EURUSD 1D MEAN REVERSION TRADING STRATEGYBest Mean Reversion Strategy:
Before we get to that point, first and foremost, let’s see what tools we need to use for this strategy.
The best mean reversion indicator that works 85% of the time is the RSI indicator.
So, you will need the RSI oscillator on your charts.
Now, there is one more important thing that needs to be done. The RSI settings must be changed from the default 14-period to 2-period RSI. So, we’re having not just any type of RSI, but a very fast RSI. Levels are 10 & 90.
The other technical indicators we’re going to deploy on the charts are:
10-period simple moving average.
200-period moving average.
Note* Another thing to keep in mind is the recommended time frame is the daily chart. Intraday charts won’t work because the fast-period RSI will generate a lot of false signals on lower time frames.
Now, let’s see how we can combine the 3 indicators into a profitable mean reversion strategy.
The first obvious question is when to buy and sell currency.
To answer this question the mean reversion trading strategy needs to satisfy 3 triggers:
The price needs to be above the 200-day EMA. This means that the overall price is in an uptrend so, we’re only going to look for buy signals in bull markets.
Second, we look for the price to below the 10-day SMA, which shows a deviation from its mean.
Last but not least, we look at the RSI to overshoot below 10, which signals that we’re in oversold territory.
Note* For sell signals use the same trading rules but in reverse.
Once all 3 conditions are satisfied we enter a trade at the open of the following day.
Once we’re in a trade we also need, we also need to know when to exit the market. This is where the 10-period simple moving average comes into play again. What we’re looking for is for the price to reverse back to the 10-period SMA strategy.
More often than not the price will overshoot to the upside and break above the 10-period SMA.
So, to fully capitalize on the entire move we use multiple take profit targets:
The first profit target is to cash half of the position once we touch the 10-period SMA.
The second portion of your position is left until we break and close above the 10-period SMA.
Based on our backtesting result, on average your trades should reach the second target within 1-3 days. The longer you keep your position open, the lower the chances of the trade to succeed. As a general rule, you should cash out of your entire position within the first 3 trading days.
Now, we have left out for last the most important part, which is managing risk.
When it comes to the protective stop loss we’re advising not to place a stop loss right away, but instead, use a time stop.
Let me explain…
Based on our backtesting results we have found that a lot of the times the market will do a false breakout below the previous day low (high) and hurt our position.
So, to avoid this scenario we have found a great trick to move around it.
Our rule is very simple:
If by the first half of the day our position shows a loss, we close that trade and call it a day.
This is a risky play but we have the edge on our side to play this kind of trick. After all, trading is a risky game and everyone needs to decide for themselves how to manage risk.
Final Words – Best Mean Reversion Strategy
In summary, the most alluring thing about mean reversion trading is the high win-loss ratio and the simplicity behind it. One thing to keep in mind is that the mean reversion strategy tends to perform poorly when the market is in a hard-mode trend. But that shouldn’t be much of a big deal since the market is ranging 75% of the time.
The key takeaways from the mean reversion trading strategy are as follow:
Mean reversion can be used with all asset classes (stocks, commodities, currencies or cryptocurrencies).
Range trading and overbought/oversold signals work the best with this method.
Adjust the RSI settings to a fast-period.
You can generate quick profits – short holding time periods.
A trading tip – use a time stop instead of a price stop.

So, there are more opportunities to profit from mean reversion trading.

What is Mean Reversion Trading?
Put it simply; mean reversion trading assumes that over time the prices of any asset (stock, commodity, FX currency or cryptocurrency) in time will revert back to the mean or average price.
In other words, reversion to the mean trading comes down to the old saying:
“What goes up must come down.”
The mean reversion theory is at the foundation of many trading strategies that involve buying and selling of those asset class prices that have deviated from their historical averages. The idea is that in the long-term prices will return back to their previous average prices and normal pattern.
Example of mean reversion trading strategies includes:
Reversals.
Pullback trading.
Retracement.
Range trading system.
Overbought and oversold strategies.
Our best mean reversion strategy is to trade those price ranges that occur after a severe price markup or markdown. In this case, reversion to the mean implies trading around the middle of the range as our average price.
In essence, mean reversion is playing around a central value be it the middle of the range, or a moving average, or however you wish to express it.
The reversion to mean trading system tends to produce a higher win rate in those instances where we can notice extreme changes in the price.
We can measure extreme price changes relative to the time frame used.
Obviously, there is also a probability that the price will not revert back to its mean. This can indicate that there is a real shift in the market sentiment and we’re in a new paradigm.
Now that we know what is mean reversion trading, let’s see how the mean reversion regression works.
How Mean Reversion Trading Works?
With mean reversion, we’re looking to trade against the heard.
A lot of the times when you’re doing mean reversion trading, you’ll be quick in-and-out of a trade. That’s why day trading mean reversion strategy works better.
There are other different ways to trade with the mean reversion strategy, including:
Price stretch from a simple moving average strategy.
A break outside the Bollinger Bands strategy and a return back to the mean.
A test of support and resistance strategy while the price is consolidating.
The linear regression is clearly slopping upwards and it’s acting as a magnet to the price. Each time the price deviates from the average price line it snaps back to it outlining the reversion to the mean concept.
The main advantages of the mean reversion strategy include:
Effective exit strategy – the take profit target is always the average price.
High win rate – the shorter the mean reversion time frame used the higher the win rate.
Good risk-adjusted returns.
All trading strategies have their own pros and cons.
The biggest flaw is that once you’re in a trade you’ll often see first a loss before you see a profit.
The main components of the mean reversion strategy should include:
1. Entry signal after the price has moved away from its average price. You can simply calculate how far away percentage-wise are from the mean or use an ATR strategy multiple declines or simply use a volume oscillator to gauge oversold/overbought readings.
2. Exit signal gives you a way out once you get into a trade.
3. Broad market timing.
Why the Mean Reversion Strategy Works?
Mean reversion is a key element part of how all financial markets work.
Mean reversion happens because the prices have a tendency to overshoot and undershoot their intrinsic value. These “price anomalies” happens because the impact of new information that hits the market takes time to be digested by the market.
The market participants will take some time to understand the new information as the information is filtered slowly. Additionally, it takes time for the market to establish a fair value.
Secondly, mean reversion trading also works because prices also move based on collective emotions.
What this means for traders is that the price tends to overshoot to the downside a bit more than they overshoot to the upside. This is true because fear tends to be a bigger emotion than greed.
Let’s put the puzzle pieces together and construct our reversion to the mean trading strategy.

WHY DID THE BULLISH CONTINUATION MOVE FAIL?What does "End of Month Square Up" mean.
A square position is a situation where a trader or portfolio has no market exposure. ... The reason for this confusion is that the term "squaring up" is used to describe settling open trades before the market closes.
A square position is also referred to as a "flat position."
Square position, like many trading terms, can take on a different nuance depending on the speaker. For an individual forex trader, a square position can refer to offsetting long and short positions in the same currency pair or a situation where a currency trader holds no positions in the market. The reason for this confusion is that the term "squaring up" is used to describe settling open trades before the market closes. Squaring usually refers to just a few positions, but a trader could close out all of his open positions and get out of the market.
The "Market Makers" can use this trading principle as they move the market.
E/U had a Bullish Trend which became a consolidated range.
Price had a Bearish Breakout of the Range bottom which failed.
Price created Higher Highs and Higher Low making it appear a Bullish Continuation move was happening.
This drew in long traders leaving behind lots of money tied up in Stop Losses.
The Market Makers can tell where the most money is tied up on the Long side or Short Side.
It seems to appear that the Market Makers made the Bullish Continuation Reversal fail and took out the Stop Losses at the Higher Low entry point and also the 50% reversal entry point.
All of this happening the last few days of the End of the Month of October.
Could this be an example of the "END OF MONTH SQUARE UP?"

TIPS FOR INTRADAY TRADING S&P.
If you have a 9 to 5 job and you only have an hour to trade per day you can use our day trading S&P 500 strategy. Ideally, the S&P 500 day traders will be trading based on trading strategies that take a short amount of time.
Now, because the market structure is fractal in nature, we can use the same S&P trading strategy for day trading. However, we’re going to add a simple trading trick.
Day Chart
In Up-trends price has the tendency to stay glued to the 3 sma high.
In Down-trends price has the tendency to stay glued to the 3 sma low.
If you pay close attention to the price action relationship with the 3-period SMA, you will notice two things:
During strong uptrends, the price has the tendency to stay glued to the 3-SMA high.
During strong downtrends, the price has the tendency to stay glued to the 3-SMA low.
With that in mind, we can now develop a very successful day trading S&P strategy. The entry and exit rules are the same, but to avoid the inherent intraday noise we’re only going to use the daily chart as a filter as follows:
When the daily chart shows price glued to the 3-SMA high, we’re going to switch to the 15 minute time frame and only take long trades.
Remember that you need to exercise discipline and develop a successful daily routine that can fit into your schedule.
Final Words – S&P Trading System
In summary, the S&P trading strategy is a trend-dependent strategy that can ride both bullish markets and bearish markets. If you’re an aspiring trader you can use our day trading S&P 500 strategy and take advantage of the intra-day volatility.
To summarize, the S&P trading strategy has two main advantages:
The daily volatility that appeals to traders.
Broader exposure to the US stock market.
Don’t forget you can always use the S&P trading system with other markets (stocks, commodities, currencies, and cryptocurrencies) just make sure you manage your risk and keep losses at a minimum. Last but not least, protect yourself and use a proper risk management strategy.

S&P 500 INDEX DAY TRADING STRATEGYWHY TRADE S&P 500 INDEX?
Off the bat, you need to know that the S&P index moves a lot. In other words, the S&P 500 volatility is high. In the stock market, we have something called the VIX, which measures the implied volatility (expectation of future volatility) of the S&P 500 Index options.
For those of you who don’t know what’s VIX trading just search for "How to Trade VIX Strategies– Wall Street’s Fear Index."
Higher S&P trading volatility means more trading opportunities for you. If you are a relatively risk-tolerant trader, exploring the stock market can be very profitable.
You’re going to have price movements that are way far and beyond what you see in the Forex currency market.
Secondly, trading the S&P 500 will give you diversified exposure to the entire US stock market. Rather than simply owning one single stock that might or might not perform well, the S&P 500 index will give you exposure to 500 large-cap US companies.
Your performance won’t be tight to the performance of one single stock, so you can increase the chances of making a profit.
If you want to trade the US stock indices you need to know when is the best time to trade the S&P 500. In other words, we’ll examine what are the most volatile S&P 500 trading hours.
WHEN TO TRADE THE S&P 500?
The best time to trade the S&P 500 index is when the US session begins because that’s when the trading volume is the highest.
The US day trading futures market opens at 9:30 US EST.
As you'll find while trading with every market, the S&P 500 price vibrates its own unique way.
If you’re a day trader, you might wonder:
When is the best time to trade S&P 500?
The best times to trade SPX is during the hours with the highest volume:
Between 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM EST, the US stock market officially opens which overlaps with the last 1.5 hours of European trading.
Between 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM EST prior to the stock market close the professional trading activity increases again.
Usually, those are the most liquid hour of SPX trading. As a “consequence” of higher liquidity, the S&P 500 buy and sell spreads are much tighter during this time window.
To verify if this is true, check out the 15-minute chart with an 8-period ATR (Average True Range). This will measure the average range of a 2-hour period.
We must ensure that we use the best S&P 500 trading platform.

HOW TO TRADE THE S&P 500?
We’re going to outline few trading instructions to keep in mind when trading S&P 500 index.
Even when it seems like the S&P 500 price seems like consolidating, the same level of choppiness you see with Forex trading won’t occur that often with the US stock indices.
Under this circumstance, if you want to learn how to trade the S&P 500 index, you kind of know-how to trade in volatile markets.
If you want to learn more about volatility trading, please check out on the internet: Volatility trading strategy - Profit Without Forecasting Price Direction.
You can trade the US indices via:
Contracts for Difference (CFDs) which tracks the price movement of the underlying instrument. If the S&P 500 price is going up the CFD contract will rise and vice versa.
Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) which is even better. The biggest and most heavily traded ETF in the world is the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust Fund also known as the SPY.
For small investors, it’s better to trade the S&P 500 index via ETFs or CFDs due to the use of leverage. When trading SPDR S&P 500 ETF, traders can go both long and short. So, you can profit even when the market goes down.
Now, we’re going to share with you our favorite S&P trading strategy.
S&P TRADING STRATEGY
Having a systematic methodology for trading the SPX is of utmost importance.
Over the long run, the S&P 500 index has the tendency to gradually climb and every once in a while we get sharp sell-offs that can lead to stock market recessions. And the process repeats all over again, due to the fractal trading nature of the S&P 500 price.
Now, what’s the main takeaway.
If your answer is:
“It’s more profitable to buy and hold the S&P 500 index, you’re right.”
Did you know that if you bought the S&P 500 index at the close of each trading session and took a profit at the next open, you could have gained 13.3 percent return in 2019. This means you could have singlehandedly outperformed many of Wall Street's most respected hedge funds.
Note* This S&P trading strategy would have given you 3 wins and 1 loss if traded over the past 4 trading sessions.
However, this S&P trading strategy doesn’t have any strong backing to suggest it will work in the coming years. That’s why we need to develop an S&P best trading system with more consistency that can work year after year.
So, do you want to learn a simple and timeless way to trade the S&P 500 successfully?
With that in mind here is a profitable S&P trading strategy.
First, let’s lay down the things needed to trade successfully the S&P trading strategy:
3-period SMA (simple moving average strategy) calculated using the low prices
3-period SMA (simple moving average) calculated using the high prices
Note* The S&P price will be confined between the 2 moving averages 85% of the time.
Here are the entry and exit rules of the S&P trading system:
Buy at the 3-SMA low and exit your trade at the 3-SMA high.
For selling is the opposite: sell at 3-SMA high and exit your trade at the 3-SMA low.
The stop loss placement is above/below the 3-SMA low/3-SMA high.
Now, to add more confluence for our S&P 500 trading signals, we’re going to add one more element:
We’re only going to buy when we touch the 3-SMA low if both moving averages are stretching to the upside.
Conversely, we’re only going to sell when we touch the 3-SMA high if both moving averages are stretching to the downside.
As you can tell this S&P 500 trading strategy is a trend following strategy that takes advantage of the small price retracement.
EURCAD 1D RANGE TRADESRanges are repeatable trading chart patterns.
Ranges are consolidation chart patterns that can breakout either direction.
Each chart pattern will have defining trendlines of the support/resistance levels creating the pattern.
What ever time frame you are trading this chart pattern, wait for a candle close outside of the trendline in the direction of the breakout candle. (Our time frame preference is the Daily chart).
Add volume indicator - Volume is the amount of $ that went into a particular candle or in Forex the # of trades that took place.
Add ATR indicator - Volatility is the amount of price movement that occurred. Use the ATR to measure the price movement.
When you see descending Volume bars and descending ATR line (which indicates volatility) this shows
a dis-interest in traders to invest in this pair creating consolidation which creates the chart pattern.
Trade Management after there is a breakout candle close.
1 - Position size (compare volume bar to volume ma line).
a - Breakout candle must be 100% of average volume for a full position size.
b - If 75% of average volume then ½ position size. (To find 75% of Volume
look at the charts volume settings – divide smaller # into larger # = 75%+)
2 - Enter two trades.
3 - SL for both trades will be 1.5 x ATR.
4 - 1st trade TP will be 1 x ATR.
5 - No TP on 2nd trade – letting profit run and adjusting SL to follow price.
6 - When 1st TP hit – move 2nd trade SL to breakeven.
7 - Adjust the 2nd trade SL to follow price.
*8 – After Breakout candle – if price closes back into chart pattern close trade
*9 - When breakout candle is more than 1 ATR from breakout candle open.
a - Enter 1st trade at candle close with ½ position size.
b - Enter 2nd trade with a pending limit order that is 1 ATR of breakout candle open.
c – Price should pullback to that pending limit order for 2nd trade.
d – If Price returns back into chart pattern close trade before SL is hit.
BTCUSD 1D 6 STEP LONG STRATEGYHow to Trade Using the Stairs Trading Strategy
If you don’t want to trade on pure randomness, you need a trade trigger before opening an order. When the price reaches your level of interest, you need some type of confirmation.
This is where our entry technique can be applied across all types of trading strategies.
Step #1: Identify a strong trading market that has a clear bullish trend.
The first step is to identify a strong trading market that has a clear bullish trend.
The Stepping Stones strategy seeks to take advantage of the market trend, and it can be considered as another pullback trading strategy.
Our team at Trading Strategy Guides has discovered that you can benefit more by using the stochastic indicator to trade pullbacks rather than trying to pick a falling knife or to jump in front of a train.
Now let’s see how the professional Forex traders make use of the stochastic indicator.
Step #2: The Stochastic indicator needs to develop a double bottom pattern. The second bottom has to be higher than the first bottom.
It’s critical to make the difference between the double bottom price pattern and the fact that we’re looking at the stochastic indicator to develop a double bottom.
The other condition is that we need the second stochastic swing low to be higher than the first bottom.
Once these two conditions are satisfied, we still need one more caveat to be fulfilled which brings us to the next rule of how to trade stair strategy.
Step #3: Both stochastic swing lows need to be in oversold territory below the 20 level
A stochastic reading below the 20 level suggests that the market is oversold and there is a high chance of reversal.
Many times a market can remain in oversold or overbought territory longer than you can remain solvent. This is why we have put other trading rules in place so we can avoid this situation.
Now it’s time to switch our focus to the actual price and see the relationship between the stochastic indicator and the price action that needs to be satisfied.
Step #4: Look for a divergence to develop between the stochastic indicator and the market price.
Before we go any further than this, we need to clarify one thing.
The way people trade divergence is by using a variety of momentum-based indicators and measure or compare when the momentum indicator and the price diverge.
In other words, when the price makes a lower low but the momentum indicator fails to make a lower low and instead makes a higher low, then we have a situation where we have divergence.
So, what type of divergence we want to see?
In plain English, we look for the price not to drop that much compared with the stochastic indicator. Look for how the stochastic indicator is falling very fast into oversold territory, but the BTCUSD exchange rate is dropping at a much slower pace.
Note* the stronger the divergence between the stochastic indicator and the price the better the buy signal can be.
The next step will highlight the trigger for our entry order.
Step #5: Buy after the second bottom develops a stochastic crossover
The trigger for our entry is quite simple.
Once the second bottom produces a stochastic crossover, we jump straight into the market and start buying so we won’t miss a great entry opportunity. In this scenario, our entry is as close as possible to the endpoint of the retracement.
You really can use any type of exit strategy as you wish.
Now, of course, this is just an entry technique but, we want to go one step forward and outline some strategies to protect your capital and at the same time to maximize your profits.
Step #6: Place the protective stop loss below the last swing low. You determine EXIT or Take Profit when the slow stochastic moving average enters in overbought territory above 80 levels.
Place your protective stop loss 10 pips below the last swing low. We’re adding a buffer of 10 pips to protect ourselves in case of any false breakouts.
Usually, our stop will be very close to our entry price which is the reason why this swing trading strategy is such a great entry technique to keep your losses small.
Where to take profit is also quite intuitive using the stair-step chart pattern.
Once the stochastic slow moving averages enter overbought territory or when it touches the 80 level, we want to cash out. Alternatively, if you’re going to try to stay longer in the trend you can try our 10-day breakout strategy.
Note** the above was an example of a BUY trade using the stepping stones strategy. Use the same rules for a SELL trade – but in reverse.
ETHUSD 1D KELTNER CHANNEL PULLBACK TRADING STRATEGYTrading Pullbacks with Keltner Channel
Trading pullbacks successfully can only be done in the presence of a strong trend. Using the Keltner channel indicator we can study how the price behaves around the upper and lower envelopes to gauge the strength of the trend.
As you already learned when the price hugs one of the two bands and crawls along with the band, we have a case for a strong trending market.
There will be highlighted small retracements while the price hugs the upper Keltner band. Notice that the price can retrace to the area around the 20-EMA. It won’t give you an exact price, but a price zone from where the price can potentially bounce and the bullish trend can resume.
This is a good way to measure pullbacks in price. Successful trading doesn’t require catching the exact turning point.
For a better timing of our trades, we can use the Stochastic RSI indicator in combination with the Keltner indicator for more confluence.
The trade trigger is simply to follow with this Keltner Channel pullback strategy. Pull the trigger when the price retraces to the middle band and the stochastic indicator develops a crossover from oversold territory.
GBPUSD 1D WOLFE WAVE STRATEGYWhen trading the best wolfe strategy you will find that after the entry is triggered your position should show you an immediate profit. This is because the reversal pattern that emerges from the wolfe wave chart pattern is very violent.
Once we’ve got the first five waves we have the general setup of the wolf wave . After the last wave has broken above the ascending wedge channel it’s the time to get ready for some action.
Step #1: Prior to the Bearish Wolfe Wave Formation look to have a clear Bullish Trend .
Firstly, before the first wave to develop we need to have a clear trend that needs to be reversed. For high probability trades, we want to see a prior bullrish trend before the bearish wolfe wave develops.
This step is quite essential if you want to correctly trade the wolfe pattern.
Now that we’ve identified a trend, it's time to apply the wolfe wave rules to the price chart. This brings us to the next step of our reversal strategy.
Step #2: Try finding a 5 wave move that can be contained in a channel. The last wave 5 must break above the wedge channel.
A valid wolfe wave is composed of 5 waves that follow some simple rules. However, the most important rules are that wave 2 and 4 must be contained within the channel created by Wave 1 and Wave 2.
Secondly, wave 5 breaks above the trendline created by wave 1 and wave 3.
Step #3: Sell after we break above and then a candle close back inside the Wedge Price Channel .
At the moment when the price enters and closes back into the price channel , we want to enter a short position. We like to wait for the close inside in order to eliminate possible fake breakouts.
Note*: If we don’t get a close back into the wedge price channel we don’t have a valid trade signal.
Another sign to look for is how quickly it goes back into the channel. We prefer to only trade the wolfe patterns that retrace very quickly back into the range.
This is a sign that a smart money reversal is at work.
Remember, in trading, you only want to trade the high probability trade setups.
Step #4: Draw a trendline that connects the wave 1 high and wave 4 low and extend it in the future. Take profit when the EPA line is hit or candle close below it..
The line that connects the wave 1 high and wave 4 low is called the wolfe wave EPA line.
The EPA line stands for Estimated Price at Arrival and it’s an effective take profit strategy. The EPA line main purpose is to show at what price the market will extend after it reversed the previous trend.
Note*: If the EPA line is too steep, often time it means that the price will never reach it. In this case, you want to take profits early.
Step #5: Hide Protective Stop Loss above Wave 5.
The protective stop loss can be located above the last wave or wave 5. This strategy gives us a very tight stop loss which is good for our risk management strategy.
Obviously that a break above wave 5 means we also break first above the channel and this will invalidate the validity of the wolfe wave chart pattern.
Note** the above was an example of a SELL trade using the best wolfe wave strategy. Use the same rules for a BUY trade.
Conclusion - Best Wolfe Wave Strategy
The wolfe wave strategy is a trading strategy built around waves the same like Elliott Wave trading. We use other trading concepts like channeling and price symmetry to find the best possible trade signals.
If the trade works in our favor then we have a really good chance to have a good trade in terms of risk to reward ratio. With trading experience, it will become much easier to spot the wolfe wave patterns.

BTCUSD 1D THE BEST GANN FAN TRADING STRATEGY(Rules for BUY Trade)
Step #1: Pick a significant High, Draw Gann Fan Angles and Wait For the 1/1 Line to Break to the Upside.
The best Gann fan trading strategy works the same on every time frame. But we recommend not going lower than the 1h chart, as you want to be able to pick significant swing high points. This can’t be seen on the lower time frames.
Step #2: Wait for a Break Above 2/1 Gann angle Before Buying at the market
This step is significantly important because a reversal of the previous trend is only confirmed once the 2/1 Gann angle is broken to the upside. You want to buy at the market as soon as we break above 1/1 line.
Step #3: Apply again the Gann Fan Indicator on the Swing low Prior to the Breakout above 2/1 Gann Fan Angle
How to use the Gann fan indicator? Simply follow the instruction presented in the above sections. At this point, you can also get rid of the previous Gann fan angles drawn from the swing high. This will make sure your chart will not get cluttered and the price is still visible.
One of the reasons why this is the best Gann fan strategy is because we use the Gann fan indicator to track every swing in the market.
At this point, your trade is opened, but we still need to determine where to place our protective stop loss and take profit orders, which brings us to the next step of best Gann fan trading strategy.
Step #4: Place Your Protective Stop Loss below the Most Recent Swing Low Which Should Align With the Point from Where You Draw the Second Set of Gann Fan Angles.
The best Gann fan strategy has a very clear level where we should place our protective stop-loss order which is right below the swing low located prior to the 1/2 Gann angle breakout.
Next, will learn where to take profits:
Step #5: Take Profit One we Break and Close Below the 1/1 line. We Need the Close Below 1/1 line to be by at Least 20 Pips to Consider it a Valid Breakout
We want to ride the new trend for as long as possible and with the help of the Gann fan indicator, we can pinpoint the ideal time to take profits. We take profit at the earliest symptom of market weakness which is a break below the 1/1 line that signals a possible start of a bearish move.
Note** The above was an example of a buy trade using the best Gann fan strategy. Use the same rules – but in reverse – for a sell trade.
USDMXN - HOW TO TRADE WEEKLY SIGNALS WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANKThe weekly trade signals are very powerful to trade but the weekly stop losses are so large it makes you trade very small size positions.
It takes a long time for a weekly entry to hit it's first target.
This technique takes that built up explosive energy in a huge weekly pattern.
But to trade a size that will make it worth while and to get in and out of the trade more quickly.
The weekly chart shows the week of Dec. 9th is the candle that triggered the trade.
It closed on Dec 13th at an ATR of .3457.

No reason to use full week numbers on a weekly trade signal.
This applies to all markets that you trade.
We often see big patterns on indexes and metals where you can use this technique to shorten your trades.
This also allows you to use a bigger size.
Much better to see your TP hit in a day or two.
ETHUSD PRICE ACTION PIN BAR TRADING STRATEGYPin Bars
This price action strategy will focus entirely on a price pattern called pin bars. This candle is simply the price hitting a certain level and being “rejected” from it. This bar has a long tail on it with a small body.
There are different types of characteristics for a particular pin bar. For instance, the long end of the candle is the wick, while the small end (the opposite side of the body) is called the nose. Most agree the long tail, or “wick,” will be at least two-thirds the total length of the pin bar itself. The other part of the pin bar will naturally be, at the most, one-third of the candle. The open price of the candle and the close should be relatively the same price. This forms the ‘Body.’
To confirm a pin bar, you must wait for the candle to close. Just because the current candle “looks” like a pin bar, does not necessarily mean it is. in the example above, the price movement could have continued upward and closed at the top of the candle. In turn, it would not be considered a pin bar.
Basic Guidelines:
Timeframe - ANY
Market - ANY
Indicators - NONE
OTHER - Trend lines, horizontal lines, support resistance lines (anything to help you find these areas).
Step 1: Find a Pin Bar On Your Chart.
*Note This is a stock price action strategy, and a forex price action strategy. I will use a currency pair as an example. Price action charts are with any market and timeframe.
First, identify a pin bar that has formed.
Step 2: Look for Past Price Action to Determine Why The Pin Bar Formed.
Why did the reversal suddenly hit a price, and then continue back to the upside?
Let’s zoom out a bit on a daily chart. We'll figure out if we can see anything that explains what happened.
Note** you can either look at the current time frame you are on, in this case, a 1-hour time period. Or you can bump up one or two periods to gather information.
Resistance in the past can mean support in the future. What happened is the price hit this level but failed to break through it.
Since the long bullish wick formed, we decide it is time to enter this trade based on what we learned from the prior days.
This is what Price Action is all about. No two trades are the same. However, we can take what we've learned from the past. Then make the best judgment as to where the price is going in the future.
You are essentially like a detective when you trade price action. The point is to gather many pieces of evidence to back up your conclusion. You are trading with confluence. Sometimes simple is best. Study the charts and form an educated conclusion as to where the price will go.
Step 3: Trade entry
You just enter the trade 2-3 pips from the break of the nose of the pin bar.
Step 4: Stop loss
Place the stop loss 3-5 pips away from the wick. The end of the wick will be a support area. So if this is broken the trend may continue downward. Which is why you place your stop 3-5 pips away from this.
Step 5: Exit Strategy
Your exit strategy is when you hit the first level of support or resistance on your chart. As you can see, the price hit a point then stalled out. Once we see the price action stalling out, we exit the trade immediately.
Conclusion - Price Action Pin Bar Strategy
Price action is another fundamental element to learn when trading the market. There are thousands of strategies you can use with price action. It is important to find something that works for you.
These pin bars are hard to miss. They are relatively accurate when you learn why a pin bar formed. Pin bar candles are shown in any time frame. The rule of thumb is, the higher the time frame, the stronger the signals. But that does not mean that this will not work on a five-minute time frame.
Do not trade every pin bar you see that forms. Gather up key information from the charts. Then form the best conclusion to determine if you should enter the trade based on the rules.
ATR MONEY MANAGEMENT FOR GBPAUD & EURUSD 4H & 1DUsing a set amount for SL and TP for different pairs and time frames is not effective money management.
Using the ATR for a specific pair and time frame lets you custom yur SL & TP for what that pair actually moves.
ATR 1D takes the last 14 candles and adds up then up together and then divides that figure by 14.
Now you have an average of how much that pair moves in a day.
GBPAUD 1D ATR moves 133 pips
GBPAUD 4H ATR moves 47 pips
EURUSD 1D ATR moves 42 pips
EURUSD 4H ATR moves 15,6 pips
This helps me determine a more accurate setting for my SL and TP for the pair I am trading and the time frame I am using.
