The 21 EMA looks like its about to cross the 50 EMA on this daily GOOG chart. I'm wondering about a long move in GOOG, but since I'm looking for a bigger move (rather than a scalp type trade) I will wait for the trend to re-emerge before I place a trade. The crossing of the EMA is an early indication that GOOG might be moving back up but it's too early to tell.
Well it looks like GOOG is in consolidation mode. This means that I am looking elsewhere for trades at the moment. GOOG is sitting on my watchlist, but not on my trade list this week. I will be waiting before placing a trade in GOOG.
This daily chart provides a clear picture of a long trade opportunity.
GOOG continues long trend but wait for a pull back
Since my trading style is trade often and take profits, I will be looking to take my profits on this GOOG long trade from last week around the 890 level.
Even though you may be thinking that the market has begun to roll over, this chart still shows projections of a long trend off of the Daily. I'm not ready to change my long position just yet, stay tuned, but for now I'm sticking to my channel.
Well it seems that GOOG has flat lined. If you notice over the last few trading days, GOOG seems to be keeping tight with the 21 EMA. At this point I'm waiting to see some clearer conviction before making a trading assumption about a direction. As GOOG is consolidating, I'm looking for two closes below the 21 EMA before I think the long trend has changed. So until...
GOOG retraced with the broad markets and closed below it's 21 Daily EMA. Is this a retracement or a change in trend? Let's look at the evidence. GOOG's last 2 pullbacks were to the 100 EMA, technically we can retrace to $807 and not violate previous patterns. The retracement barely made it to the 38% fib level. If we bounce from here this is generally...
GOOG is firing on all cylinders, the recent parabolic move looks to be one of those "how can this go any higher moves" but GOOG history has taught us that the GOOG machine has a habit of making long and fairly large moves. The last two moves were between 60-70 days and returned around 30% each time. We are now around 19 days and 15% in to the new move, history...
