Dual Timeframe Williams Percent RangeThis is a dual timeframe Williams Percent Range indicator.
Function:
The idea behind this indicator is for trader to see what the Williams %r is doing on higher timeframes without the need to change the chart. I added the "Smoothing" function to take the jagged lines out of the higher timeframe. It has a better flow this way.
If we choose the 4H and the Daily timeframes for example. In this bullish situation I wait for the Daily WPR to cross above the -50 mid line. Then the faster 4H WPR will eventually hit the bottom and begin to rise again back into the trend.
This is the "Reset" of the 4H WPR and when the 4H WPR crosses up above the -50 mid line again it means price should begin to rise on the chart. I added the option to change the colour when the signal lines cross the -50. It is good to use a fast time frame so you can see the WPR hitting the bottom in an uptrend, but not too fast.
The Heiken Ashi candle sticks are a very good addition to this system. You can also use a colour changing 200 EMA if you run the "1H/Daily" in the WPR. Or the 50 EMA if you run the Daily 4H.
This system could be used on lower timeframes too but I have not tested it there.
The Dual WPR indicator, the colour changing 50 EMA and Heiken Ashi have been optimised for the 4H/Daily.
If you want to set alerts the the faster WPR line crossing the -50 is good, on candle close.
This way you will only need one alert per chart.
If you get an alert on the EURUSD 4H that the 4H WPR has crossed up then look to see what what the Daily WPR is doing. If it is also above the -50 mid line then EURUSD is probably trending up.
Thank you to TradingView for supplying the Williams %r template.
I hope this helps some other traders out there.
I combined the Supertrend and the Coloured EMA in the main screen into one indicator.
This is my first indicator published :-)
Have fun out there and good luck.

RSI Confirm Trend with Williams (W%R)RSI Confirm Trend with Williams (W%R)
This is the "RSI Confirm Trend with Williams (W%R)" indicator
This is a modification of the "RSI Trends" indicator by zzzcrypto123.
What Is the Relative Strength Index (RSI)?
The relative strength index (RSI) is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis. RSI measures the speed and magnitude of a security's recent price changes to evaluate overvalued or undervalued conditions in the price of that security.
What is Williams %R?
Williams %R, also known as the Williams Percent Range, is a type of momentum indicator that moves between 0 and -100 and measures overbought and oversold levels. The Williams %R may be used to find entry and exit points in the market. The indicator is very similar to the Stochastic oscillator and is used in the same way. It was developed by Larry Williams and it compares a stock’s closing price to the high-low range over a specific period, typically 14 days or periods.
How Does "RSI Confirm Trend with Williams (W%R)" work?
This indicator combines the momentum of both RSI and Williams %R by adding upper and lower thresholds. When the thresholds are broken, this indicator changes color from gray to either green or red.
What Are The Thresholds?
The default RSI thresholds are 55 and 45. These values are configurable.
The default Williams %R thresholds are 80 and 20. These values are configurable and made positive so it can be plotted against the RSI line.
How To Use?
When the RSI exceeded the upper/lower thresholds, the RSI line color will change from gray to lighter green/red color.
When the Williams %R exceeded the upper/lower thresholds, the RSI color will change to darker green/red color signifying a strong momentum in that direction.
When the RSI color is gray, this means the RSI and Williams %R thresholds are not broken which can also signify as no trend or consolidation.
The Williams %R line is not displayed by default but can be enabled using the checkbox provided in the Style tab.
This "RSI Confirm Trend with Williams (W%R)" indicator can be combined with other technical indicators to verify the idea behind this theory.

Williams %R Strategy
The Williams %R Strategy is a trading approach that is based on the Williams Percent Range indicator, available on the TradingView platform.
This strategy aims to identify potential overbought and oversold conditions in the market, providing clear buy and sell signals for entry and exit.
The strategy utilizes the Williams %R indicator, which measures the momentum of the market by comparing the current close price with the highest high and lowest low over a specified period. When the Williams %R crosses above the oversold level, a buy signal is generated, indicating a potential upward price movement. Conversely, when the indicator crosses below the overbought level, a sell signal is generated, suggesting a possible downward price movement.
Position management is straightforward with this strategy. Upon receiving a buy signal, a long position is initiated, and the position is closed when a sell signal is generated. This strategy allows traders to capture potential price reversals and take advantage of short-term market movements.
To manage risk, it is recommended to adjust the position size based on the available capital. In this strategy, the position size is set to 10% of the initial capital, ensuring proper risk allocation and capital preservation.
It is important to note that the Williams %R Strategy should be used in conjunction with other technical analysis tools and risk management techniques. Backtesting and paper trading can help evaluate the strategy's performance and fine-tune the parameters before deploying it with real funds.
Remember, trading involves risks, and past performance is not indicative of future results. It is always advised to do thorough research, seek professional advice, and carefully consider your financial goals and risk tolerance before making any investment decisions.
Composite MomentumComposite Momentum Indicator - Enhancing Trading Insights with RSI & Williams %R
The Composite Momentum Indicator is a powerful technical tool that combines the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Williams %R indicators from TradingView. This unique composite indicator offers enhanced insights into market momentum and provides traders with a comprehensive perspective on price movements. By leveraging the strengths of both RSI and Williams %R, the Composite Momentum Indicator offers distinct advantages over a simple RSI calculation.
1. Comprehensive Momentum Analysis:
The Composite Momentum Indicator integrates the RSI and Williams %R indicators to provide a comprehensive analysis of market momentum. It takes into account both the strength of recent price gains and losses (RSI) and the relationship between the current closing price and the highest-high and lowest-low price range (Williams %R). By combining these two momentum indicators, traders gain a more holistic view of market conditions.
2. Increased Accuracy:
While the RSI is widely used for measuring overbought and oversold conditions, it can sometimes generate false signals in certain market environments. The Composite Momentum Indicator addresses this limitation by incorporating the Williams %R, which focuses on the price range and can offer more accurate signals in volatile market conditions. This combination enhances the accuracy of momentum analysis, allowing traders to make more informed trading decisions.
3. Improved Timing of Reversals:
One of the key advantages of the Composite Momentum Indicator is its ability to provide improved timing for trend reversals. By incorporating both RSI and Williams %R, traders can identify potential turning points more effectively. The Composite Momentum Indicator offers an early warning system for identifying overbought and oversold conditions and potential trend shifts, helping traders seize opportunities with better timing.
4. Enhanced Divergence Analysis:
Divergence analysis is a popular technique among traders, and the Composite Momentum Indicator strengthens this analysis further. By comparing the RSI and Williams %R within the composite calculation, traders can identify divergences between the two indicators more easily. Divergence between the RSI and Williams %R can signal potential trend reversals or the weakening of an existing trend, providing valuable insights for traders.
5. Customizable Moving Average:
The Composite Momentum Indicator also features a customizable moving average (MA), allowing traders to further fine-tune their analysis. By incorporating the MA, traders can smooth out the composite momentum line and identify longer-term trends. This additional layer of customization enhances the versatility of the indicator, catering to various trading styles and timeframes.
The Composite Momentum Indicator, developed using the popular TradingView indicators RSI and Williams %R, offers a powerful tool for comprehensive momentum analysis. By combining the strengths of both indicators, traders can gain deeper insights into market conditions, improve accuracy, enhance timing for reversals, and leverage divergence analysis. With the added customization of the moving average, the Composite Momentum Indicator provides traders with a versatile and effective tool to make more informed trading decisions.
Typical Price Difference - TPD © with reversal zones and signalsv1.0 NOTE: The maths have been tested only for BTC and weekly time frame.
This is a concept that I came through after long long hours of VWAP trading and scalping.
The idea is pretty simple:
1) Typical Price is calculated by (h+l+c) / 3. If we take this price and adjust it to volume we get the VWAP value. The difference between this value and the close value, i call it " Typical Price Difference - TPD ".
2) We get the Historical Volatility as calculated by TradingView script and we add it up to TPD and divide it by two (average). This is what I call " The Source - TS ".
3) We apply the CCI formula to TS .
4) We calculate the Rate of Change (roc) of the CCI formula.
5) We apply the VIX FIX of Larry Williams (script used is from ChrisMoody - CM_Williams_Vix_Fix Finds Market Bottoms) *brilliant script!!!
How to use it:
a) When the (3) is over the TPD we have a bullish bias (green area). When it's under we have a bearish bias (red area).
b) If the (1) value goes over or under a certain value (CAUTION!!! it varies in different assets or timeframes) we get a Reversal Zone (RZ). Red/Green background.
c) If we are in a RZ and the VIX FIX gives a strong value (look for green bars in histogram) and roc (4) goes in the opposite direction, we get a reversal signal that works for the next week(s).
I applied this to BTC on a weekly time frame and after some corrections, it gives pretty good reversal zones and signals. Especially bottoms. Also look for divergences in the zones/signals.
As I said I have tested and confirmed it only on BTC/weekly. I need more time with the maths and pine to automatically adjust it to other time frames. You can play with it in different assets or time frames to find best settings by hand.
Feel free to share your thoughts or ideas on this.
P.S. I realy realy realy try to remember when or how or why I came up with the idea to combine typical price with historical volatility and CCI. I can't! It doesn't make any sense LOL
End-pointed SSA of Williams %R [Loxx]End-pointed SSA of Williams %R is an indicator that runes Williams %R SSA calculation through a Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) algorithm to derive a smoother final output. The reduction in noise from the traditional Williams %R is significant.
What is Williams %R?
Williams %R , also known as the Williams Percent Range, is a type of momentum indicator that moves between 0 and -100 and measures overbought and oversold levels. The Williams %R may be used to find entry and exit points in the market. The indicator is very similar to the Stochastic oscillator and is used in the same way. It was developed by Larry Williams and it compares a stock’s closing price to the high-low range over a specific period, typically 14 days or periods.
What is Singular Spectrum Analysis ( SSA )?
Singular spectrum analysis ( SSA ) is a technique of time series analysis and forecasting. It combines elements of classical time series analysis, multivariate statistics, multivariate geometry, dynamical systems and signal processing. SSA aims at decomposing the original series into a sum of a small number of interpretable components such as a slowly varying trend, oscillatory components and a ‘structureless’ noise. It is based on the singular value decomposition ( SVD ) of a specific matrix constructed upon the time series. Neither a parametric model nor stationarity-type conditions have to be assumed for the time series. This makes SSA a model-free method and hence enables SSA to have a very wide range of applicability.
For our purposes here, we are only concerned with the "Caterpillar" SSA . This methodology was developed in the former Soviet Union independently (the ‘iron curtain effect’) of the mainstream SSA . The main difference between the main-stream SSA and the "Caterpillar" SSA is not in the algorithmic details but rather in the assumptions and in the emphasis in the study of SSA properties. To apply the mainstream SSA , one often needs to assume some kind of stationarity of the time series and think in terms of the "signal plus noise" model (where the noise is often assumed to be ‘red’). In the "Caterpillar" SSA , the main methodological stress is on separability (of one component of the series from another one) and neither the assumption of stationarity nor the model in the form "signal plus noise" are required.
"Caterpillar" SSA
The basic "Caterpillar" SSA algorithm for analyzing one-dimensional time series consists of:
Transformation of the one-dimensional time series to the trajectory matrix by means of a delay procedure (this gives the name to the whole technique);
Singular Value Decomposition of the trajectory matrix;
Reconstruction of the original time series based on a number of selected eigenvectors.
This decomposition initializes forecasting procedures for both the original time series and its components. The method can be naturally extended to multidimensional time series and to image processing.
The method is a powerful and useful tool of time series analysis in meteorology, hydrology, geophysics, climatology and, according to our experience, in economics, biology, physics, medicine and other sciences; that is, where short and long, one-dimensional and multidimensional, stationary and non-stationary, almost deterministic and noisy time series are to be analyzed.

CFB-Adaptive, Williams %R w/ Dynamic Zones [Loxx]CFB-Adaptive, Williams %R w/ Dynamic Zones is a Jurik-Composite-Fractal-Behavior-Adaptive Williams % Range indicator with Dynamic Zones. These additions to the WPR calculation reduce noise and return a signal that is more viable than WPR alone.
What is Composite Fractal Behavior ( CFB )?
All around you mechanisms adjust themselves to their environment. From simple thermostats that react to air temperature to computer chips in modern cars that respond to changes in engine temperature, r.p.m.'s, torque, and throttle position. It was only a matter of time before fast desktop computers applied the mathematics of self-adjustment to systems that trade the financial markets.
Unlike basic systems with fixed formulas, an adaptive system adjusts its own equations. For example, start with a basic channel breakout system that uses the highest closing price of the last N bars as a threshold for detecting breakouts on the up side. An adaptive and improved version of this system would adjust N according to market conditions, such as momentum, price volatility or acceleration.
Since many systems are based directly or indirectly on cycles, another useful measure of market condition is the periodic length of a price chart's dominant cycle, (DC), that cycle with the greatest influence on price action.
The utility of this new DC measure was noted by author Murray Ruggiero in the January '96 issue of Futures Magazine. In it. Mr. Ruggiero used it to adaptive adjust the value of N in a channel breakout system. He then simulated trading 15 years of D-Mark futures in order to compare its performance to a similar system that had a fixed optimal value of N. The adaptive version produced 20% more profit!
This DC index utilized the popular MESA algorithm (a formulation by John Ehlers adapted from Burg's maximum entropy algorithm, MEM). Unfortunately, the DC approach is problematic when the market has no real dominant cycle momentum, because the mathematics will produce a value whether or not one actually exists! Therefore, we developed a proprietary indicator that does not presuppose the presence of market cycles. It's called CFB (Composite Fractal Behavior) and it works well whether or not the market is cyclic.
CFB examines price action for a particular fractal pattern, categorizes them by size, and then outputs a composite fractal size index. This index is smooth, timely and accurate
Essentially, CFB reveals the length of the market's trending action time frame. Long trending activity produces a large CFB index and short choppy action produces a small index value. Investors have found many applications for CFB which involve scaling other existing technical indicators adaptively, on a bar-to-bar basis.
What is Jurik Volty used in the Juirk Filter?
One of the lesser known qualities of Juirk smoothing is that the Jurik smoothing process is adaptive. "Jurik Volty" (a sort of market volatility ) is what makes Jurik smoothing adaptive. The Jurik Volty calculation can be used as both a standalone indicator and to smooth other indicators that you wish to make adaptive.
What is the Jurik Moving Average?
Have you noticed how moving averages add some lag (delay) to your signals? ... especially when price gaps up or down in a big move, and you are waiting for your moving average to catch up? Wait no more! JMA eliminates this problem forever and gives you the best of both worlds: low lag and smooth lines.
Ideally, you would like a filtered signal to be both smooth and lag-free. Lag causes delays in your trades, and increasing lag in your indicators typically result in lower profits. In other words, late comers get what's left on the table after the feast has already begun.
What are Dynamic Zones?
As explained in "Stocks & Commodities V15:7 (306-310): Dynamic Zones by Leo Zamansky, Ph .D., and David Stendahl"
Most indicators use a fixed zone for buy and sell signals. Here’ s a concept based on zones that are responsive to past levels of the indicator.
One approach to active investing employs the use of oscillators to exploit tradable market trends. This investing style follows a very simple form of logic: Enter the market only when an oscillator has moved far above or below traditional trading lev- els. However, these oscillator- driven systems lack the ability to evolve with the market because they use fixed buy and sell zones. Traders typically use one set of buy and sell zones for a bull market and substantially different zones for a bear market. And therein lies the problem.
Once traders begin introducing their market opinions into trading equations, by changing the zones, they negate the system’s mechanical nature. The objective is to have a system automatically define its own buy and sell zones and thereby profitably trade in any market — bull or bear. Dynamic zones offer a solution to the problem of fixed buy and sell zones for any oscillator-driven system.
An indicator’s extreme levels can be quantified using statistical methods. These extreme levels are calculated for a certain period and serve as the buy and sell zones for a trading system. The repetition of this statistical process for every value of the indicator creates values that become the dynamic zones. The zones are calculated in such a way that the probability of the indicator value rising above, or falling below, the dynamic zones is equal to a given probability input set by the trader.
To better understand dynamic zones, let's first describe them mathematically and then explain their use. The dynamic zones definition:
Find V such that:
For dynamic zone buy: P{X <= V}=P1
For dynamic zone sell: P{X >= V}=P2
where P1 and P2 are the probabilities set by the trader, X is the value of the indicator for the selected period and V represents the value of the dynamic zone.
The probability input P1 and P2 can be adjusted by the trader to encompass as much or as little data as the trader would like. The smaller the probability, the fewer data values above and below the dynamic zones. This translates into a wider range between the buy and sell zones. If a 10% probability is used for P1 and P2, only those data values that make up the top 10% and bottom 10% for an indicator are used in the construction of the zones. Of the values, 80% will fall between the two extreme levels. Because dynamic zone levels are penetrated so infrequently, when this happens, traders know that the market has truly moved into overbought or oversold territory.
Calculating the Dynamic Zones
The algorithm for the dynamic zones is a series of steps. First, decide the value of the lookback period t. Next, decide the value of the probability Pbuy for buy zone and value of the probability Psell for the sell zone.
For i=1, to the last lookback period, build the distribution f(x) of the price during the lookback period i. Then find the value Vi1 such that the probability of the price less than or equal to Vi1 during the lookback period i is equal to Pbuy. Find the value Vi2 such that the probability of the price greater or equal to Vi2 during the lookback period i is equal to Psell. The sequence of Vi1 for all periods gives the buy zone. The sequence of Vi2 for all periods gives the sell zone.
In the algorithm description, we have: Build the distribution f(x) of the price during the lookback period i. The distribution here is empirical namely, how many times a given value of x appeared during the lookback period. The problem is to find such x that the probability of a price being greater or equal to x will be equal to a probability selected by the user. Probability is the area under the distribution curve. The task is to find such value of x that the area under the distribution curve to the right of x will be equal to the probability selected by the user. That x is the dynamic zone.

Williams %R on Chart w/ Dynamic Zones [Loxx]Williams %R on Chart w/ Dynamic Zones is a Williams %R indicator but instead of being an oscillator it appears on chart. The WPR calculation used here leverages T3 moving average for its calculation. In addition, the WPR is bound by Dynamic Zones.

Williams %R w/ Bollinger Bands [Loxx]Williams %R w/ Bollinger Bands is a Williams %R indicator with Bollinger bands. The Bollinger bands are used to determine when breakouts/breakdowns occur.

MACD Willy StrategyThis strategy is mainly developed for scalping / intraday trading. It could potentially be used to identify entry/exit signals for short term options trading. It performs decently well on popular stocks when used on time frames between 5 min to 15 min using regular session bar data. It combines 3 popular indicators, EMA, MACD, and William %range, to generate both long and short signals.
EMA:
Default is 200 EMA line.
MACD:
Default is 12/26 lengths for fast/slow signal inputs.
William %R - Smoothed (Published):
This is a custom indicator that generates two moving average lines from the original William %R line.
How it works:
Entry conditions:
1. Long/short entries when bar closes above/below EMA line
2. Long/short entries when MACD line is above/below signal line (histogram > 0 for long, < 0 for short)
3. Long/short entries when William %R fast MA line is above/below slow MA line
Exit conditions:
1. Exit long when MACD line is below signal line, vise versa for exit short
2. Exit long when William %R fast MA line is below slow MA line, vise versa for exit short
3. Exit long when William %R fast MA line must in below the overbought (-20) limit, exit short when above the oversold (-80) limit.

Williams %R - SmoothedFrom TradingView's description:
Williams %R (%R) is a momentum-based oscillator used in technical analysis, primarily to identify overbought and oversold conditions. The %R is based on a comparison between the current close and the highest high for a user defined look back period. %R Oscillates between 0 and -100 (note the negative values) with readings closer to zero indicating more overbought conditions and readings closer to -100 indicating oversold. Typically %R can generate set ups based on overbought and oversold conditions as well overall changes in momentum.
What's special?
This indicator adds two additional EMA lines to the original Williams %R indicator. Default EMA lengths are 5 and 13. The result is 2 smoother average lines, which are easier to read.
This indicator includes:
- signals for EMA crosses. EMA crosses can help indicate confirmed trend changes. Default colors are green and red
- signals for trend reversals on the faster EMA line. Default colors are blue and orange
Alerts available for bullish/bearish crossovers and reversals.

Williams %R with multiple periodsWilliams %R technical analysis oscillator by Larry Williams with 8 customizable periods and fills. Default periods: 10, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233. Default colors: "One Half" color scheme by Son A. Pham.
Circular Barplot - Oscillators Sentiment [LuxAlgo]This indicator is an implementation of a circular barplot aiming to return the market sentiment given by multiple normalized oscillators. These include the relative strength index (RSI), Stochastic %K (%K), Linear Correlation Oscillator (ROSC), William Percent Range (WPR), Percent Rank (%R), and money flow index (MFI).
The length period of each of these oscillators can be adjusted in the indicator settings.
The label in the center of the circular plot returns the average market sentiment constructed from all the previously mentioned oscillators.
Settings
Width: Circle width.
Spacing: Determines how close each circle is to the other.
Thickness: Width of the colored lines.
Offset: Controls how far the circular barplot left extremity is from the most recent candles.
Src: Input source of the indicators.
Usage
Unlike regular bar charts, circular bar plots display the bars as circle arcs and have the advantage of preserving horizontal and vertical space. A higher arc length would indicate a value closer to the maximal value of the oscillator. Other variations of the circular barplots exist but this variation using the circle arc is particularly appropriate for normalized data.
The indicator can be used as a simple widget giving a quick method to obtain the overall market sentiment of a certain ticker. A dashboard is displayed on the top left of the chart in the event the user wants to see the actual value of the oscillators.
Note that low width or high spacing settings might return unwanted results.
Williams %RHi! WPR is the Williams percentage range indicator in my design. The main idea is that the intersection of the indicator and the moving average in the overbought and oversold zones + color highlighting gives more clear visual signals for making trading decisions based on this indicator.
Greed and Fear ScoreHi All,
This is Greed and Fear Score script. The uses of this indicator is to let users know what is the state for each bar closed.
Warren Buffett once said that it is wise for investors to be “fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.
Greed & Fear Score (range from 1 - 5) has taken multiple measurements into consideration such as CCI, MFI, RSI, RVI and William %R.
The range of score is from 1 - 5 indicating weak to strong.
Red/Yellow represents Greed score.
Blue/Light Blue represents Fear score.
The Bull & Bear Transition Score (range from 1 - 10) is to measure how strong power needed to reverse the Greed or Fear State.
It is a powerful tool that incorporates CMF, MFI, CCI, MOMENTUM, OBV, RSI, RVI, WILLIAN %R, PRICE OSCILLATOR and Relative Volume.
How to use Bull & Bear Transition Score?
The higher the Bull & Bear Score, the more likely it will change from one state to another.
How to find BEST opportunity? Here comes the special symbol.
User can choose best fit combination by using filtering.
QuantMEX Force OscillatorsQuantMEX Force Oscillators
Objective: to identify the strength of the asset price trend based on several oscillators in order to generate a buy and sell signal.
Oscillators used: Relative Strength Index , Stochastic , Commodity Channel Index , Awesome Oscillator , Momentum , MACD , Stochastic RSI , Williams % and Ultimate Oscillator ( soon we will select more suitable oscillators for this indicator ).
Parameters and optimization: the simplicity of this indicator's functionality consists of optimizing only the percentage of the buying force and the percentage of the selling force instead of optimizing each parameter of the oscillators used. As a standard parameter, we use 70% for both sides, when the strength of the indicator is greater than or equal to 70%, the buy or sell signal is generated.
Data panel: the panel is divided into three parts, the first part makes it possible to analyze in real time the performance of the oscillators for the current graph, the second part the possibility to analyze the buying and selling forces in real time for the current graph and in the third part , the multi time frame feature allows you to analyze the forces in the times of 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week and 1 month ( the green color indicates buying strength and the red color indicates selling strength ).
It is recommended to use the signal after closing the current bar.
Jackrabbit.modulus.JRlingThis is the standalone version of JRling, with the full capability of the modulus framework. JRling is a strategic blend of moving averages, multiple RSI , multiple Stochastics, Bollinger Bands , and Williams %R .
The number of confirming buys and sells can be selected from the settings menu. This module supports full confirmation bias/crossover and differential timeframe analysis.
The Jackrabbit modulus framework is a plug in play paradigm built to operate through TradingView's indicator on indicatior (IoI) functionality. As such, this script receives a signal line from the previous script in the IoI chain, and evaluates the buy/sell signals appropriate to the current analysis.
