The Upstream segment explores, develops, produces, and sells oil and natural gas. The Coal-Fired Thermal Plants segment covers electric power fired by mineral coal imported with energy trading agreement in the regulated environment. The Energy Trade segment trades energy in the regulated environment and in the free hiring environment registered in CCEE. The Solar Plants segment sells electricity generated to the free contracting environment through bilateral and merchant contracts. The Holdings and Others segment is comprised of the intermediate holding Eneva Participacoes S.A., besides companies held for the development of projects. The company was founded on April 25, 2001 and is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
