Force Index with ATR channels-----------------------------------------------------------------
General Description:
This indicator multiplies the change of closing price for any bar by volume during that bar and plots an exponential moving average of the result. It is excellent for analyzing volume, deeper than simply looking at volume bars.
The cool thing about this particular version of the Force Index is that Average True Range (ATR) channels have been added to turn it into an excellent tool for identifying intermediate tops and bottoms. Force Index with ATR channels does not catch all turns, but the ones it identifies deserve very serious attention.
The indicator works on any market, any instrument, any timeframe, and any market condition.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
How it works:
Calculation:
Force Index = {Close (current period) - Close (prior period)} x Volume (current period)
If we smooth the indicator with a moving average the indicator gives much better trading signals.
Force Index(smoothed) = X-period EMA of Force Index
Changing the EMA length changes the focus of Force Index. Longer-term 13-bar EMA of Force Index helps identify intermediate trend reversals. Shorter-term 2-bar EMA helps identify market extremes.
The indicator also has the option to plot ATR channels to Force Index. Whenever the Force Index rises above or falls below its 3-ATR channel, it signals that the ticker has reached an area of an unsustainable extreme. That’s where rallies and declines become exhausted and prices tend to reverse. This is one of very few tools that are equally efficient in calling both top and bottom areas. This indicator places a red dot above the plot when the EMA of Force Index rises above the 3-ATR channel. It places a green dot underneath the plot when that EMA declines below the 3-ATR channel.
These signals work especially well on higher timeframes, weekly charts for example. Of course, you are welcome to experiment with them in any timeframe.

* EMA Period of Force Index
* EMA Period for ATR calculations
* Plot ATRs?

Volume
REVE Cohorts - Range Extension Volume Expansion CohortsREVE Cohorts stands for Range Extensions Volume Expansions Cohorts.
Volume is divided in four cohorts, these are depicted in the middle band with colors and histogram spikes.
0-80 percent i.e. low volumes; these get a green color and a narrow histogram bar
80-120 percent, normal volumes, these get a blue color and a narrow histogram bar
120-200 percent, high volume, these get an orange color and a wide histogram bar
200 and more percent is extreme volume, maroon color and wide bar.
All histogram bars have the same length. They point to the exact candle where the volume occurs.
Range is divided in two cohorts, these are depicted as candles above and below the middle band.
0-120 percent: small and normal range, depicted as single size, square candles
120 percent and more, wide range depicted as double size, rectangular candles.
The range candles are placed and colored according to the Advanced Price Algorithm (published script). If the trend is up, the candles are in the uptrend area, which is above the volume band, , downtrend candles below in the downtrend area. Dark blue candles depict a price movement which confirms the uptrend, these are of course in the uptrend area. In this area are also light red candles with a blue border, these depict a faltering price movement countering the uptrend. In the downtrend area, which is below the volume band, are red candles which depict a price movement confirming the downtrend and light blue candles with a red border depicting price movement countering the downtrend. A trend in the Advanced Price Algorithm is in equal to the direction of a simple moving average with the same lookback. The indicator has the same lagging.as this SMA.
Signals are placed in the vacated spaces, e.g. during an uptrend the downtrend area is vacated.
There are six signals, which arise as follows:
1 Two blue triangles up on top of each other: high or extreme volume in combination with wide range confirming uptrend. This indicates strong and effective up pressure in uptrend
2 Two pink tringles down on top of each other: high or extreme volume in combination with wide range down confirming downtrend. This indicates strong and effective down pressure in downtrend
3 Blue square above pink down triangle down: extreme volume in combination with wide range countering uptrend. This indicates a change of heart, down trend is imminent, e.g. during a reversal pattern. Down Pressure in uptrend
4 Pink square below blue triangle up: extreme volume in combination with wide range countering downtrend. This indicates a change of heart, reversal to uptrend is imminent. Up Pressure in downtrend
5 single blue square: a. extreme volume in combination with small range confirming uptrend, b. extreme volume in combination with small range countering downtrend, c. high volume in combination with wide range countering uptrend. This indicates halting upward price movement, occurs often at tops or during distribution periods. Unresolved pressure in uptrend
6 Single pink square: a extreme volume in combination with small range confirming downtrend, b extreme volume in combination with small range countering uptrend, c high volume in combination with wide range countering downtrend. This indicated halting downward price movement. Occurs often at bottoms or during accumulation periods. Unresolved pressure in downtrend.
The signals 5 and 6 are introduced to prevent flipping of signals into their opposite when the lookback is changed. Now signals may only change from unresolved in directional or vice versa. Signals 3 and 4 were introduced to make sure that all occurrences of extreme volume will result in a signal. Occurrences of wide volume only partly lead to a signal.
Use of REVE Cohorts.
This is the indicator for volume-range analyses that I always wanted to have. Now that I managed to create it, I put it in all my charts, it is often the first part I look at, In my momentum investment system I use it primarily in the layout for following open positions. It helps me a lot to decide whether to close or hold a position. The advantage over my previous attempts to create a REVE indicator (published scripts), is that this version is concise because it reports and classifies all possible volumes and ranges, you see periods of drying out of volume, sequences of falter candles, occurrences of high morning volume, warning and confirming signals.. The assessment by script whether some volume should be considered low, normal, high or extreme gives an edge over using the standard volume bars.
Settings of REVE Cohorts
The default setting for lookback is ‘script sets lookback’ I put this in my indicators because I want them harmonized, the script sets lookback according to timeframe. The tooltip informs which lookback will be set at which timeframe, you can enable a feedback label to show the current lookback. If you switch ‘script sets lookback’ off, you can set your own preferred user lookback. The script self-adapts its settings in such a way that it will show up from the very first bar of historical chart data, it adds volume starting at the fourth bar.
You can switch off volume cohorts, only range candles will show while the middle band disappears. Signals will remain if volume is present in the data. Some Instruments have no volume data, e.g. SPX-S&P 500 Index,, then only range candles will be shown.
Colors can be adapted in the inputs. Because the script calculates matching colors with more transparency it is advised to use 100 percent opacity in these settings.

Liquidity Sentiment Profile [LuxAlgo]The Liquidity Sentiment Profile is an advanced charting tool that measures by combining PRICE and VOLUME data over specified anchored periods and highlights within a sequence of profiles the distribution of the liquidity and the market sentiment at specific price levels.
The Liquidity Sentiment Profile allows traders to reveal significant price levels, dominant market sentiment, support and resistance levels, supply and demand zones, liquidity availability levels, liquidity gaps, consolidation zones, and more based on price and volume data.
Liquidity refers to the availability of orders at specific price levels in the market, allowing transactions to occur smoothly.
🔶 USAGE
A Liquidity Sentiment Profile is a combination of a liquidity and a sentiment profile, where the right part of the profile displays the distribution of the traded activity at different price levels and the left part displays the market sentiment at those price levels.
The Liquidity Sentiment Profiles are visualized with different colors, where each color has a different meaning.
The Liquidity Sentiment Profiles aim to present Value Areas based on the significance of price levels, thus allowing users to identify value areas that can be formed more than once within the range of a single profile.
Level of Significance Line - displays the changes in the price levels with the highest traded activity (developing POC)
🔶 SETTINGS
The script takes into account user-defined parameters and plots the profiles, where detailed usage for each user-defined input parameter in indicator settings is provided with the related input's tooltip.

Understanding FXCM Commissions and Setting Realistic Slippage for EUR/USD Spot Trading:
◉I would like to provide some clarity on the commission structure and slippage setting used in the study for trading the EUR/USD pair on the FXCM spot market. Based on the information available, FXCM charges a commission of $4.00 per standard lot (100,000) on both sides of the trade (meaning at open and close) for the EUR/USD pair. Since the study involve an order size of $2,000 USD, which is equivalent to 0.02 lots, the commission fee for one side of the trade (either buying or selling) would be calculated as $4.00 multiplied by 0.02, which is $0.08. This means that for each individual trade, whether it be a buy or sell, the commission fee would be $0.08.
◉As for slippage, it is crucial to account for the inherent uncertainty in the execution price due to market fluctuations. In the forex market, the EUR/USD pair is quoted with a precision of five decimal places, with the smallest price change being a "pipette" (0.00001). Given that slippage can vary based on market conditions, it is considered fair practice to use a slippage of around 10 ticks under normal market conditions for the EUR/USD pair. This allows for a more realistic representation of the execution price, especially in a liquid and fast-moving market such as forex.

Enter a Trade conditions:
For our buy order, we utilize a custom buy signal called 'Bullish Reversal'. A detailed explanation of this and other buy orders can be found later in the guide, specifically in section 1).
To enhance realism in our trading strategy, we have implemented a confirmation mechanism. When utilizing the strategy tester, you have the option to input a value to determine the number of confirmation candles to consider.
For example, if you set the input to 1, the system will check if the next candle following the signal meets the criteria for confirmation. If set to 2, the system will evaluate the second candle, and so on for higher values. The confirmation is determined by comparing the closing or opening price of the selected buy signal candle with the corresponding closing price of the confirmation candle.
In this case we choose as buy signal: 'Bullish Reversal' + 2 candle of confirmation
Exit a trade conditions:
On the sell side, we exit a trade in four different types of sell orders where we take profits. Inside '', you will encounter unique labels attributed to our custom sell signals. A detailed explanation of these sell orders can be found later in the guide, specifically in section 1). We used custom order called:
1TP 'Good Sell'
2TP 'Good Sell'
3TP 'Good Sell'
4TP 'Bearish Reversal' + 4 confirmation candles
Our confirmation logic, for sell signals, is applied only to 'Bearish Reversal' signal. The confirmation is determined by comparing the closing or opening price of the selected 'Bearish Reversal' candle with the corresponding closing price of the confirmation candle. In this case, we wait for the fourth candle from the 'Bearish Reversal' signal to confirm the sell trade.
Protect your capital:
This super-conservative study involves a clear low risk, with the use of $2,000, 20% of our capital. If the stop loss of 0.5% were triggered, we lose 10$, equating to 0.10% of $10,000 - thus affecting only 0.10% of our capital.
Super Conservative Approach & Results:
With 353 closed trades, we achieved a net profit of 2.03%, or $203.34$ relative to our initial $10,000 capital, and a win rate of 73.37%.
Less Conservative Approach & Results:
We could also consider increasing our risk to 0.5% of our capital per trade. We would maintain our stop loss at 0.50%, but we would need to use all our capital to enter the market. If the stop loss of 0.5% will be triggered, we would lose 50$, equating to 0.5% of $10,000.
In this scenario, our net profit would have increased to 10.15%, equivalent to $1015.
Please be aware:
While fully automated strategies can bring considerable advantages, they are not without their cons. For one, relying solely on an automated system may not take into account the potential confluence of other strategies or indicators, such as the significance of support and resistance zones. These elements often require a more nuanced, human understanding of the markets and cannot always be perfectly replicated by an algorithm.
Additionally, it's essential to remember that a significant percentage of traders are not consistently profitable. As such, prudent risk management, a conservative approach, and acceptance of a reasonable profit are crucial aspects of successful trading. While the allure of high returns can be tempting, the sustainability of your trading strategy should always take precedence. Achieving steady, reliable profits over time often outweighs the appeal of a risky, high-return strategy that could potentially lead to substantial losses.
So, while automation can be a powerful tool in your trading arsenal, it's also important to consider other strategies and factors. Always ensure you're managing your risk effectively and approaching trading with a realistic and informed perspective.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why Easy Trade Pro is Original? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We developed Easy Trade Pro as a unique and comprehensive solution, and we decided to protect our code to preserve its originality. We invested significant time and effort into making it a realistic trading strategy simulator. The standout features that set Easy Trade Pro apart include:
☀ Versatile Stop Loss Mechanisms: Stop loss execution can be complex and often requires careful coding to work as intended. In most freely available open-source codes, stop losses are implemented using the Average True Range (ATR). ATR can be beneficial but has limitations:
☁ Lagging Indicator - Like most technical indicators, the ATR is a lagging indicator. This means it is based on past data, and so it may not accurately reflect future market volatility. If market conditions change rapidly, the ATR may not adjust quickly enough, potentially leading to suboptimal stop loss levels.
☁ No Directional Information - The ATR measures volatility, but it does not provide any indication of the direction of the trend. Therefore, it should not be used as a standalone tool for making trading decisions, but should be used in conjunction with other technical analysis tools that can provide directional cues.
☁ Inefficiency in Trending Markets - In strongly trending markets, ATR-based stops can sometimes be too far from the current price level. This could lead to larger losses if the price moves against your trade before hitting the stop loss. On the flip side, in less volatile, sideways markets, an ATR-based stop might be set too close to the entry point, leading to premature stop outs.
☁ Overoptimization Risk - If you're backtesting a trading strategy, there's a risk of overoptimizing your stop loss settings by fine-tuning them to past data. The best ATR multiplier that worked in the past might not necessarily work in the future, leading to potential performance issues.
☀ We countered these by implementing four different types of 'protect the trade' mechanisms:
✔ Fixed Percentage Stop Loss
✔ Trailing Stop Loss
✔ Stop Loss Moved to Entry Upon Reaching Certain Gain
✔ Stop Loss Moved to Entry Upon Reaching First Take Profit Order ("Custom Order").
☀ Dual Exit Strategy: We incorporated two distinct methods of exiting a trade. The first uses our custom signals, while the second triggers exit at a certain percentage of gain.
☀ Multiple Take Profit Orders: You have the flexibility to establish up to four different sell orders. This feature enables you to fractionate your exit strategy according to your needs. You can choose to trigger these fractions based on our custom signals or determine your own exit points by setting targeted gains at a fixed percentage.
☀ Confirmation Candle System: This feature enhances trade precision by requiring confirmation candles after a buy or sell signal. This confirmation, dependent on the next candle's closing price, helps reduce false signals and improves entry and exit points. While our confirmation system is applicable to all custom buy signals, it's solely dedicated for the bearish reversal when it comes to sell signals.
☀ Universal Compatibility: Easy Trade Pro's Strategy Tester works perfectly with any asset class. The code can handle different contract types, including the SPX contracts and fractional assets like Bitcoin. It's optimized to ensure proper execution of trades without rounding issues.
☀ Bullish and Bearish Reversal candles: Our method of detecting these pivotal candles combines conditions from buy and sell signals with pertinent divergences in Price, RSI, and Volume (OBV). The distinguishing factor, however, lies in recognizing significant shifts in market structure and liquidity grabs. To further enhance the credibility of our indicator, we've incorporated Bollinger Bands, serving as an additional layer in spotting potential trend reversals, particularly when aligned with long-wick candlesticks, engulfing patterns, and morning or evening star formations.
☀ Non-Repainting Indicator: Our indicator signals are designed not to repaint. Once a signal appears, it stays fixed, offering a reliable tool for your trading decisions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) BUY AND SELL SIGNALS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our buy and sell signals are generated using a custom combination of RSI, MFI, and Stochastic RSI levels, as well as relevant MACD and Stochastic RSI crosses. These indicators are carefully analyzed to identify potential trading opportunities and determine optimal entry and exit points for trades.
RSI (Relative strength index) measures the strength of a security's price action, while the SRSI (Stochastic Relative Strength Index) is a momentum oscillator that measures the current price relative to its high and low range over a set period. The Money Flow Index (MFI) is another momentum indicator that uses both price and volume data to measure buying and selling pressure. MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) is a popular technical indicator used in financial markets to analyze price trends and momentum.
▶ With our system, you'll be able to identify three different levels of buy signals:
◉ The first level of buy signal is represented by a 🐂 emoji and is a "Good Buy". This signal indicates a possible buying opportunity. It indicates that could be a good opportunity to enter in a long trade. It's important to note that, the "Good Buy" signal can sometimes be supplemented with a green "Bull" text and a flag plotshape positioned beneath the signal. In these scenarios, we categorize this as a "Good Buy Bull" signal.
◉ The second level of buy signal is represented by a 💰 emoji and is a "Great Buy". This signal indicates a stronger buying opportunity than the "Good Buy" signal.
◉ The third and strongest buy signal is represented by a 💎 emoji and is an "Incredible Buy". This signal indicates a stronger buying opportunity than the "Good Buy" and "Great Buy" signals
▶ With our system, you'll be able to identify three different levels of sell signals:
◉ On the sell side, the first level is represented by a 🐻 emoji and is a "Good Sell". This signal indicates a possible selling opportunity. It indicates that could be a good opportunity to exit a trade or open a short position. It's important to note that, the "Good Sell" signal can occasionally be accompanied by a red "Bear" text and a flag plotshape positioned beneath the signal. In such instances, we refer to this as a "Good Sell Bear" signal.
◉ The second sell signal is represented by a 🔨 emoji and is a "Great Sell". This signal indicates a stronger selling opportunity than the "Good Sell" signal.
◉ The third and strongest sell signal is represented by a 💀 emoji and is an "Incredible Sell". This signal indicates a stronger selling opportunity than the "Good Sell" and "Great Sell" signals.
------------------------------------------2) "BULLISH AND BEARISH REVERSAL CANDLES PLUS SUPPORT AND RESISTANCE LINES" ------------------------------------------------
Bullish and bearish reversal candles are specific candles that have more probability to reverse the trend.
Our trading indicator is designed to identify bullish and bearish reversal candles. Our method of detecting these pivotal candles combines conditions from buy and sell signals with pertinent divergences in Price, RSI, and Volume (OBV).
These candles are represented by blue and orange colors respectively by default. Additionally, the indicator also uses lines that are drawn at either the opening or closing of candles to help identify pivot points of support or resistance. These candles, lines color or shape are customizable in the settings menu.
How can I benefit the most from bullish reversal candles? To make the most of bullish reversal candles, a powerful strategy is:
E.g, 1D chart - Wait for the next 1 or 2 candles to close above the support line linked to the bullish reversal candle. For lower timeframes, it is recommended to wait for 2 or 3 candles before making a trading decision. A good tip is also to look for other signals (confluence), like a buy signal. Traders should decide based on their risk tolerance.
Here below we can see an example of a bullish reversal candle in the BTC/USDT, 1D, chart. The system identify a bullish reversal candle (blue color), the next 2 candles are green and closed above the support blue line, in addition we have other bullish signals (confluence).
How can I benefit the most from bullish reversal lines? Bullish reversal lines can help traders to identify key level of support and maintain control of their position until a clear break below occurs.
In the example below we se how the price retrace to the support line:
After touching the price bounce up.
How can I benefit the most from bearish reversal candles? To make the most of bearish reversal candles, a powerful strategy is:
E.g, 1D chart - Wait for the next 1 or 2 candles to close below the resistance line linked to the bearish reversal candle. For lower timeframes, it is recommended to wait for 2 or 3 candles before making a trading decision. Traders should decide based on their risk tolerance.
Here below we can see an example of a bearish reversal candle in the ETH/USDT, 1D, chart. The system identify a bearish reversal candle (orange color), the next candle is red and closes below the resistance orange line. A good tip is also to look for other signals (confluence), like a sell signal.
How can I benefit the most from bearish reversal lines? Bearish reversal lines can help traders to identify key level of resistance and maintain control of their position until a clear break above occurs.
In the example below we se how the price bounce back to the resistance line and get rejected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) BULL AND BEAR MOMENTUM SIGNALS -----------------------------------------------------------------------
We analyzed factors such as buy or sell signals, long or short confirmation signals, DMI crossup or crossdown and breaks of market structure (BOS) or change of character (CHoCh) to determine the strength and direction of the trend. These study give us bull trend or bear trend signals that can help traders identify potential trading opportunities and make informed decisions.
These conditions are represented by a green word "BULL" and a flag shape below (bull momentum) and by a red word "BEAR" and a flag shape above (bear momentum) respectively by default. These plots shapes are customizable in the settings menu.
How can I benefit the most from bull momentum signals? To make the most of bull momentum signals, a powerful strategy is:
E.g, 1D chart - Look for confluence. If bull signal comes with a "Good Buy 🐂" in the same candle the signal is more strong. Another good combo is to look for a bullish reversal candle prior or after this signal, usually within a range of 1/2 candles. For lower timeframes, it is recommended to wait 2/3 candles before making a trading decision.
In the picture below we can see an example of a bull momentum signal in the US500, 1D, chart.
How can I benefit the most from bear momentum signals? To make the most of bear momentum signals, a powerful strategy is:
E.g, 1D chart - Look for confluence. If bear signal comes with a "Good Sell 🐻" in the same candle the signal is more strong. Another good combo is to look for a bearish reversal candle prior or after this signal, usually within a range of 1/2 candles. For lower timeframes, it is recommended to wait 2/3 candles before making a trading decision.
In the picture below we can see an example of a bear momentum signal in combo with a sell signal, NETFLIX, 1D, chart.
-------------------------------------------------------------- 4) "COLOR BARS THAT INDICATE THE STRENGTH OF THE TREND -----------------------------------------------------
This code is responsible for changing the color of the bars on a chart based on certain conditions. The gradient colors are defined for green and red, and the algorithm checks if the current bar is within a certain range of either a bearish reversal or bullish reversal candle and whether the price is above or below certain exponential moving averages or if important break of market structure occurs.
Ultimately, this feature helps traders visually identify potential trends and market shifts and avoid getting distracted by price fluctuations. Please note that every gradient of color can be customize by the user. We set 3 different bullish colors and 3 different bearish colors.
Below the picture of the settings menu related to the bar color.
----------------------------------------------------------------------5)THREE CUSTOMIZABLE MOVING AVERAGES ----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can choose up to three moving averages, any length and any type like SMA, EMA, WMA, HMA, RMA, SWMA and VWMA. Furthermore, you have the freedom to adjust the color and width of the lines to your preference.
Below the picture of the settings menu related to the moving averages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------6) ALERTS DIRECT TO YOUR EMAIL OR PHONE --------------------------------------------------------------------
Our alert feature sends real-time notifications directly to your email or phone when a signal is generated, allowing you to take immediate action and stay ahead of the market.
With our system, you first establish your own rules for trading in the strategy tester - this includes your criteria for entering and exiting trades.
Once you've defined these conditions, our system will start sending you alerts. These alerts will be triggered whenever your specified conditions are met. So, if the market matches your 'enter trade' conditions, you'll receive an alert prompting. Similarly, when your 'exit trade' conditions are met, you'll receive another alert.

Decide on the capital you wish to invest. Choose whether to use contracts or USD and determine the size of your orders. For the sake of realism, we recommend not exceeding 25% of your capital per order. However, if you decide to utilize your entire capital, make sure to adjust your stop loss accordingly. For instance, if you have a capital of 10K and use 10K with a stop loss at 2%, your potential loss would be $200. Conversely, if you use only 2K of your 10K capital with a stop loss at 10%, you would still lose the same 2% of your capital. To make your simulation even more authentic, consider incorporating broker fees or commissions into your calculations. For example, spot market fees are typically around 0.10%. If you're backtesting markets with low liquidity, consider factoring in slippage as well.
Step 2:
Navigate to the 'Inputs' section and scroll down until you come across 'Backtesting System - Strategy Test'. Once you locate this, click on the box and activate the 'USE STRATEGY SYSTEM' option by checking the tick box.
Also You will then need to set a 'Start Date' and 'End Date', establishing a specific time period during which you wish to test your strategy.
Otherwise you can consider to use the deep backtesting feature.
Step 3:
It's now time to establish the conditions for entering a trade. You can choose from five different types of custom buy signals: Good Buy, Good Buy Bull, Great Buy, Incredible Buy, and Bullish Reversal. Note that 'Great Buy' and 'Incredible Buy' are rare signals, so we advise against using them frequently in mechanical strategy tests; instead, consider them more for manual live tests. For more consistent results, we recommend using the other buy signals.
After determining your preferred buy signal, you can choose how many confirmation candles you wish to wait for before entering a trade. A 'confirmation' means that if the next candle closes above the opening or closing price of the chosen buy signal, it's considered a confirmation. This could be the opening or closing price, depending on whether the candle is green (close > open) or red.
You can set the number of confirmation candles in different time frames: below 2h, between 2h and 10h, and above 10h.
Step 4:
It's now time to safeguard your trade by managing risk. You can choose to implement a stop loss, expressed in percentage terms, or opt for a trailing stop. A trailing stop is a type of stop loss order that moves with the market price. It is designed to protect gains by enabling a trade to remain open and continue to profit as long as the market price is moving in a favorable direction. However, the trade closes if the market price changes direction by a specified amount (the 'trailing stop distance').
Additionally, you can minimize losses and move the stop loss to your entry point once the price reaches a certain percentage of profit. This strategy can help secure potential gains while limiting the potential for losses.
Step 5:
Now it's time to set the conditions for exiting the trade. You have the option to divide your exit into a maximum of four parts, with each part representing 25% of the position size. For each take profit point, you can choose from three different custom sell signals: Good Sell, Good Sell Bear, and Bearish Reversal.
Similarly, the concept of confirmation candles also applies here, but in this case, the candles are not closing above. A 'confirmation' for a sell signal means that if the next candle closes below the opening or closing price of the selected sell signal, it's considered a confirmation. This could be the opening or closing price, depending on whether the candle is green (open > close) or red (close < open).
So, when you're looking to sell, a confirmation would occur if the next candlestick's closing price is lower than the opening or closing price of the candlestick that triggered the sell signal. This indicates a potential bearish trend, providing the confirmation to execute the sell order.
Additionally, we've introduced a feature that allows you to move your stop loss to the entry point whenever the first take profit (1TP) is reached, which equates to hitting one custom sell signal.
Step 6:
We've also designed an alternative method for taking profits. With this approach, you can choose to exit your position once a fixed percentage gain from the entry point is reached. For instance, you might decide to exit when a 10% profit is achieved. Similarly to the previous method, this approach allows you to choose up to four exit points and determine the proportion of your position you want to close at each stage.
Conclusion:
Easy Trade Pro provides users with various options for entering and exiting trades. To effectively utilize the indicator, we strongly recommend conducting thorough backtesting and considering the results across your preferred trading pairs. It is advisable to analyze a substantial number of trades, ideally exceeding 100 trades, to obtain reliable insights into the indicator's performance. This approach will help you gain a better understanding of how Easy Trade Pro aligns with your trading strategy and objectives.

VWAP angle TrendThe VWAP Angle Trend is an indicator built with the aim of providing valuable insights into the reversal points of the #VWAP using Angle
This is achieved by calculating the angle between the current VWAP and its previous value over a customizable lookback period and normalizing it with ATR
By analyzing the angle, we can gain an understanding of the strength and direction of the VWAP, which can help them identify potential trend reversals or continuations.
After observing the market over a lengthy period, I have come to realize that as the angle increases above 65 or decreases under -65 , it confirms a higher likelihood of a trend reversal.
the indicator highlights these zones where a trend reversal is more likely to occur.
The indicator can help you to assess the strength and direction of VWAP, enabling you to make more informed trading decisions.
By identifying periods of strong momentum or potential exhaustion, you can seek opportunities for entering or exiting positions, and potentially capitalize on trend movements in the market.
OSPL Volume [Community Edition]NSE:BANKNIFTY1!
This indicator is based on the concepts popularized by @OptionsScalper123 "Siva" of OiPulse. His ideology Is that large moves come after high volume candles. For Nifty, high volume is considered to be a candle above 125k volume and for BankNifty it’s 50k.
This indicator allows you to cut the noise and focus only on the high volume candle. It shows high volume candle in a brighter shade and lower volume candles in a less visible shade.
You can set the minimum volume threshold limit for Nifty and BankNifty. The indicator smartly recognizes which index you are using it in and uses the respective threshold volume limit.
All colors are customizable.
Thanks for Siva for all the ideas and wonderful products he has given to the community
Thanks to all the wonderful Pinescipters for developing awesome indicators and keeping the source open.
The source code of this indicator is just a few lines. Hope you can use it in your projects and learn something from this just how I learned from other scripts.
Any changes or updates needed in this indicator, please suggest. I was thinking some kind of alerts can be added when volume crosses the threshold. Let me know.
Boost/like this indicator and comment if you find this useful. Cheers and happy trading!!!
Volume-Weighted Supertrend Strategy [wbburgin]This is a script that can be used as a strategy or a standalone indicator.
The Volume-Weighted Supertrend is a supertrend based on a rolling VWAP, instead of a normal price source. The strategy has two components - a supertrend based off of this VWAP (shown on the chart) and a supertrend from volume itself (not plotted on the chart directly). The supertrend from volume is an example of my "Supertrend Any Source" indicator, where a custom ATR is created from non-OHLC data; this is available as both a separate public script and also in my "wbburgin_utils" library for you to use in your own script creation.
The supertrend from volume acts as a confirmation filter for the VWAP-supertrend shown on-chart. If the volume supertrend is trending up and the VWAP-based supertrend is also trending up, a buy signal is generated. Likewise, if the volume supertrend is trending down and the VWAP-supertrend is trending down, a sell signal is generated. The colors are based off of whether both supertrends are trending up or down: green for both up, blue for only price up, orange for only price down, and red for both down.
The settings enable you to change the volume length and the ATR length separately, as well as the multiplier and the source for the price supertrend. If you load the indicator for the first time and see no entries and exits, this is because "Show Strategy Entries and Exits" is disabled in the settings. This is if you plan on using the strategy as an indicator and don't want to be bothered by the entry and exit symbols on the chart. Additionally, for those who like clean charts (like me), you can turn all the labels off in the settings, as well as the highlighting.
My default strategy settings for the strategy results shown below are as follows: 5% equity per trade, 5 degrees of pyramiding, commissions of 0.08% per trade. This strategy doesn't come with stops yet, so please be aware of that before using it to trade - I highly suggest you create your own stops based off of your R/R ratio and personal risk tolerance. Additionally, it works best on trending assets (b/c of the supertrends) with high volume. This might mean it does not work as well on lower timeframes.

MTF Evolving Weighted Composite Value Area🧾 Description:
This indicator calculates evolving value areas across 3 different timeframes/periods and combines them into one composite, multi-timeframe evolving value area - with each of the underlying timeframes' VAs assigned their own weighting/importance in the final calculation. Layered with extra smoothing options, this creates an informative and useful 'rolling value area' effect that can give you a better perspective on the value area across multiple periods at once as it develops - without total calculation resets at the onset of every new period.
Let's start with a simplified primer on value areas and then jump in to the new ideas this indicator introduces.
🤔 What is a value area?
Value areas are a tool used in market profile analysis to determine the range of prices that represents where most trading activity occurred during a specific time period, typically within a single 'bar' of a certain higher timeframe, such as the 4-hour, daily, or weekly. It helps traders understand the levels where the market finds value.
To calculate the value area, we look at the distribution of prices and trading volume. We determine a percentage, usually 70% or 80%, that represents the significant portion of trading volume. Then, we identify the price range that contains this percentage of trading volume, which becomes the value area.
Value areas are useful because they provide insights into market dynamics and potential support and resistance levels. They show where traders have been most active and where they find value, and traders can use this information to make better-informed decisions.
For example, if price is trading within the value area, it suggests that it's within a range where traders see value and are actively participating, which could indicate a balanced market. If the price moves above or below the value area, it may signal a potential shift in market sentiment or a breakout/breakdown from the established range.
By understanding the value area, traders can identify potential areas of supply and demand, determine levels of interest for buyers and sellers, and make decisions based on the market's perception of value.
📑 Limitations of traditional value areas
Static representation: Value areas are usually represented as static zones calculated after the fact. For example, after a daily period is completed, a typical 1D VA indicator will display the value area for the past period with static horizontal lines. This approach doesn't give you the power to see how the value area evolved, or developed, during the time period, as it is only displayed retroactively. It also doesn't give you the ability to view it as it evolves in real-time. This is why we chose to use an evolving value area representation, specifically borrowed from @sourcey's Value Area POC/VAH/VAL script function for calculating evolving VAs.
Rollover resets - no memory of past periods!: The traditional value area is calculated over a static period - it is calculated from the beginning of the period, for example a 1 day period, to the end, and that's the end of it. When the next daily period begins, the calculation resets, and has no memory of the preceding period. This limits the usefulness of the value area visual when viewed near the beginning of a new period before price and volume have been given ample time to define an area.
Hard to absorb all of that information: Value areas aren't generally meant to be a hardline representation of something extremely exact - they're based on a percentage of the area where traders appeared to find value over a certain time period. Most traders use them as a guide for support and resistance levels or finding an expected range. Traders typically overlay multiple VAs - sometimes requiring several instances of the same indicator to be applied - to represent the VA across multiple timeframes such as the 4H, 1D, or 1W. The chart quickly gets cluttered and it's not necessarily easy to understand the relationship between these multiple periods' VAs at a glance.
🧪 New concepts introduced in this indicator
With the evolving weighted composite value area we tried to address these limitations, and we think the result can be useful and intuitive for traders who want more dynamic and practical VAs for their everyday technical analysis.
⚖️ 1. A composite, weighted multi-timeframe VA
This indicator's value areas represent a combination or composite of the value areas calculated across multiple timeframes. The VAs calculated across each timeframe are then given a weighting percentage, which determines their contribution to the final 'weighted composite value area'.
Pictured below: a 4H/1D/1W MTF evolving weighted composite VA on the BTCUSDT Perpetual Futures (Binance) 5 minute chart:
Traditionally, when traders wanted to get a view of where the majority of trading activity occurred over the past four hours, day, and week, they would need to apply three value area indicators (or sometimes one if it allows multiple custom timeframes), each set to a different period (4H, 1D, 1W). The chart gets cluttered quickly and the information is hard to absorb in one shot. Addressing this problem was the main impetus for creating this weighted composite process.
〰️ 2. Rolling and smoothed evolving VAs
Because the composite VA is calculated based on multiple period VAs, there is no one single point where the area calculation resets (unless all 3 selected timeframes happen to rollover on the same bar). This creates a 'rolling' effect that gives a sense of the progression of the VA as price transitions through the different underlying time periods, without the traditional 'jump' in calculations between periods.
Pictured below: a 1D/1W/1M MTF evolving weighted composite VA on the NQ futures 1H chart:
To help give even more of a sense of perspective and 'progression' of the VA, there are also smoothing options to even out the 'jumps' at period-rollover points.
✔️ What's it good for?
Smoothed, rolling, and evolving multi-timeframe VAs that give you a better real-time perspective of where traders are finding value across multiple time periods at once.

⚙️ Settings:
Calculation Decimal Resolution: This setting essentially determines how 'granular' the value area calculating process is. This value should be set to some multiple of the tick size/smallest decimal of the symbol's price chart. Eg. On BTCUSDT, the tick size/decimal is usually 0.1. So, you might use 0.5. On TSLA, the tick size is 0.01. You might use 0.05 or 0.25. Beware: if the resolution is too small, calculation will take too long and the script may timeout.
Show Me Suggested Resolutions: If enabled, a label will display in the bottom right of the chart with some suggested resolutions for the current chart.
Area Percentage: Set the displayed percentage of the calculated composite value area. Igor method = 70%; Daniel method: 68%.
Use a Color Theme: When this setting is enabled, all manual 'Bullish and Bearish Colors' are overridden. All plots will use the colors from your selected Color Theme - excepting those plots set to use the 'Single Color' coloring method.
Color Theme: When 'Use a Color Theme' is enabled, this setting allows you to select the color theme you wish to use.
Resistance Color: When 'Use a Color Theme' is disabled, this will set the 'resistance color' for the composite VA.
Support Color: When 'Use a Color Theme' is disabled, this will set the 'support color' for the composite VA.
Show Period Rollover Labels: When enabled, a label will show above or below the composite VA marking any underlying period rollovers with the label 'New __' (eg. 'New 4H', 'New 1D', 'New 1W').
Size: Sets the font size of the period rollover labels.
Show Period Rollover Lines: When enabled, a translucent vertical dashed line will be drawn across the composite VA when one of the underlying periods rolls over.
Fill Composite Value Area: When enabled, the composite VA will be filled with a gradient coloring from the support line to the resistance line using their respective colors.
Smooth: When enabled, a smoothing moving average will be applied to the composite value area.
Smoothing Period: Set the lookback period for the smoothing average.
Smoothing Type: Set the calculation type for the smoothing average. Options include: Exponential, Simple, Weighted, Volume-Weighted, and Hull.
Enable: Include/exclude a timeframe's VA in the composite VA calculation.
Timeframe: Set the timeframe for this specific underlying VA.
Weighting %: Set the weighting percentage or 'importance' of this timeframe's value area in calculating the composite VA. Beware! The sum of the weighting percentages across all enabled timeframes must ALWAYS add up to 100 in order for this indicator to work as designed.
Volume Z-Score [SuperJump]Hello Guys.
I'm very very happy to release a new indicator after a really long time
The reason I created this indicator is, we often forget the importance of volume.
Volume is a signal of the start of a strong trend, and a very good example of how long a trend can continue.
Why do we forget the importance of trading volume?
Right, because we use a timeframe that is too small,
Most of the time we trade, the candles are largely free of volatility and low in volume.
So if we forget to check volume sometimes, no problem.
But when trading on a big trend, we can't ignore it.
I hope this volume indicator made using Z-Score will help you.

People sometimes call us gamblers.
They even accuse us of being unnecessary for the things we study with passion.
But I believe, we can definitely find a good meaning.
Anchored VWAP+This indicator is an enhanced version of the Anchored VWAP indicator with additional functions:
1. Anchored AP (average price). It removes the volume weighting step in Anchored VWAP, and can display the average price over a period of time. For example, if the price of the stock in the last 3 days is 100, 200, 300, then AP is their average value of 200
2. Anchored AC (average cost). The average cost over time can be displayed. For example, if the price of the stock in the last 2 days is 100,300, then AC is (1+1)/(1/100+1/300)=150
When using the indicator, you need to choose a starting point, then the indicator will start to calculate the subsequent VWAP, AP and AC from this starting point, and draw 3 lines in the graph
These three lines can be regarded as the average cost line of the market, with potential support and resistance effects
We have filled the shadow between VWAP and AP, which can be regarded as a potential support resistance band
===========================中文版本===========================
该指标为增强版本的Anchored VWAP指标。在Anchored VWAP基础上增加了额外功能:
1. Anchored AP。其去掉了Anchored VWAP中成交量加权的步骤,可以显示一段时间的平均价格。举个例子,假如股票最近3天的价格为100,200,300,那么AP为他们的平均值200
2. Anchored AC。
Crypto Aggregated Volume «NoaTrader»If you use volume in your crypto analysis, you may have encountered the situation which an exchange's policy change can affect your judgement falsely. For example, you can see the huge difference of volume on the given chart since binance transferred its fee discount from USDT to TUSD pair.
This script sums up volume of all major centralized exchanges ( according to coinmarketcap ) on the symbol you are visiting and has an option to exclude Binance's volume which can give you a more stable understanding for judgement when needed (and you can see the difference on the chart).
The colors also give a good vision about the relative volume in the area which can show the interest of market in trading.
The script only aggregates the same symbol on different exchanges and does not get the volume from other pairs.
Included CEXs are:
binance
bitstamp
coinbase
huobi
kraken
bitfinex
bybit
okx
kucoin
bithumb
Anchored VWAP (Auto High & Low)OVERVIEW
This script plots, and auto-updates, 3 separate VWAPs: a traditional VWAP, a VWAP anchored to a trends high, and another anchored to a trends low.
VWAP and Anchored VWAPs are commonly used by institutions responsible for the majority of market volume on a given day. Citadel Trading, for example, accounts for approximately 35% of all U.S. listed retail volume , largely executed through program trades over the course of a day, week, or month.
Because VWAP is a prominent market maker tool for executing large trades, day traders can use it to better anticipate trends, mean reversion, and breakouts.
This is most useful on charts with intraday time frames (1 minute, 5 minute etc.) commonly used for day trading. This is not ideal for larger time frames (1 hour or greater) commonly used for swing trading or identifying larger trends.

New York, London and custom trading sessionsHi Traders
The script :
The Time sessions script plots the trading sessions of both New York and London markets (background fills), In addition to the above the script also plots a user defined trading session period (vertical lines). All plots may be toggled true or false inorder to ensure you can focus on the respective market / markets / custom session.
Market sessions are useful for technical or quantitative analysis, as the majority of trading activity and net daily volume occurs in these zones, in fact the U.S./London market overlap tends to have the greatest volume accumulation across that range of time / bars than that range at any other time within the daily session. For FX traders it may also be important to take into account for many currency pairs the average exchange rate pip movement is greatest within these zones.
The custom session, is intended to be used for traders who trade only within specific intervals within the market session or day for 24/7 traded asset classes
Additional notes :
Not as of now, I have only added three optional trading sessions. If you would like to change the sessions, copy the scripts code and change the "ctm_session" default time range value, insuring the second time value is 1 min > than the first.
As always i Hope this is a useful script, and I will be updating this script in the near future.
Volume Spike, Price Move >3% Spike with Vol & Gap Up IdentifierTitle: Identifying Volume Spikes, Price Movements and Gap Ups: A TradingView Script
Introduction:
In the world of trading, identifying volume spikes and price movements can provide valuable insights into market trends and potential trading opportunities. In this article, we'll explore a TradingView script that helps traders visualize volume spikes, price up moves with volume spikes, and gap-up days on their charts.
Detecting Price Up Moves:
The script starts by calculating price up moves. It compares the current day's closing price with the previous day's closing price and checks if it has increased by 3% or more. This helps traders spot significant upward price movements.
Detecting Volume Spurts:
Next, the script focuses on detecting volume spikes, which are often associated with increased market activity and potential trading opportunities. It compares the current day's volume with the highest volume of the previous nine sessions. If the current volume exceeds all the volumes of the previous nine sessions, it is considered a volume spurt.
Example:
Let's consider a hypothetical scenario where we have the following volume data for a stock:
Day 1: 100,000
Day 2: 80,000
Day 3: 120,000
Day 4: 150,000
Day 5: 200,000
Day 6: 90,000
Day 7: 110,000
Day 8: 130,000
Day 9: 140,000
Day 10: 250,000 (current day)
To determine if there is a volume spurt on Day 10, the script compares the current day's volume (250,000) with the highest volume of the previous nine sessions. In this case, the highest volume among the previous nine sessions is 200,000 (on Day 5). Since the current day's volume (250,000) exceeds the highest volume of the previous nine sessions (200,000), it is considered a volume spurt.
Identifying Gap-Up Days:
Gap-up days occur when the market opens significantly higher than the previous day's close. To identify these days, the script compares the current day's low price with the previous day's high price. If the low price is greater than the previous day's high, it is marked as a gap-up day.
Visualizing the Findings:
To provide a clear visual representation of the identified patterns, the script uses different shapes and colors. First, it plots small red dots above the candles whenever a volume spurt is detected. These dots help traders quickly identify periods of increased volume activity.
For price up moves with volume spikes, the script utilizes blue triangular shapes below the candles. This allows traders to pinpoint instances where both price and volume are showing positive signs, indicating potential bullish movements.
Additionally, the script incorporates green candles to represent gap-up days. These candles help traders recognize days when the market opens with a significant upward gap, suggesting a potential shift in market sentiment.
Conclusion:
The TradingView script discussed in this article provides traders with a visual representation of volume spikes , price up moves with volume spikes , and gap-up days . By incorporating these visual cues into their analysis, traders can gain valuable insights into market trends and potential trading opportunities.
Remember, this script should be used for educational and informational purposes only and does not serve as financial advice or recommendations. Traders are encouraged to customize and modify the script according to their specific trading strategies and risk tolerance.
Share this script with other traders on TradingView to enhance their chart analysis and trading decisions.
PS: This TradingView script is designed to work specifically on the daily timeframe (daily candles). It calculates and identifies volume spurts based on the volume data of the daily timeframe. Since it is designed for the daily timeframe, it may not produce accurate results or work as intended on other timeframes.
VOLD Ratio (Volume Difference Ratio) by TenozenAnother helpful indicator is here! VOLD Ratio is calculated by the net volume of a buying candle, divided by the net volume of a sell candle.
Formula:
buying net volume/selling net volume
It's a simple indicator, but don't underestimate this simplicity. It's a powerful indicator that would help you to decide whether the volume is getting interested in the direction that the market would take. So assume when the market is above the Bollinger Bands, it means that the volume is at a buying extreme, by that, we could expect the market to get back towards the mean, as there is a lot of buying demand that entered the market. How about below the Bollinger Bands? it means that the volume is at a selling extreme, we could expect that there is a lot of volume getting in toward the sellers, so we could take advantage of the opportunity to go for a long. Lastly, the Bollinger Bands would help you guys to determine the liquidity of the market, if the Bollinger Bands get smaller over time, it means there is no interest for the market to enter yet, and if the Bollinger Bands get bigger over time, it means there is interest for the market to enter in the session.
Tips & Reminder:
- We shouldn't use this indicator by itself, make sure to use an Indicator that would help you guys to determine the momentum and the liquidity of the market.
- The higher the timeframe, the slower this indicator would signal an entry, by that use a smaller timeframe... I suggest using a 15M chart for the execution.
- Always trade in the medium-longterm direction if you want to have a high probability trade.
- Be patient in your execution, it's more likely the market would go higher or lower after going in the extreme of the Bollinger Bands.
Well, that's it! Hope you guys enjoy using this indicator, let me know if there is any question or suggestion. Ciao...
Scalp Pump-Dump Detector with AlertsThis script displays the percentage of movement of all candles on the chart, as well as identifying abnormal movements to which you can attach alerts. An abnormal movement is considered a rise or fall that exceeds the parameter set in the settings (by default, 1% per 1 bar).
Added a function to display the volume on abnormal candlesticks.
Displacement (Two FVGs)A simple indicator that attempts to identify displacement in price by alerting you when two simultaneous Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) occur.
When two fair value gaps occur, the indicator will print a green bar (if bullish) or a red bar (if bearish). If you right click on the indicator you can turn on alerts that will pop up every time a dual FVG occurs.
Fair Value Gaps are most commonly used amongst price action traders and are defined as instances in which there are inefficiencies, or imbalances, in the market.
The concept for this indicator is very simple. Apply it to your chart and enable alerts on the instruments and timeframe you trade. When you get an alert, it could indicate larger players getting involved.
This is NOT a trading strategy. Its intention is to save time by alerting you to large imbalances in price on the instruments you trade.
RSI-MFI Machine Learning [ Manhattan distance ]The RSI-MFI Machine Learning Indicator is a technical analysis tool that combines the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Money Flow Index (MFI) indicators with the Manhattan distance metric.
It aims to provide insights into potential trade setups by leveraging machine learning principles and calculating distances between current and historical data points.
The indicator starts by calculating the RSI and MFI values based on the specified periods for each indicator.
The RSI measures the strength and speed of price movements, while the MFI evaluates the inflow and outflow of money in the market.
By combining these two indicators, the indicator captures both price momentum and money flow dynamics.
To apply machine learning principles , the indicator utilizes the Manhattan distance metric to quantify the similarity or dissimilarity between different data points.
The Manhattan distance is calculated by taking the absolute differences between corresponding RSI and MFI values of the current point and historical points.
Next, the indicator determines the nearest neighbors based on the calculated Manhattan distances.
The number of nearest neighbors is determined by the square root of the specified count of neighbors.
By identifying similar patterns and behaviors in the historical data, the indicator aims to uncover potential trade opportunities.
Trade signals are generated based on the calculated distances. The indicator compares each distance with the maximum distance encountered so far.
If a new maximum distance is found, it updates the value and considers the corresponding direction as a potential trade signal. The trade signals are stored in an array for further analysis.
Furthermore, the indicator considers the price action and a calculated regression line to differentiate between long and short trade signals.
Long trade signals are identified when the closing price is above the regression line, indicating a potentially bullish setup.
Short trade signals are identified when the closing price is below the regression line, indicating a potentially bearish setup.
The RSI-MFI Machine Learning Indicator visualizes the regression line on the price chart and labels the bars accordingly. It highlights the regression line with different colors based on the trade signals, making it easier for traders to identify potential entry or exit points.
Traders can use the RSI-MFI Machine Learning Indicator as a tool to analyze price movements, evaluate market conditions based on RSI and MFI, leverage machine learning concepts to find similar patterns, and make informed trading decisions.
Normalized Volume Rate of ChangeThis indicator is designed to help traders gauge changes in volume dynamics and identify potential shifts in buying or selling pressure. By normalizing the volume rate of change and comparing it to moving averages of itself, it offers valuable insights into market trends and can assist in making informed trading decisions.
Calculation:
The indicator calculates the Volume Rate of Change (VROC) by measuring the percentage change in volume over a specified length. This calculation provides a relative measure of how quickly the volume is increasing or decreasing. It then normalizes the VROC to a range of -1 to +1 by scaling it based on the highest and lowest values observed within the specified length. This normalization allows for easy comparison of the current VROC value with historical levels, enabling traders to assess the intensity of volume fluctuations.
Interpretation:
The main plot of the indicator displays the normalized VROC values as columns. The color of each column provides valuable information about the relationship between the VROC and the moving averages. Lime-colored columns indicate that the VROC is above both moving averages, suggesting increased buying pressure and potential bullish sentiment. Conversely, fuchsia-colored columns indicate that the VROC is below both moving averages, suggesting increased selling pressure and potential bearish sentiment. Yellow-colored columns indicate that the VROC is between the two moving averages, reflecting a period of consolidation or indecision in the market.
To further enhance interpretation, the indicator includes two moving averages. The Aqua line represents the faster moving average (MA1), and the Orange line represents the slower moving average (MA2). These moving averages provide additional context by smoothing out the VROC values and highlighting the overall trend. Traders can observe the interaction between the moving averages and the VROC to identify potential crossovers and assess the strength of trend reversals or continuations.
Colors:
-- Lime : The lime color is used to represent high volume rate of change above both moving averages. This color indicates a potentially bullish market sentiment, suggesting that buyers are dominant.
-- Fuchsia : The fuchsia color is used to represent low volume rate of change below both moving averages. This color indicates a potentially bearish market sentiment, suggesting that sellers are dominant.
-- Yellow : The yellow color is used to represent the volume rate of change between the two moving averages. This color reflects a transitional phase where neither buyers nor sellers have a clear advantage, signaling a period of consolidation or indecision in the market.
To provide additional visual cues for potential trade signals, the indicator includes lime-colored arrows below the price chart when there is a crossover upwards (MA1 crossing above MA2). This lime arrow indicates a potential bullish signal, suggesting a favorable time to consider long positions. Similarly, fuchsia-colored arrows are displayed above the price chart when there is a crossover downwards (MA1 crossing below MA2), signaling a potential bearish signal and suggesting a favorable time to consider short positions.
Applications:
This indicator offers various applications in trading strategies, including:
-- Trend Identification : By observing the relationship between the normalized VROC and the moving averages, traders can identify potential shifts in market trends. Lime-colored columns above both moving averages indicate a strong bullish trend, suggesting an opportunity to capitalize on upward price movements. Conversely, fuchsia-colored columns below both moving averages indicate a strong bearish trend, suggesting an opportunity to profit from downward price movements. Yellow-colored columns between the moving averages indicate a period of consolidation or uncertainty, signaling a potential trend reversal or continuation.
-- Confirmation of Price Moves : The indicator's ability to reflect volume dynamics in relation to the moving averages can help traders validate price moves. When significant price movements are accompanied by lime-colored columns (indicating high volume rate of change above both moving averages), it adds confirmation to the bullish sentiment. Similarly, fuchsia-colored columns accompanying downward price movements validate the bearish sentiment. This confirmation can enhance traders' confidence in the reliability of price moves.
-- Trade Timing : The indicator's moving average crossovers and the presence of arrows provide timing signals for trade entries and exits. Lime arrows appearing below the price chart signal potential long entry opportunities, indicating a bullish market sentiment. Conversely, fuchsia arrows appearing above the price chart suggest potential short entry opportunities, indicating a bearish market sentiment. These signals can be used in conjunction with other technical analysis tools to improve trade timing and increase the probability of successful trades.
Parameter Adjustments:
Traders can adjust the length of the VROC and the moving averages according to their trading preferences and timeframes. Longer VROC lengths provide a broader view of volume dynamics over an extended period, making it suitable for assessing long-term trends. Shorter VROC lengths offer a more sensitive measure of recent volume changes, making it suitable for shorter-term analysis. Similarly, adjusting the lengths of the moving averages can help adapt the indicator to different market conditions and trading styles.
Limitations:
While the indicator provides valuable insights, it has some limitations that traders should be aware of:
-- False Signals : Like any technical indicator, false signals can occur. During periods of low liquidity or in choppy markets, the indicator may generate misleading signals. It is essential to consider other indicators, price action, and fundamental analysis to confirm the signals before taking any trading actions.
-- Lagging Nature : Moving averages inherently lag behind the price action and volume changes. As a result, there may be a delay in the generation of signals and capturing trend reversals. Traders should exercise patience and avoid solely relying on this indicator for immediate trade decisions. Combining it with other indicators and tools can provide a more comprehensive picture of market conditions.
In conclusion, this indicator offers valuable insights into volume dynamics and trend analysis. By comparing the normalized VROC with moving averages, traders can identify shifts in buying or selling pressure, validate price moves, and improve trade timing. However, it is important to consider its limitations and use it in conjunction with other technical analysis tools to form a well-rounded trading strategy. Additionally, thorough testing, experimentation, and customization of the indicator's parameters are recommended to align it with individual trading preferences and market conditions.
