this asset class?
Blue Sky Breakouts literally for days. Cup and handle is an associated pattern. I have drawn in the cups/handles to go along with the breaking lines. Will the bullishness from last week continue? If it does, this is a repeating pattern that markets exhibit that traders look for. You can see there is a dip/gathering phase required to fulfill this particular...
I'm really dying to get into a position today, and VUZI is the closest thing I have to a beautiful setup. But, still waiting. This is a test of my patience. I will pass.
If I was a market maker I would see the high and low points, and bounce price back and forth until the end of time, taking everyone's money, and inhaling it's sweet aroma until becoming a decaying corpse. I believe the paper would outlast the corpse. Good thing I'm not a market maker. This is currently a 25 point range, but with extreme bullish sentiment...
