VWAP Suite, Session Cloud RevOverview
The VWAP Suite with Standard Deviation Strategy is a comprehensive indicator designed to help traders make informed trading decisions based on the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) and its associated standard deviation bands. This indicator provides multiple VWAP calculations for different timeframes (Session, Day, Week, Month) and incorporates standard deviation bands to identify potential trade entry and exit points.
Components
VWAP Calculation:
Session VWAP: VWAP calculated based on the current trading session.
Day VWAP: VWAP calculated for the daily timeframe.
Week VWAP: VWAP calculated for the weekly timeframe.
Month VWAP: VWAP calculated for the monthly timeframe.
Standard Deviation Bands:
The indicator includes three standard deviation bands (StDev 1, StDev 2, and StDev 3) around the VWAP. These bands help identify the dispersion of price from the VWAP, providing insight into potential overbought or oversold conditions.
Additional VWAP Lines:
VWAP 2: An additional VWAP line with a customizable timeframe (Day, Week, Month).
VWAP 3: Another VWAP line for further analysis with a customizable timeframe (Day, Week, Month).
Strategy Description
The primary strategy implemented in this indicator revolves around the second standard deviation band (StDev 2). The key aspects of this strategy include:
Entry Points:
Long Entry: Consider entering a long position when the price moves below the lower StDev 2 band and then starts to revert back towards the VWAP. This indicates a potential oversold condition.
Short Entry: Consider entering a short position when the price moves above the upper StDev 2 band and then starts to revert back towards the VWAP. This indicates a potential overbought condition.
Exit Points:
Long Exit: Exit the long position when the price moves back up to the VWAP or the upper StDev 1 band, indicating a normalization of the price.
Short Exit: Exit the short position when the price moves back down to the VWAP or the lower StDev 1 band, indicating a normalization of the price.
Risk Management:
Set stop-loss levels slightly beyond the StDev 3 bands to protect against significant adverse price movements.
Use trailing stops to lock in profits as the price moves favorably.
Customization
The VWAP Suite allows for extensive customization, enabling traders to adjust the following settings:
VWAP Mode: Select the timeframe for the primary VWAP calculation (Session, Day, Week, Month).
Line Widths and Colors: Customize the line widths and colors for VWAP and standard deviation bands.
Fill Opacity: Adjust the opacity of the fill between standard deviation bands for better visual clarity.
Additional VWAPs: Enable and customize additional VWAP lines (VWAP 2 and VWAP 3) for further analysis.
COT Index Commercials vs large and small SpeculatorsThe COT reports for futures-only Commitments of Traders and for Futures and Options Combined Commitments of Traders are collected on Tuesdays and published every Friday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. The raw data is available free of charge on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) website.
Use it to get a better understanding on which side the smart money (producers, commercials) are trading on.
The COT index ranges from 0 to 100%. Extreme values are areas below 25% and above 75%. When the index reaches 0% or 100%, it means that the market participant has the most extreme net short or net long position in the last 26 weeks. Readings below 25% are considered as a short sentiment and readings above 75% are considered long sentiment. However the COT index is not a timing tool. It only shows the overall market sentiment of the smart money in relation over the past 26 weeks.
You can change the period to calculate the index, as well as the style, which lines to show and if you want to highlight the extreme arias.
ZigZag Smart Trend [TradingFinder] Major & Minor Structured Wave🔵 Introduction
🟣 Zigzag
Zigzag is a lagging indicator; this indicator identifies points on a price chart that have more significant changes than its previous wave and then by connecting these lines to each other, it assists traders in trend detection.
This indicator reduces random price fluctuations and attempts to make the primary price trend clearer.
🟣 Pivot
Pivots are points where the price chart changes direction. Pivots, also called reversal points, form when supply and demand forces dominate one another.
Different types of technical analysis pivots can be introduced into two categories, minor pivots, and major pivots, each of which has a specific meaning in analysis.
Major Pivot : These pivots actually indicate major changes in the direction of the chart and occur at the end of trends. Analysts seeking to reach the primary analysis focus more on major pivot points. In fact, most technical analysis tools are examined and determined based on major pivots.
Minor Pivot : This type of pivot focuses more on small and subsidiary points and directions. Therefore, it occurs at the end of corrections. Analysts focusing on minor pivots represent small trends, and it should be noted that minor pivots are not suitable for use in primary technical tools.
How to identify minor and major pivots :
Minor pivots are pivots formed between two major pivots and fail to break the opposite major pivot.
Major pivots are pivots that have either successfully broken the opposite pivot or have moved more than the previous pivot of the same type.
🔵 How to use
Based on identifying pivots and drawing zigzag lines, you can have various uses for this indicator.

Ichimoku Theories [LuxAlgo]The Ichimoku Theories indicator is the most complete Ichimoku tool you will ever need. Four tools combined into one to harness all the power of Ichimoku Kinkō Hyō.
This tool features the following concepts based on the work of Goichi Hosoda:
Ichimoku Kinkō Hyō: Original Ichimoku indicator with its five main lines and kumo.
Time Theory: automatic time cycle identification and forecasting to understand market timing.
Wave Theory: automatic wave identification to understand market structure.
Price Theory: automatic identification of developing N waves and possible price targets to understand future price behavior.
🔶 ICHIMOKU KINKŌ HYŌ
Ichimoku with lines only, Kumo only and both together
Let us start with the basics: the Ichimoku original indicator is a tool to understand the market, not to predict it, it is a trend-following tool, so it is best used in trending markets.
Ichimoku tells us what is happening in the market and what may happen next, the aim of the tool is to provide market understanding, not trading signals.
The tool is based on calculating the mid-point between the high and low of three pre-defined ranges as the equilibrium price for short (9 periods), medium (26 periods), and long (52 periods) time horizons:
Tenkan sen: middle point of the range of the last 9 candles
Kinjun sen: middle point of the range of the last 26 candles
Senkou span A: middle point between Tankan Sen and Kijun Sen, plotted 26 candles into the future
Senkou span B: midpoint of the range of the last 52 candles, plotted 26 candles into the future
Chikou span: closing price plotted 26 candles into the past
Kumo: area between Senkou pans A and B (kumo means cloud in Japanese)
The most basic use of the tool is to use the Kumo as an area of possible support or resistance.
🔶 TIME THEORY
Current cycles and forecast
Time theory is a critical concept used to identify historical and current market cycles, and use these to forecast the next ones. This concept is based on the Kihon Suchi (translating to "Basic Numbers" in Japanese), these are 9 and 26, and from their combinations we obtain the following sequence:
9, 17, 26, 33, 42, 51, 65, 76, 129, 172, 200, 257
The main idea is that the market moves in cycles with periods set by the Kihon Suchi sequence.
When the cycle has the same exact periods, we obtain the Taito Suchi (translating to "Same Number" in Japanese).
This tool allows traders to identify historical and current market cycles and forecast the next one.
🔹 Time Cycle Identification
Presentation of 4 different modes: SWINGS, HIGHS, KINJUN, and WAVES .
The tool draws a horizontal line at the bottom of the chart showing the cycles detected and their size.
The following settings are used:
Time Cycle Mode: up to 7 different modes
Wave Cycle: Which wave to use when WAVE mode is selected, only active waves in the Wave Theory settings will be used.
Show Time Cycles: keep a cleaner chart by disabling cycles visualisation
Show last X time cycles: how many cycles to display
🔹 Time Cycle Forecast
Showcasing the two forecasting patterns: Kihon Suchi and Taito Suchi
The tool plots horizontal lines, a solid anchor line, and several dotted forecast lines.
The following settings are used:
Show time cycle forecast: to keep things clean
Forecast Pattern: comes in two flavors
Kihon Suchi plots a line from the anchor at each number in the Kihon Suchi sequence.
Taito Suchi plot lines from the anchor with the same size detected in the anchored cycle
Anchor forecast on last X time cycle: traders can place the anchor in any detected cycle
🔶 WAVE THEORY
All waves activated with overlapping
The main idea behind this theory is that markets move like waves in the sea, back and forth (making swing lows and highs). Understanding the current market structure is key to having realistic expectations of what the market may do next. The waves are divided into Simple and Complex.
The following settings are used:
Basic Waves: allows traders to activate waves I, V and N
Complex Waves: allows traders to activate waves P, Y and W
Overlapping waves: to avoid missing out on any of the waves activated
Show last X waves: how many waves will be displayed
🔹 Basic Waves
The three basic waves
The basic waves from which all waves are made are I, V, and N
I wave: one leg moves
V wave: two legs move, one against the other
N wave: Three legs move, push, pull back, and another push
🔹 Complex Waves
Three complex waves
There are other waves like
P wave: contracting market
Y wave: expanding market
W wave: double top or double bottom
🔶 PRICE THEORY
All targets for the current N wave with their calculations
This theory is based on identifying developing N waves and predicting potential price targets based on that developing wave.
The tool displays 4 basic targets (V, E, N, and NT) and 3 extended targets (2E and 3E) according to the calculations shown in the chart above. Traders can enable or disable each target in the settings panel.
🔶 USING EVERYTHING TOGETHER
Please DON'T do this. This is not how you use it
Now the real example:
Daily chart of Nasdaq 100 futures (NQ1!) with our Ichimoku analysis
Time, waves, and price theories go together as one:
First, we identify the current time cycles and wave structure.
Then we forecast the next cycle and possible key price levels.
We identify a Taito Suchi with both legs of exactly 41 candles on each I wave, both together forming a V wave, the last two I waves are part of a developing N wave, and the time cycle of the first one is 191 candles. We forecast this cycle into the future and get 22nd April as a key date, so in 6 trading days (as of this writing) the market would have completed another Taito Suchi pattern if a new wave and time cycle starts. As we have a developing N wave we can see the potential price targets, the price is actually between the NT and V targets. We have a bullish Kumo and the price is touching it, if this Kumo provides enough support for the price to go further, the market could reach N or E targets.
So we have identified the cycle and wave, our expectations are that the current cycle is another Taito Suchi and the current wave is an N wave, the first I wave went for 191 candles, and we expect the second and third I waves together to amount to 191 candles, so in theory the N wave would complete in the next 6 trading days making a swing high. If this is indeed the case, the price could reach the V target (it is almost there) or even the N target if the bulls have the necessary strength.
We do not predict the future, we can only aim to understand the current market conditions and have future expectations of when (time), how (wave), and where (price) the market will make the next turning point where one side of the market overcomes the other (bulls vs bears).
To generate this chart, we change the following settings from the default ones:

Multiple MAs Signals with RSI MA Filter & Signal About the Script
The "Multiple Moving Averages Signals with RSI MA Filter and Golden Signals" script is a comprehensive trading tool designed to provide traders with detailed insights and actionable signals based on multiple moving averages and RSI (Relative Strength Index). This script combines traditional moving average crossovers with RSI filtering to enhance the accuracy of trading signals and includes "golden" signals to highlight significant long-term trend changes.
This script integrates several technical indicators and concepts to create a robust and versatile trading tool. Here's why this combination is both original and useful:
1. Multiple Moving Averages:
- Why Use Multiple MAs: Different types of moving averages (SMA, EMA, SMMA, WMA, VWMA, Hull) offer unique perspectives on price trends and volatility. Combining them allows traders to capture a more comprehensive view of the market.
- Purpose: Using multiple moving averages helps identify trend direction, support/resistance levels, and potential reversal points.
2. RSI MA Filter:
- Why Use RSI: RSI is a momentum oscillator that measures the speed and change of price movements. It is used to identify overbought or oversold conditions in a market.
- Purpose: Filtering signals with RSI moving averages ensures that trades are taken in line with the prevailing momentum, reducing the likelihood of false signals.
3. Golden Signals:
- Why Use Golden Crosses: A golden cross (50-period MA crossing above the 200-period MA) is a well-known bullish signal, while a death cross (50-period MA crossing below the 200-period MA) is bearish. These signals are widely followed by traders and institutions.
- Purpose: Highlighting these significant long-term signals helps traders identify major buy or sell opportunities and align with broader market trends.
How the Script Works
1. Moving Average Calculations:
- The script calculates multiple moving averages (MA1 to MA5) based on user-selected types (SMA, EMA, SMMA, WMA, VWMA, Hull) and periods (9, 21, 50, 100, 200).
- Golden Moving Averages: Separately calculates 50-period and 200-period moving averages for generating golden signals.
2. RSI and RSI MA Filter:
- RSI Calculation: Computes the RSI for the given period.
- RSI MA: Calculates a moving average of the RSI to smooth out the RSI values and reduce noise.
- RSI MA Filter: Traders can enable/disable RSI filtering and set custom thresholds to refine long and short signals based on RSI momentum.
3. Long & Short Signal Generation:
- Long Signal: Generated when the short-term moving average crosses above both the mid-term and long-term moving averages, and the RSI MA is below the specified threshold (if enabled).
- Short Signal: Generated when the short-term moving average crosses below both the mid-term and long-term moving averages, and the RSI MA is above the specified threshold (if enabled).
4. Golden Signals:
- Golden Long Signal: Triggered when the 50-period golden moving average crosses above the 200-period golden moving average.
- Golden Short Signal: Triggered when the 50-period golden moving average crosses below the 200-period golden moving average.
How to Use the Script
1. Customize Inputs:
- Moving Averages: Choose the type of moving averages and set the periods for up to five different moving averages.
- RSI Settings: Adjust the RSI period and its moving average period. Enable or disable RSI filtering and set custom thresholds for long and short signals.
- Signal Colors: Customize the colors for long, short, and golden signals.
- Enable/Disable Signals: Toggle the visibility of long, short, and golden signals.
2. Observe Plots and Signals:
- The script plots the selected moving averages on the chart.
- Long and short signals are marked with labels on the chart, with customizable colors for easy identification.
- Golden signals are highlighted with specific labels to indicate significant long-term trend changes.
3. Analyze and Trade:
- Use the generated signals as part of your trading strategy. The script provides visual cues to help you make informed decisions about entering or exiting trades based on multiple technical indicators.
Unique Features
1. Integration of Multiple Moving Averages: Combines various moving average types to provide a holistic view of market trends.
2. RSI MA Filtering: Enhances signal accuracy by incorporating RSI momentum, reducing the likelihood of false signals.
3. Golden Signals: Highlights significant long-term trend changes, aligning with broader market movements.
4. Customizability: Offers extensive customization options, allowing traders to tailor the script to their specific trading strategies and preferences.

Total Death and Golden Crosses Calculator The Indicator calculates the total number of the death and golden crosses in the total chart which can help the moving average user to compare the number of signals generated by the moving average pair in the given timeframe.
All you need is to plot any two moving average then change the source of the indicator to get the total number of crosses.
If Indicator is not plotting anything then right click on the indicator's scale and click on "Auto(data fits the screen" option.
Phaser [QuantVue]The Phaser indicator is a tool to help identify inflection points by looking at price relative to past prices across multiple timeframes and assets.
Phase 1 looks for the price to be higher or lower than the closing price of the bar 4 bars earlier and is complete when 9 consecutive bars meet this criterion.
A completed Phase 1 is considered perfect when the highs (bearish) or lows (bullish) have been exceeded from bars 6 and 7 of the phase.
A bullish setup requires 9 consecutive closes less than the close 4 bars earlier.
A bearish setup requires 9 consecutive closes greater than the close 4 bars earlier.
Phase 2 begins once Phase 1 has been completed. Phase 2 compares the current price to the high or low of two bars earlier.
Unlike Phase 1, Phase 2 does not require the count to be consecutive.
Phase 2 is considered complete when 13 candles have met the criteria.
An important aspect to Phase 2 is the relationship between bar 13 and bar 8.
To ensure the end of Phase 2 is in line with the existing trend, the high or low of bar 13 is compared to the close of bar 8.
A bullish imperfect 13 occurs when the current price is less than the low of 2 bars earlier, but the current low is greater than the close of bar 8 in Phase 2.
A bearish imperfect 13 occurs when the current price is greater than the high of 2 bars earlier, but the current high is less than the close of bar 8 in Phase 2.
Phase 2 does not need to go until it is complete. A Phase 2 can be canceled if the price closes above or below the highest or lowest price from Phase 1.

Papercuts Recency CandlesPapercuts Recency Candles
V0.8 by Joel Eckert @PapercutsTrading
***This is currently an experimental visual exploratory concept.***
*** Experimental tools should only be explored by fellow coders and experienced traders.***
DESCRIPTION:
As coders, how can we seamlessly transition between actual and smoothed price data sets as data ages?
This is a visual experiment to see if and how data can be smoothly transitioned from one value to another over a set number of candles. If we visualize a chart in 3 zones, a head, a body, and a tail we can start to understand how this could work. The head zone would represent the first data set of actual asset prices. The body zone would represent the transition period from the first to the to the second data set. Last, the tail zone would represent the second data set made of a Hull Moving Average of the asset.
CONCEPT:
It is conceived that data and position precision constantly shift as they decay or age, therefore making older price levels act more like price regions or zones vs exact price points. This is what I am calling Recency.
This indicator utilizes the concept of "Recency" to explore the possibility of a new style of candle. It aims to maintain accurately on recent prices action but loosen up accuracy on older price action. The very nature of this requires ALTERING HISTORICAL DATA within the body zone or transition candles to achieve the effect. It is similar to trying to merge a line chart type with a candle chart type.
This experiment of using recency for candles was to create candles that stay more accurate near current price but fade away into a simple line as they age out, resulting in a simplified view of the big picture which consists of older price action.
This experimental design theoretically will help you stay focused only on what is currently unfolding and to minimize distractions from older price nuances.
USAGE:
WHO:
This is not recommended for new traders or novices that are unfamiliar with standard tools. Standardized tools should always be used to get grounded and build a foundation.
Active traders who are familiar with trading comfortably should experiment with this to see if they find it interesting or usable.
Pine coders may find this concept interesting enough, and may adapt the idea to other elements of their own scripts if they find it interesting… I just ask they give credit where credit is due.
HOW:
The best way to visualize how this works is to do the following:
Load it on a chart.
Turn off Standard candles in Chart Setting of the current window. I actually just turn off the bodies and borders, and dim the old wicks as I like the way the old wicks look when left alone with these new candles.
Enable chart replay at a faster speed, like 3x, and play back the chart to watch the behavior of the candles.
You’ll be able to see how the head of the candle type preserves OHLC, and indicates direction but as the candle starts to age it progressively flowers into the HMA
While it plays back try adjusting settings to see how they affect behavior.
You can see the data average in real-time which often reveals how unstable actual price noise really is.
The head candle diagonals indicate the candle body direction.
SETTINGS:
Coloring: You can choose your own bullish or bearish colors to match your scheme.
Price Line: The price line is colored according to the trend and
Head Length: These candles are true to the source high and low. They remain slightly brighter than transition candles. We have a max of 50 to keep things responsive.
Time Decay Length: This is the amount of candles it takes to transition to the tail. Max is 300 to keep things responsive.
Decay Continuity: This forces transition candles to complete the HMA curve instead of creating gaps when conforming to it. The best way to visualize this feature is to run a 3x replay of an asset, and toggle the result on and off. On is preferred.
Tail HMA Length: This is the smoothing amount for the resulting HMA stepline that calculates every close, but has a delayed draw until after the transition candles. You can optionally turn off the delayed visibility to help with comprehension.
Tail HMA Weight: This is simply an option to make the tail thicker or thinner. This also adjusts the border on the head candles to help them stand out.
Show Side Bias Dots: Default true: Draws a dot when bias to one side changes to help keep you on the right side of trade. Side bias is simply the alignment of 3 moving averages in one direction.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
You'll have to turn off or dim the standard candles in your view "Chart Settings" to see this properly.
Be aware that since the candles are based on boxes and utilize the “recency concept”, which means their data decays and changes as it ages. This results in a cleaner chart overall, but exact highs and lows will be averaged out as the data decays, forming a Hull Moving Average stepline of your defined length once decay has finished.
SUMMARY OF HOW IT WORKS:
First it takes candle information and creates unique boxes that represent each candle based on the high and low. It utilizes boxes because standard candles once written, cannot be later altered or removed… which is a key element for this effect to work.
Next it creates a second box and line from open to close for the body of the Head candles. This indicates direction at a glance.
As candles age beyond the defined distance of the “Head” they enter the "Body" aka "Time Decay" zone. Here the accuracy of the high and low will be averaged down using an incremental factor of the HMA, defined by "Time Decay Length" amount of candles.
The resulting tail is an HMA of Tail HMA Length. This tail is always calculate at close, but is not drawn instantly. The draw is delayed so that there is not overlapping data, and this makes the effect look more elegant.
There are also two EMAs within the script that do nothing but help candle coloring and help provide a trade side bias. When both EMA's and the HMA align, a side bias is defined. Only when the side bias changes will a new dot is formed.
Head candles have been simplified from previous versions to be easier to read at a a glance.

🚀 Quick Guide to Using the Net Buying/Selling Flows Toolkit :
🔍 Add the Indicator : Add the indicator to you favorites. Customize the settings to fit your trading requirements.
👁️🗨️ Data Analysis : Compare the trend of Buying and Selling to help indicate whether bulls or bears are in control of the market. Utilize the different display modes to present the data in different form to suite your analysis style.
🔔 Set Alerts : Activate alerts for reversal conditions to keep abreast of significant market movements without having to monitor the charts constantly.
🌐 How It Works :
The toolkit processes volume data on a lower timeframe to distinguish between buying and selling pressures based on intra-bar price closing higher or lower than it opened. It aggregates these transactions and finds the net selling and buying that took place during that bar, offering a clearer view of market fundamentals. The indicator then plots this data visually with multiple modes including comparisons between buying/selling and the net flow of the asset. Deviation thresholds help in identifying significant changes, allowing traders to spot potential buying or selling opportunities based on the money flow dynamics. The "Sum of Flows" mode is unique from other trend following indicators as it does not determine trend based on price action, but rather based on the net buying/selling. Therefore in some cases the "Sum of Flows" mode can be a leading indicator showing bullish/bearish net flows even before the prices move significantly.
Embark on a more informed trading journey with this dynamic and insightful tool, tailor-made for those who demand precision and clarity in their trading strategies. 🌟📉📈

Bulls And Bears [CHE]This Pine Script™ indicator, Bulls And Bears , aims to provide traders with potential entry points by analyzing market conditions. Here's how it works:
Calculation of Maximum and Minimum Values: The script calculates the highest and lowest values based on the high, open, close, and low prices of the asset.
Relative Strength Index (RSI) Condition: It evaluates whether the RSI value (with a period of 14) is above 50, indicating bullish momentum.
Bullish and Bearish Conditions: Based on the calculated maximum and minimum values, along with the RSI condition, it determines bullish and bearish conditions. If the current maximum value is higher than the previous maximum and the RSI condition is met, it suggests a bullish condition. Conversely, if the current maximum value is lower than the previous maximum and the RSI condition is not met, it suggests a bearish condition.
Super Smoother Function: This function is used to calculate a smoother moving average, reducing noise in the data.
Input Parameters: Traders can adjust the "Length Difference" and "Length threshold" parameters to customize the indicator according to their trading preferences.
Calculation of Super Smooth Moving Averages: The script calculates super smooth moving averages for both bullish and bearish conditions.
Plotting: It plots the super smooth moving averages on the chart, indicating potential entry points for bullish (green) and bearish (red) conditions.
Filling Areas: It fills the areas between the moving averages and the threshold line based on the conditions. Green filling represents bullish conditions, while red filling represents bearish conditions.
By using this indicator, traders can potentially identify favorable entry points based on market conditions, helping them make informed trading decisions.
Trend Quality IndicatorDescription
This indicator is my interpretation in Pinescript of the "Trend-Quality Indicator" by David Sepiashvili.
The Trend Quality indicator (Q-indicator) is an attempt to estimate trend in relation to noise. It answers the long-standing question of whether a trend change qualifies as significant and promising, or insignificant and better ignored. In terms of noise, trend estimation not only determines whether the trend is reliable, but also allows you to measure its strength gradually. Thus, regardless of their prices, trends of various securities can easily be compared to each other or against any index.
The Trend Quality indicator (or Q-indicator) is a trend detection and estimation tool that is based on a two-step filtering technique. It measures cumulative price changes over term-oriented semi-cycles and relates them to “noise.” The approach reveals congestion and trending periods of the price movement and focuses on the most important trends, evaluating their strength in the process. The indicator is presented in a centered oscillator and banded oscillator format.
Calculation and Logic
To estimate the price dynamics, the cumulative price change (CPC) indicator is used, which measures the amount that the price has changed from a fixed starting point within a given semi-cycle. The CPC indicator is calculated as a cumulative sum of differences between the current and previous prices over the period from the fixed starting point t0. The trend within the given semi cycle can be found by calculating the moving average of the cumulative price change:
Trend = MA (CPC, m, t => t0)
Segmenting the price time series and constructing trends within the extracted semi-cycles offers the smallest average gap between actual and averaged data points. This results in a better fit of the real price dynamics.
Estimating Trend Performance
A basic criterion for estimating trend performance is the amount the trend changes over up or down semi-cycles. If there is little or no visible progress in the trend, it may be considered as nonefficient. Further, significant changes in trend may be considered as promising trading opportunities, but the term “significant” is relative and subject to interpretation.
The Q-indicator is calculated by dividing trend by noise with an appropriate correction factor.
The denominator of the Q-indicator — noise — can be defined as the average deviation of the cumulative price change from the trend. To determine linear noise, first we calculate
the absolute value of the difference between CPC and trend, and then smooth it over the n-point period:
Noise1 = MA(I CPC Trend I,n)
High positive values suggest strong uptrend, low negative values signify strong downtrend, and values fluctuating around the zero level indicate that trend and noise are in equilibrium, i.e., non-trending conditions might be present.
The root mean square noise, similar to the conventional standard deviation, can be derived by summing the squares of the difference between CPC and trend over each of the preceding n-point periods, dividing the sum by n, and calculating the square root of the result.
The Q-indicator is intended to measure trend activity. Some benchmarks can be used to determine the strength of a trend. In the range of Q-indicator values from -1 to +1, the trend is buried beneath noise. It is preferable to stay out of this zone. The greater the Q, the less the risk of trading exceeds this level (absolute value of Q>2), it can be qualified as promising.
Readings in the range from +2 to +5, or from -2 to -5, can indicate moderate trending, and readings above Q=+5 or below Q=-5 indicate strong trending. Strong upward trending often leads to the security’s overvaluing, and strong downward trending often results in the security’s undervaluing. Readings exceeding strong trending benchmarks can indicate overbought or oversold conditions and signal that price action should be monitored closely.
Input Parameters’ Description
Fast Length - the number of bars used in calculation of fast SMA of Trending Periods.
Slow Length - the number of bars used in calculation of slow SMA of Trending Periods.
Trend Length - the number of bars upon which the trend is defined.
Noise Type - defines mechanism of defining noise: linear or root mean square.
Noise Length - the number of bars upon which noise is determined.

Threshold Value - In the range of Q-indicator values from -1 to +1, the trend is buried beneath noise. It is preferable to stay out of this zone. The greater the threshold Value of Q-Indicator, the less the risk of trading exceeds this level, it can be qualified as promising. Readings in the range from +2 to +5, or from -2 to -5, can indicate moderate trending, and readings above Q=+5 or below Q=-5 indicate strong trending.

In the provided script, multi-timeframe analysis is achieved using the request.security function, which retrieves data from a different timeframe than the one on which the script is running.
Explanation of Multi-Timeframe Logic in Multi-Timeframe selection
• This option retrieves the Trend Quality (TQ) from a higher timeframe if the current chart is intraday.
• The higher timeframe is specified in minutes by the user and converted to a Pine Script timeframe string.
• If the current chart is not intraday or no higher timeframe is specified, the TQ is taken from the current timeframe
Summary:
• Trend Quality Indicator measures established TREND,
• can be used on different timeframes,
• works well on different timeframes,
• the threshold of 2 to 5 should be appropriate for most instruments. It can be modified in chart settings to adapt to your strategy.
The Trend Quality Indicator doesn't predict the future. It is intended to help traders assess the strength of the current trend, giving them a better understanding of the market conditions to make more informed trading choices.

Fourier Adjusted Average True Range [BackQuant]Fourier Adjusted Average True Range
1. Conceptual Foundation and Innovation
The FA-ATR leverages the principles of Fourier analysis to dissect market prices into their constituent cyclical components. By applying Fourier Transform to the price data, the FA-ATR captures the dominant cycles and trends which are often obscured in noisy market data. This integration allows the FA-ATR to adapt its readings based on underlying market dynamics, offering a refined view of volatility that is sensitive to both market direction and momentum.
2. Technical Composition and Calculation
The core of the FA-ATR involves calculating the traditional ATR, which measures market volatility by decomposing the entire range of price movements. The FA-ATR extends this by incorporating a Fourier Transform of price data to assess cyclical patterns over a user-defined period 'N'. This process synthesizes both the magnitude of price changes and their rhythmic occurrences, resulting in a more comprehensive volatility indicator.
Fourier Transform Application: The Fourier series is calculated using price data to identify the fundamental frequency of market movements. This frequency helps in adjusting the ATR to reflect more accurately the current market conditions.
Dynamic Adjustment: The ATR is then adjusted by the magnitude of the dominant cycle from the Fourier analysis, enhancing or reducing the ATR value based on the intensity and phase of market cycles.
3. Features and User Inputs
Customizability: Traders can modify the Fourier period, ATR period, and the multiplication factor to suit different trading styles and market environments.
Visualization : The FA-ATR can be plotted directly on the chart, providing a visual representation of volatility. Additionally, the option to paint candles according to the trend direction enhances the usability and interpretative ease of the indicator.
Confluence with Moving Averages: Optionally, a moving average of the FA-ATR can be displayed, serving as a confluence factor for confirming trends or potential reversals.
4. Practical Applications
The FA-ATR is particularly useful in markets characterized by periodic fluctuations or those that exhibit strong cyclical trends. Traders can utilize this indicator to:
Adjust Stop-Loss Orders: More accurately set stop-loss orders based on a volatility measure that accounts for cyclical market changes.
Trend Confirmation: Use the FA-ATR to confirm trend strength and sustainability, helping to avoid false signals often encountered in volatile markets.
Strategic Entry and Exit: The indicator's responsiveness to changing market dynamics makes it an excellent tool for planning entries and exits in a trend-following or a breakout trading strategy.
5. Advantages and Strategic Value
By integrating Fourier analysis, the FA-ATR provides a volatility measure that is both adaptive and anticipatory, giving traders a forward-looking tool that adjusts to changes before they become apparent through traditional indicators. This anticipatory feature makes it an invaluable asset for traders looking to gain an edge in fast-paced and rapidly changing market conditions.
6. Summary and Usage Tips
The Fourier Adjusted Average True Range is a cutting-edge development in technical analysis, offering traders an enhanced tool for assessing market volatility with increased accuracy and responsiveness. Its ability to adapt to the market's cyclical nature makes it particularly useful for those trading in highly volatile or cyclically influenced markets.
Traders are encouraged to integrate the FA-ATR into their trading systems as a supplementary tool to improve risk management and decision-making accuracy, thereby potentially increasing the effectiveness of their trading strategies.

Normalised T3 Oscillator [BackQuant]Normalised T3 Oscillator
The Normalised T3 Oscillator is an technical indicator designed to provide traders with a refined measure of market momentum by normalizing the T3 Moving Average. This tool was developed to enhance trading decisions by smoothing price data and reducing market noise, allowing for clearer trend recognition and potential signal generation. Below is a detailed breakdown of the Normalised T3 Oscillator, its methodology, and its application in trading scenarios.
1. Conceptual Foundation and Definition of T3
The T3 Moving Average, originally proposed by Tim Tillson, is renowned for its smoothness and responsiveness, achieved through a combination of multiple Exponential Moving Averages and a volume factor. The Normalised T3 Oscillator extends this concept by normalizing these values to oscillate around a central zero line, which aids in highlighting overbought and oversold conditions.
2. Normalization Process
Normalization in this context refers to the adjustment of the T3 values to ensure that the oscillator provides a standard range of output. This is accomplished by calculating the lowest and highest values of the T3 over a user-defined period and scaling the output between -0.5 to +0.5. This process not only aids in standardizing the indicator across different securities and time frames but also enhances comparative analysis.
3. Integration of the Oscillator and Moving Average
A unique feature of the Normalised T3 Oscillator is the inclusion of a secondary smoothing mechanism via a moving average of the oscillator itself, selectable from various types such as SMA, EMA, and more. This moving average acts as a signal line, providing potential buy or sell triggers when the oscillator crosses this line, thus offering dual layers of analysis—momentum and trend confirmation.
4. Visualization and User Interaction
The indicator is designed with user interaction in mind, featuring customizable parameters such as the length of the T3, normalization period, and type of moving average used for signals. Additionally, the oscillator is plotted with a color-coded scheme that visually represents different strength levels of the market conditions, enhancing readability and quick decision-making.
5. Practical Applications and Strategy Integration
Traders can leverage the Normalised T3 Oscillator in various trading strategies, including trend following, counter-trend plays, and as a component of a broader trading system. It is particularly useful in identifying turning points in the market or confirming ongoing trends. The clear visualization and customizable nature of the oscillator facilitate its adaptation to different trading styles and market environments.
6. Advanced Features and Customization
Further enhancing its utility, the indicator includes options such as painting candles according to the trend, showing static levels for quick reference, and alerts for crossover and crossunder events, which can be integrated into automated trading systems. These features allow for a high degree of personalization, enabling traders to mold the tool according to their specific trading preferences and risk management requirements.
7. Theoretical Justification and Empirical Usage
The use of the T3 smoothing mechanism combined with normalization is theoretically sound, aiming to reduce lag and false signals often associated with traditional moving averages. The practical effectiveness of the Normalised T3 Oscillator should be validated through rigorous backtesting and adjustment of parameters to match historical market conditions and volatility.
8. Conclusion and Utility in Market Analysis
Overall, the Normalised T3 Oscillator by BackQuant stands as a sophisticated tool for market analysis, providing traders with a dynamic and adaptable approach to gauging market momentum. Its development is rooted in the understanding of technical nuances and the demand for a more stable, responsive, and customizable trading indicator.

WaveTrend Oscillator PlusThe WaveTrend based on “Enhanced WaveTrend” of EliCobra. The WaveTrend Oscillator is a popular technical analysis tool used to identify overbought and oversold conditions in the market and generate trading signals. This indicator introduces additional features for improved analysis and comparison across assets.
WaveTrend:
The original WaveTrend indicator calculates two lines based on exponential moving averages and their relationship to the asset's price. The first line measures the distance between the asset's price and its EMA, while the second line smooths the first line over a specific period. The result is divided by 0.015 multiplied by the smoothed difference ('d' for reference). The indicator aims to identify overbought and oversold conditions by analyzing the relationship between the two lines.
In the original formula, the rudimentary estimation factor 0.015 times 'd' fails to accomodate for approximately a quarter of the data, preventing the indicator from reaching the traditional stationary levels of +-100. This limitation renders the indicator quantitatively biased, as it relies on the user's subjective adjustment of the levels. The enhanced version replaces this factor with the standard deviation of the asset's price, resulting in improved estimation accuracy and provides a more dynamic and robust outcome, we thereafter multiply the result by 100 to achieve a more traditional oscillation.
Enhancements and Features:
Dynamic Estimation: The original indicator uses an arbitrary estimation factor, while the enhanced version replaces it with the standard deviation of the asset's price. This modification provides a more dynamic and accurate estimation, adapting to the specific price characteristics of each asset.
Stationary Support and Resistance Levels: The enhanced version provides stationary key support and resistance levels that range from -150 to 150. These levels are determined based on the analysis of the indicator's data and encompass more than 95% of the indicator's values. These levels offer important reference points for traders to identify potential price reversals or significant price movements.
Comparison Across Assets: The enhanced version allows for better comparison and analysis across different assets. By incorporating the standard deviation of the asset's price, the indicator provides a more consistent and comparable interpretation of the market conditions across multiple assets.
Z-Score Analysis:
The Z-Score is a statistical measurement that quantifies how far a particular data point deviates from the mean in terms of standard deviations. In the enhanced version, the calculation involves determining the basis (mean) and deviation (standard deviation) of the asset's price to calculate its Z-Score, thereafter applying a smoothing technique to generate the final WaveTrend value.
Utility:
The offers traders and investors valuable insights into overbought and oversold conditions in the market. By analyzing the indicator's values and referencing the stationary support and resistance levels, traders can identify potential trend reversals, evaluate market strength, and make better informed analysis.

yatsThis is a helper indicator for "yats" (Yet Another Trading Strategy).
This is a grouping of several indicators in one to help with a very basic trend following strategy. In order to utilize this indicator, it is best to have your chart set to a Line chart.
How to use:
This is a basic trend strategy in which the trader will enter or reverse their position on the break of the trend.
With the chart set to line and the source set to close, a basic line with peaks and valleys is displayed.
When the line peaks, then retreats, this is a potential setup for a long position. The trader is to wait for a valley (lower point) to be formed and then for the previous peak to be broken.
The timeframe continuity labels in the lower right of the chart help to ensure the position taken is in line with the higher timeframe trend.
Example scenario (long):
Chart is set to 1H timeframe. Timeframe continuity indicator will have labels for 1H, 4H, Day, WK, MN, and QTR. Chart shows a peak at a close price of 5 then the next bar sets a valley at a close price of 4.
Next bar forms and sets a close price of 6. Timeframe continuity labels are green for 1H, 4H, Day, and WK. (At least three higher timeframes should match the direction of the desired trade.)
This is a signal to go long as the previous peak was broken and timeframe continuity is in the direction
of the trade (long). Initial conservative stoploss should be placed at the previous valley (4). A wider stoploss could be placed at the low created when the close was 4. This is made visible by the default red line
when Candle Highs and Lows plots are turned on. Stoploss is then trailed up either by each subsequent higher low, OR with each subsequent dip as price moves higher.
A target can be set, but is not an integral part of this strategy.
Features:
Full Timeframe Continuity:
In the lower right corner of the chart will be indicators for timeframes greater than or equal to the chart timeframe.
Each one will be Red, Green, or White to indicate down, up, or flat. This provides you with the direction of the higher timeframes in real time, before the bar has closed.
Potential Support/Resistance Points:
The indicator plots horizontal rays for the previous Day, Week, and Month for the High, Low, and Close. Day = Orange, Week = White, Month = Purple. High and Low are solid lines while Close is a dashed line.
This provides the trader with potential pivot points based on higher timeframe high, low, and close prices. The horizontal rays will automatically move to the right at the start of the newest day, week, or month.
Candle Highs and Lows:
Since the chart should be set to Line instead of Candles or Bars, this indicator provides plots that follow the Highs (Green) and Lows (Red) of each 'bar' of the chart timeframe. This has been made configurable
so these lines can be turned off or edited in the settings for those who do not want them on the chart or just want them to look different.
Correlated Movement Indicator V2Hello!
This script was briefly known as as Bing Chilling. I converted this to Pine Script V5 to ensure compliance with publishing requirements.
This script tracks RSI and inserts an indicator when correlated movement is detected. Proximity of current tick to indicator origin tick determines freshness of the indicator.
DO NOT sit on the indicator for a long time. This is not a magic solution. It is very accurate but, not always precise. Ensure that you use other factors to determine the relevance of the indicator on current tick. This script can technically be used on any security/commodity/currency. Your Mileage May Vary! Proceed with caution as always.
General Workflow:
Look at proximity to where the flag is placed, general volatility, and other indicators and you can potentially determine the direction/strength. Not always the duration. The indicator could be for 30s, 1hr, 1 day, or whatever the market feels like. It depends on precision/quantity of pricing data. ex. 30min tick rate pricing vs. 1 day tick rate pricing will change the scope.
So if the time scope shows all sell from 1 week -> 3 months except for a couple recent buy indicators on the day, then it may be a bad call long term but, might be good for a short term play. Very volatile. Careful.
If it was all green with long term indicators such as 1 month -> 1 year, then it looks more like a buy and forget type strategy.
If it's all green with a recent red then you can try and figure out what the relative the bottom is so you can buy for long term at a slightly more favorable price.
Flip all that for shorting. I highly recommend AGAINST shorting since the stakes are very different and usually involves taking out what is essentially a loan to bet against the market.
This script pairs nicely with the top pick indicator when you search "Heiken Ashi". I use that to determine peaks and pits to better guess a good time to open a position.
This should be used alongside other indicators. Good for short term day trading and long term hold and forget. (Don't actually forget. Set some alerts periodically.)
Please use caution. Please do not take what I've said here as fact and diamond pepe hands bet all on green to the moon. This, like all the other strategies and indicators on this site, are used as tools to inform you about potential and to categorize/depict data in a more human recognizable way. If you have access to a paper account try there first.
Happy trading!

Volatility ATR Support and Resistance Bands [Quantigenics]Volatility ATR Support and Resistance Bands
The “Volatility ATR Support and Resistance Bands” is a trend visualization tool that uses Average True Range (ATR) to create a dynamic channel around price action, adapting to changes in volatility and offering clear trend indicators. The band direction can indicate trend and the lines can indicate support and resistance levels.
The script works by calculating a series of moving averages from the highest and lowest prices, then applies an ATR-based multiplier to generate a set of bands. These bands expand and contract with the market’s volatility, providing a visual guide to the strength and potential direction of price movements.
How to Trade with Volatility ATR Band:
Identify Trend Direction: When the bands slope upwards, the market is trending upwards, which may be a good opportunity to consider a long position. When the bands slope downward, the market is trending downwards, which could be a sign to sell or short.
Volatility Awareness: The wider the bands, the higher the market volatility. Narrow bands suggest a quieter market, which might indicate consolidation or a potential breakout/breakdown.
Confirm Entries and Exits: Use the bands as dynamic support and resistance; entering trades as the price bounces off the bands and considering exits as it reaches the opposite side or breaches the bands.
Hope you enjoy this script!
Happy trading!
