Finding Bottoms Using Monthly Inside Candles: DKNGNow, let's take a look at $DKNG.
One of my highest conviction trades this year in January.
In this case, we traded within its March '20 monthly inside range.

DKNG
We zoom in to see not only did the monthly inside low hold, but we have a massive bull flag breakout.
Add the fact that Massachusetts had an inevitable sports betting approval coming, this became a no brainer A+ setup.
Given at $13-$14.
pbs.twimg.com
We capitalized on NASDAQ:DKNG , then rolling it up to a 3/17 22.5c with our target of what?
The March '20 monthly inside resistance of $19.50.
We sold near the top of its first wave into $21, now providing a 50%+ move on underlying since adding to WL in January.
pbs.twimg.com
After a pullback, NASDAQ:DKNG reclaimed the breakout of its March '20 inside range $19.50, providing another massive move into $30+ (+50%).
From the time of my WL add in January, this has now provided over 110% upside.

📊 Navigating The Trading Range📌What Is a Trading Range?
A trading range is a period during which an asset consistently fluctuates between high and low prices. The upper limit of the range acts as a resistance level, meaning it tends to hinder further price increases. The lower limit of the range serves as a support level, providing a barrier against significant price declines. When an asset breaks through or falls below its trading range, it usually means there is momentum (positive or negative) building. A breakout occurs when the price of a security breaks above a trading range, while a breakdown happens when the price falls below a trading range.
Typically, breakouts and breakdowns are more reliable when they are accompanied by a large volume, which suggests widespread participation by traders and investors. Many investors look at the duration of a trading range. Large trending moves often follow extended range-bound periods.
📌Support and Resistance
If an asset is in a well-established trading range, traders can buy when the price approaches its support and sell when it reaches the level of resistance only if there is confluence and signs for it. Using volume is a good indication of spotting continuation or reversals. If the price is approaching a support level with high sell-side volume, its a good indication it might just break down and continue the downtrend to the next support zone. You can define major support/resistance zones where there was clear reaction in the past and use them as major pivots to guarantee safer entries.
Always remember two key things about S/R. The first is, the more times a S/R zone is tested the higher the change a breakout/breakdown will occur. Once a S/R breaks, it will automatically turn into the opposite of what it was, the price break out of the resistance and range above. That previous resistance will act as a support level next time the price action touches it.

Finding Bottoms Using Monthly Inside Candles: SNOWThis past year, I shared many bottoms on names on my weekly WLs based on bottoming consolidation structures, mentioning a specific strategy as a reasoning for the trades. Aside from understanding price action, I used a simple method:
Monthly inside candles/bars.
----------------------------------------------
What is an inside candle/bar?
Inside candles trade “inside” its previous candle. The previous candle’s high and low can be used as resistance and support, respectively. Your trade execution comes on a break & hold above/below the range.
Here are a few examples of this:
pbs.twimg.com
----------------------------------------------
NYSE:SNOW
This has traded within it’s May ‘22 inside range for over a year. This has been one of my top watches earlier this year.
The range provides a macro resistance/support of $187.23 and $112.10, respectively. These levels can now be used as targets for your trades.
How do I execute on this?
Zoom into LTFs to find swing opportunities. In my 1/23/23 weekly watchlist, I provided NYSE:SNOW based on a previous bull div + key support/demand being held (red box).
pbs.twimg.com
All swing contracts provided on the WL printed, while NYSE:SNOW saw a massive upside move from $140 into $178.70 within 2 weeks.
You’ll also notice my invalidation for this was $133.10 while the low was $134.34. This invalidation was based on a breakdown of the range low.
Now once again, on 3/31/2023 I mentioned NYSE:SNOW as a potential high R:R trade.
Based on the exact same reasoning as my January WL.
Once again, NYSE:SNOW was able to hold its demand zone with a macro target of the monthly inside candle resistance.
NYSE:SNOW
The same exact entry & same exact analysis now provided a recent move into my $187.23 target. First move providing a 33% move, second providing a 42% move.
This is how you take advantage of macro inside ranges (specifically monthly candles in these examples).

The Best Odds within a Consolidated MarketEvery pattern of the market has precise areas where the probabilities can play in the most favorable way for you, if you trust the pattern (until it expires). Of course, we trust patterns... that's what we do: we drink and trust patterns .
This example on the XRPUSDT pair is a good example of this. As a day trader (or a FTT trader), your hope here would be to catch a meaningful impulse, a long movement of the price that could give you profits. If you want that, where would you place your entry?
The basic knowledge tells about "zones", but all zones are not equally safe and important in every pattern.
For example, we know that the average zone in a consolidated market (the midrange between its resistance and support) is important... but is it safe? Let's think about it:
By definition, an established market that goes sideways is bouncing between its resistance and support zones. It also tends to bounce against the midrange, of course (or, at least, it tends to struggle in that place); but normally you would expect the price to break the middle of the channel in order to reach its margins. Why? Because that's the very nature of the pattern! Duh!
If the price surpass the midrange, the pattern stays vigorous, healthy and reliable. But what happens if the price exceeds markedly the channel's resistance or support? That would be an apparent or definitive breakout of such pattern... its closure: There's no trustable pattern anymore and you must be careful because your previous analysis now belongs to the past.
This reflection is meant to warn you about one of the common mistakes we commit –perhaps because of the nature (a fault?) of our system or because of our unwise decisions–: Not waiting for the price to come up to the best spot for our entry. Not being selective enough when deciding the best settings of the market.
In my series about trading psychology I expect to delve more into this attitude of not caring too much about our best chances, which is a way of not protecting our capital –although there is also a problem in caring too much , to the point of inertia–. But, for now, let's just reflect about the significant disadvantage of placing our bets into forecasts that objectively lack the best odds within a known pattern! Surely those are not the most educated bets we are capable of... and a profitable trader is person who makes educated bets.

Price BreakoutsHello traders 📊
On this picture here you can see 3 types of breakouts. On the left side you can see breakout examples in an downtrend and on the right side, you can see examples in an uptrend.
Breakouts occur when price breaks a certain zone (support or resistance) and in many cases breakouts represent very important moment. This is usually good time to look for opportunity to trade.
First type of breakout is "strong breakout". They occur once the price breaks certain zone with a strong candle and continue to move without pullback.
Second type of breakout is "retest". Retests are very common and extremely useful. Some of the best trading opportunities are when retest occurs. This means that price went back to test previously broken zone and this is usually good place to buy or sell.
Third type of breakout is "fake-out". This is the worst scenario as price quickly goes back after a breakout. Traders usually enter after a breakout, but once fake-out occurs, traders lose as price goes back quickly to hit stop loss.
We can not know exactly when fake-out will occur, but the best way to protect your account from this is to wait for the candle to close and to avoid to trade when big news are about to release.
Have a great day!

📈 Fibonacci Power in Uptrends📍 What Are Fibonacci Retracement Levels?
Fibonacci retracement levels—stemming from the Fibonacci sequence—are horizontal lines that indicate where support and resistance are likely to occur.
Each level is associated with a percentage. The percentage is how much of a prior move the price has retraced. The Fibonacci retracement levels are 23.6%, 38.2%, 61.8%, and 78.6%. While not officially a Fibonacci ratio, 50% is also used.
The indicator is useful because it can be drawn between any two significant price points, such as a high and a low. The indicator will then create the levels between those two points.
📈 To effectively trade Fibonacci retracements during an uptrend and strategically enter the market during pullbacks, follow these steps:
🔷Identify the uptrend: Determine the presence of a clear upward price movement.
🔷Apply Fibonacci tool: Utilize the Fibonacci retracement tool to identify potential retracement levels within the uptrend.
🔷Focus on pullbacks: Wait for the price to experience a pullback or retracement within the uptrend.
🔷Assess Fibonacci levels: Analyze the price's interaction with key Fibonacci levels, such as the 61.8% or 65% zone, to identify potential support or resistance areas.
🔷Higher highs confirmation: Look for the formation of higher highs after the price touches a Fibonacci level, indicating a continuation of the uptrend.
🔷Entry opportunity: Consider entering the market after a pullback when the price resumes its upward movement, using appropriate risk management strategies.
By combining the power of Fibonacci retracements, recognizing pullbacks in uptrends, and waiting for higher highs, traders can position themselves to capitalize on the potential profit opportunities offered by the market.

When the price pulls back from the disjointed window channel, it should bull to a higher R3 because of the ratio signals with the horizontal events. If the price confirms on S3, be long term bullish!

Bull and Bear Traps!!!👨🏫Hello, dear traders🙋🏻; I am Pejman, and welcome to TradingView Tunes📺. As a lover of classic cartoons, I would like to explain Bull and Bear Trap using the Road Runner and Coyote cartoons😍.
If you've never seen this cartoon👀, let me tell you, it's a masterpiece of trapping and pranking. But what does it have to do with financial markets🤷🏻❓
Believe it or not, there are some striking similarities between the traps Coyote🐺 sets for Road Runner🐦 and the traps that exist in financial markets💲. The market traps are known as bull🐮 and bear🐻 traps, and they can lead to significant losses if investors aren't careful.🙍🏻
For example, the Coyote paints🖌️ the road to drag the Road Runner to a suitable place and traps him with stones🪨 and TNT💣. Or he is trying to surprise the bird with TNT & cactus🌵, in another way.🤭
Large financial institutions and market makers, or whales🐋, try to deceive amateur traders in the financial markets. Like coyotes, they try to trap inexperienced people by creating fake buy🟢 and sell🔴 signals.
To trade with these traps, you should know technical analysis to neutralize the coyote traps of the market like Road Runner.😉
In the financial markets, we have two types of fraudsters. Bulls are the ones who buy and cause prices to rise☝🏻, and on the contrary, bears are the ones who sell and make prices fall👇🏻. Simple enough, right😊❓
However, I explained more about bulls and bears in the market types post👀. You can refer to this post to better understand the rest of the article.👇🏻😉
Every hunter needs prey. For example, we said that the Coyote used to paint the roads. Exactly bulls, by pumping up the price and bears by a sharp drop in the price, fool the inexperienced people. Also, all these events are short-term.
Like Road Runner, you have to pay close attention to the market⚠️.
In this post, I will teach you how to turn threats into opportunities and profit from them.✅
The first step is to identify these traps. Our first trip today is the bull trap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bull Trap:
Let's start with the Bull Trap🏁.
This is when the market looks like it's on the up-and-up⬆️, so you start throwing money around like a looney tune💸. But just like Coyote's contraptions, the market can suddenly backfire and leave you feeling like you just got hit with an anvil💥.
It's enough to make you want to go "meep meep" all the way home☹️🏠. Be like Road Runner and stay alert, or you'll end up with a crate of dynamite💣 strapped to your back. That's a bull trap in a nutshell.
A bull trap is when the market appears to increase, so investors jump in, hoping to make a profit. But then, the market suddenly drops, and those investors are left holding the bag👜. They thought they were getting ahead of the game but were just falling into a trap.🪤
You may be fooled by the chart and expect the price to pump up, but in reality, the price will start to fall or act like a reversal pattern.↩️
At this time, those who traded without stop loss🚫 will lose the most. It would help if you watched out for these traps in any type, whether up, down, or sideways (range market).
The price must be below a resistance zone for a bull trap to form a reversal pattern. A bull trap can change an uptrend to a downtrend after creating classic reversal patterns such as double tops, heads & shoulders, diamonds, etc.😉
If you want to know the patterns and learn classic patterns with a quick review⏩, you can get help from the following post.
Now that you know this trap, we can talk about ways to recognize and deal with this trap.
How to recognize the Bull Trap🔎
Sir John Templeton says: The four most dangerous words in investing are: "This time it's different."🤔
We may have said these words and confused real traps with fake traps. But how can you prevent this mistake?🤷🏻
Do you remember that we talked about fake and valid breakouts in the Support and Resistance post?💭
You can also read the link below for a background on this topic.
Let's go back to our topic. To ensure that the breakout is valid, we should look for two confirmation signs✅️:
1. Increase in Trading Volume
2. Bullish candlestick patterns
Now let's go through each one in detail because the devil👹 is in the details 😂.
Increase in Trading Volume
For the breakout to be valid, the volume📶 of the broken candle must be significantly higher than the previous candles. But more is needed because coyotes are clever and intelligent. Even after the breakout, the trading volume for the other candles should remain high to ensure the failure is real.
In a bull trap, the volume of the fake breakout candles either does not increase or only slightly.
If you see that the trend has lost momentum after breaking out or has no strong momentum to continue or start the trend, this is precisely the trail of coyotes in the market.
Along with market volume, considering candlesticks and their patterns can be equally helpful as they clearly show market movement.
You can take a look at the following post to learn about these candlestick patterns and review them.
For example, by seeing bullish candlestick patterns, you can understand that a breakout is not fake.
Bullish Candlestick Patterns:
If the breakout candle is a giant momentum candle, it's called a Marubozu , which is not difficult to find on the chart. This candle has a green and long body, and its wick is tiny compared to its body, or it does not have a wick at all.
This candle is associated with a high trading volume, and it shows that TNT is not working in this upward trend, and real buyers are in the market.
Also, the pattern of the 👩🚀👩🚀👨🚀 Three White Soldiers 👩🚀👨🚀👩🚀 is a reversal pattern that can be seen as a continuation pattern in the charts.
Along with all these signs, you should always keep the market trend in mind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bear Trap:
Next up is the Bear Trap.
This is when the market looks like it's going to crash💥 and burn🔥, so you start selling your assets like there's no tomorrow.
But just like Coyote's rockets, the market can suddenly bounce back and leave you feeling like you just got flattened by an Acme anvil.
Don't panic! Be like Road Runner and stay calm, or you'll fall off a cliff.
Bear traps are similar to bull traps. Young and inexperienced bears🐻 are caught in these traps.
When the young bears think the market is going down, these traps are activated, and the hunters place heavy buy orders.
At this moment, this heavy order will cause the price to turn upward, and anyone who has a short position without a stop loss will lose their money💸.
A trap is a trap, and it doesn't matter if it is a bear or a bull🐮. Here we use the duplicate confirmations we used in bull traps, like a steady increase in trading volume and continuation candlestick patterns.
When a support zone is broken, hunters prepare to set traps. If the bearish momentum candle is not accompanied by increased trading volume, this can be a sign of a trap.
The ⚫️⚫️⚫️ Three Black Crow ⚫️⚫️⚫️ candlestick pattern is usually a reversal pattern but sometimes acts as a continuation pattern. If a high trading volume accompanies this pattern, it can be a valid sign of a breakout.
Now I will tell you how to use these traps (Bull&Bear) and get profit from them like a professional trader.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to trade with a Bull Trap
The bull traps start with an uptrend. As you can see the picture has a resistance zone, and the price may test a zone several times before passing it.
When a fake breakout occurs, it may initially be accompanied by an increase in trading volume, but it is entirely temporary, and you will notice a decrease⤵️ in the intensity of the trend from the next candles.
When the intensity of the trend decreases, market coyotes activate their traps. And they set sell orders, and the bloody🩸 candles appear on the chart.
With a valid breakout of the last support, the price reaches our entry point station⛽️. You can place your stop loss a little higher than the top of the bull trap and place your stop loss🚫 above the breakout candlestick of the support zone, considering the higher Risk-Reward ratio.
To find the take profit💰 point, consider the difference between the peak trap and the support zone as X, and Viola, now expects X amount to profit from your entry point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to trade with a Bear Trap
Now it's time for the second trap.
After occurring a valid support zone breakout and an increase in price, you must wait for the price to break through the last resistance zone after a sudden sharp move.
When you can use the signs⚠️, you are sure that the coyotes have abandoned the process, that there is no trap🪤, and that real failure has happened; you can open your long positions.
Now, this passed resistance zone has turned into support, and you can wait for the price to test this area several times for more confidence and then open your entry point.
Like trading in bull traps, in bear traps, you can place your stop loss a little below the valley of the bear trap.
Considering the higher Risk-Reward ratio, you can also put it below the breakout candle of the resistance zone.
The take-profit point is the same as the bull trap, but vice versa. Consider X from the lowest price in the bear trap and the resistance zone.
Now, as much as X, we can expect that the upward trend will continue and precious dollars will rain on our heads.
Now that you have learned about the bull trap🪤 in an uptrend and the bear trap in a downtrend↘️, you should remember that the market is not always up🔺️ and down🔻, and the road runner should also expect traps on the range roads. You should be aware of bull/bear traps in the range market.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Range Market
When the price gets stuck between the support and resistance zones, the range market is created, and the coyotes also look for inexperienced road runners in this market.
This is a sad story for new traders who rush into positions when they see the resistance or support zone break.
Price fluctuations in range markets are minor; trading in a range market is much more complex than in bull and bear markets.
So I suggest you spend more time on your trading strategies and test them several times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion:
Even in life, some coyotes seek to trick you by creating fake situations. But you have to be careful and smart like Road Runner.
Sir John Templeton believes that: "Bull markets are born on pessimism, grown on skepticism, mature on optimism, and die on euphoria."
And also, David Dreman says: "Bear markets are like avalanches: they start slowly and accelerate gradually before gaining momentum and becoming a force of nature🏞."
In the financial markets, bulls and bears are constantly fighting each other, but the real winners are always those who use various tools and indicators to avoid risk and find safe spots for trading and profit.
Once you practice and familiarize your eyes with all kinds of trends and traps, you will become a road runner in the market.
So, if you want to be like the clever road runner and avoid falling into the bull and bear traps in the financial markets, stay alert, stay informed, and be prepared to adapt your investment💰 strategy when necessary.

Market Reversal & Candlestick Pattern | Spot & Trade It Like Pro
Candlestick patterns are frequently applied for the identification of early trend reversal signs.
Here are the three most common reversal formations that you may encounter trading different markets:
1️⃣ - Equal inside bar formation
Once the price reaches some important pivot point quite often it tends to form a weak candle with a long rejection wick (long in comparison to the buddy of the candle).
In case if the consequent candle's body has the same range, we call that the equal inside bar.
It can be treated as the reversal formation ONLY with additional confirmation.
Without an additional trigger, chances will be high that the market will start a sideways movement instead.
2️⃣ - Engulfing candle
Once the price reaches some important pivot point quite often it tends to form a weak candle with a long rejection wick (long in comparison to the buddy of the candle).
In case if the consequent candle's body engulfs (has a bigger range) the previous candle, we call that the engulfing candle.
By itself, it is a quite strong reversal signal and can be applied as a trigger for opening a trading position.
3️⃣ - Engulfing candle (2X)
Sometimes, the engulfing candle engulfs not only the previous candle but also one more preceding one.
We also can call such a candle a high momentum candle.
It is considered to be the strongest reversal formation (among these 3) and can be applied as a signal for a trade entry.
❗️Remember that candlestick patterns work only on strong pivots /structure levels. Being formed on random levels, the performance of these formations is relatively low.
Let me know, traders, what do you want to learn in the next educational post?
Trade Ascending Parallel Channel With 3 Points + Pivot PointTrade Ascending Parallel Channel With 3 Points + Pivot Point Indicator
Connect your three points using the parallel channel. First, connect two points which are your higher lows. Next, connect the third point which is the swing high. The swing high is the higher high.
In this example, a pin bar formed at the higher low. Pin Bar wick touches pivot point level and channel support level. Volume Indicator is "green" and pin bar is "white." Conditions are great to enter the market at pin bar closing price.
Current resolutionAside of the usual things ie waves & levels, being on a given resolution, mainly we are interested in the direction in which trading activity develops (so called, trend, gradient, slope etc). It is not exactly necessary if you follow a vehicle on every resolution, this way you always know the direction by simply understanding whether we are in low res buying wave or we are in low res selling wave. Still it's useful, especially for spotting in real time how the trading activity reverses, how a low res wave ends (or not) .
All these higher high and lower lows, mark ups & mark downs, trend lines (omg), "value" moving up or down, it was all close but not exactly on point.
A trend aka tendency has not much doing about movement per se, it's all about a certain sequence of events.
After numerous logical experiments, you will arrive to the following minimalist understanding. First let's define 2 things: long event and short event.
Long events:
1) a level gets positioned as support;
2) a resistance gets cleared;
Short events:
1) a level gets positioned as resistance;
2) a support gets cleared;
When you see a sequence of 2 unidirectional events in a row, it means you have a tendency = trend.
1) when you see multiple long events in a row (2 is enough), this is up trend;
2) when you see multiple short events in a row (2 is enough), this is down trend;
3) when there's no sequence, this is "everything else";
Everything else is in fact a loosely defined case. Yes by definition it's the iteration between long & short events, and it works well, however this kind of activity may 'invite" emergence of very short lived trends (2 unidirectional events).
That tells us this:
1) While being in an up trend, levels are expected to be positioned as supports and then hold when approached by the exhausted selling waves.
2) While being in a down trend, levels are expected to be positioned as resistances and then hold when approached by the exhausted buying waves.
3) While being in a "everything else" situation. You expect an iteration of long & short events.
There are clues that can help in dealing with "everything else" cases, provided by comparative analysis between positioned level and waves.
Comparison between levels is made the same way as with waves. Best of 3:
1) Price: distance between front & back parts of a level. Narrower - stronger;
2) time: a level that formed later in time is always stronger;
3) volume: you compare the current amount of volume gathered & consumed during positioning & testing processes. Higher remaining volume - stronger level.
This way you can take 2 levels and obtain a binary answer which level is stronger. Now, you can compare the current level (the last level that was positioned) and the previous level positioned in the opposite direction. While being in "everything else" situation, in general, that'll mean comparing a support below and resistance above. Prices tend t go where it's easier.
Yet another thing you can do is to compare waves as explained in "Wave exhaustion", but this time you'll be comparing current wave and the previous wave in the opposite direction. While being in "everything else" situation, in general, that'll mean comparing the current wave with the previous wave, and that wave will have the opposite direction. Comparing these 2 waves, you'll now in which way the order flow is stronger.
On the chart, you can see a red arrow, a bar that produced 2 short events in a row: positioning of 3896 as resistance and clearing the support at 3890.
Btw, another thing you can do is comparing levels in the same direction while being in a trend. When the're such sequence that levels in the same direction become weaker and weaker, usually it means that the overall trend is loosing motive strength.
That's the info you can gain being on a given resolution, without having any other data.
XLM/BTC Position Trading. Zones. Money management. PsychologyLogarithm. Time interval—1 month. The main trend since the beginning of trading.
Coin in coinmarketcap: Stellar.
Top trading pairs to bitcoin have significant liquidity. In position trading, you need to work in portions from support/resistance level zones with a predetermined size distribution.
Unlike pairs to the dollar, pumps/dumps are smaller in % ratio due to the % rise/fall of bitcoin itself. If bitcoin is cashed in the market, profits remain the same. Hence, the smaller % is illusory in nature.
BTC instead of stabelcoins .
In such pairs, the “money” is bitcoin. Consequently, even premature selling (there shouldn't be any, since the position is allocated in advance) forgives mistakes, since you get bitcoins instead of USD or stabelcoins. Currently, many stabelcoins are losing their $1 peg, meaning they are devalued. Trading in a bitcoin pair reduces that risk.
Work on such pairs is suitable foremost for medium and large participants of the market. It is not rational to work with a small amount in such a time/profit perspective.
Money (crypto assets) security Money management.
This is key. You don't need to hold a large position on the exchange for this kind of trading! Why keep coins or stabelcoins on exchange if you make transactions quite rarely, only large movements. You understand beforehand when it will happen and in what price zone you are going to buy/sell.
That's what all the big market participants who don't take part in price formation do. When you need to buy or sell, you transfer the assets to the exchange and sell or buy on the market. You withdraw right away. If the amount is large enough, you should do this procedure in installments, preferably on several exchanges.
At one time I worked for a long time (several years) on DOGE/BTC pair, when this coin was (scam, joke coin) nobody was interested in it, unlike the current time of hype. There is a trading idea of the principle of this work in Russian 2019.
In this work, you work only in the secondary trend, from the main support/resistance zones, considering the development of the trend. You absolutely do not need to be interested in crypto news, the opinion of the majority and so on. You can look at the chart even once every few months.
What's more, you also don't need to know the future highs and lows of the next cycle (though for traders, they are easily identifiable). You work piecemeal from the zones. You know in advance where and by how much you buy or sell. Locally you can trade 20-30% of your coins, so you will have extra profit. But you don't have to.
The price goes down — good for you.
The price goes up — good for you.
Trading is guessing market probabilities of price movements. Algorithmic thinking according to a trading strategy, devoid of any emotion, makes money. Anything else loses it in any market. In other words, you must initially be prepared for more likely (in your opinion) and less likely outcomes. Know under what conditions you buy and under what conditions you sell.
Buying/selling in portions of coins according to predetermined zones.
You work from the average recruitment price and from the average selling price in portions, similar to how large market participants work on the BTC/USD pair. You never go completely into cache or similarly into coins. Only the % ratio of coins to money changes depending on the market cycle.
Work from the average buy/sell price (of money and coins) on a global scale (large time frame), without any "what if this time will be different". If it does, it's none of your business.
Know in advance where you will buy more in case of drawdown, and where you will sell in case of pumping. Again, without the "It could be different this time" and emotional component.
Sell and buy assets a little bit before everyone else in the market in installments, "not knowing the exact future," even if you think you know it. This will keep you from making mistakes.
Coin trading in the local trend.
By trading part of a position locally, you will always have money from profits to buy (averaging the main position) in case of so-called local "black swans". This work is not mandatory, but desirable.
It helps some people a lot psychologically, especially if the initial entry into the asset was erroneous and the price dropped significantly. By increasing the number of coins of local work, you thereby reduce your previous losses or even come out in profit over time. Again, you don't have to work this way, but it is advisable.
The smaller goals you set, the more you end up earning on the distance .
An untouchable supply of coins and cache in case of market force of circumstances .
Always keep in mind the possibility of a “black swan,” even if it seems impossible. You always have 20-30% of your position depending on the cycle (money/coins) in case of force of circumstances.
Bearish—a “black swan” sell-off under the channel support zone (happens very rarely).
Bullish—the final hammer madness over the channel resistance (happens very rarely just in pairs with bitcoin because in a bull cycle bitcoin grows 5-8 times on average).
Remember that in the accumulation phase in most cases there is a residual price zone of capitulation, super fear. It is usually accompanied by a “black swan. When everyone gets rid of their assets out of fear. You, on the contrary, buy with a grid of orders with a large range, without emotion.
Consequently, always have a pre-allocated cache (or from the profits of a local trade) if such a trading situation is realized in the market. Turn someone else's negative emotions into your own profits.
You should always act according to your trading plan and be ready for any market situation, even an extremely unlikely one.
bull market highs zone (channel resistance).
At the peak of the market, you should already have more than 60-70% in bitcoin (cache) for the next market cycle. 10-20% of the rest of the position should be in a stop loss to protect profits. This is more rational if the last spurt occurs.
Coins sold for bitcoin can be held in bitcoin in a cold wallet (not rational if the overall market trend has reversed). You can also similarly sell on the market for cash (be sure to withdraw from the exchange), or put a stop-loss to protect profits, in case the market makes another spurt (additional profit on the BTC/USD pair).
Always sell when the price rises significantly (pumping). Protect your profits with a stop.
Always sell a substantial portion of your coins with a grid of pending orders during an active pumping phase. Another option is not to sell, but to protect your profits with a stop loss.
Bear market minima. (lower channel zone).
In a bear market, the lower the price falls, the more market participants wait even lower. Everything is similar to the distribution, only mirrored in the opposite direction. This illogical inadequacy of people is especially noticeable at the "peak of fear." Before that super minimum (there may not be one), you need to gain most of the coin position in advance, but be prepared for anything...
Again, you must know in advance where and for what % of the allocated amount you buy coins and under what conditions. There must be discipline in everything and determine in advance what your further actions will be in accordance with your trading algorithm, rather than an emotional component.
Always have a certain percentage of money that is comfortable for you in any dominant trend and phase of the market.
Bull Market .
In a bull phase, you should accumulate a large percentage of cache (stabelcoins) at the expense of profits.
Bear market .
In the bear phase (altcoins from -90% and below) you should accumulate in portions of cryptocurrencies you are interested in.
I'm sure most people have it the other way around. In a bullish phase, most collect promising cryptocurrencies bought near price highs (hype, everything goes up in value).
In the bear phase, on the contrary, most market participants load most of their trading depots into staplecoins (fear, everything is falling in price, expectation of inadequate floor prices). They are driven by the desire to buy back the lowest price of the trend, right before the reversal. The lower the market falls, the more most go from fear to stablcoins.
Trade market cycles, not individual cryptocurrencies. Because their price strictly follows market cycles, but not the other way around.
Options for the development of price movement on the pair XLM/BTC. .
I will show the percentages of the following 3 zones of this channel, depending on where and under what conditions the reversal of this secondary trend will occur (a downward wedge is formed).

Be aware of trends and accumulation/distribution zones .
Remember that a bear market, like a bull market, will not last forever. Where there is supposedly an end, there is always a new beginning.
Everything is subject to cycles. This is especially true of financial markets. Every cycle is the same to the point of triviality. Be guided by trends, that is, by accumulation/distribution zones, when they start and end.
Bitcoin — as more than a decade of cycle history shows, this is from -70-82% of the secondary trend high. This does not mean that the subsequent cycle will have the same percentage trend value, but there is a possibility.
Alts average -90-96% and lower depending on the liquidity of the crypto coin. The lower the liquidity (people involvement), the higher the risk. You should also understand that the lower the liquidity, the higher the slippage at “peak fear” can be. Many altcoins, especially those with low liquidity, do not survive to the next cycle.
Also be aware of market capitulation shocks as a consequence of so-called “black swans.” It won't necessarily happen, but the possibility always exists.
The price of something that is worthless can be turned into absolutely anything on the market, to the point of inadequacy. It's not a real commodity whose value people understand.
Psychology. Indicators of distribution/accumulation zones in cycles.
Allocation zones —resetting to “hamsters” (fools or inexperienced market participants) is expensive.
In a bull market, the higher the price rises, the higher the expectations. Up to inadequacy in the last reset zone in the distribution. “Hamsters” buy very expensive “promising coins” near trending price highs (marketing, information noise) and wait even higher.
Accumulation Zones — Large market participants buy on the cheap from “hamsters”, constantly scaring them with various bikes and imitations. There is a massive build-up of negative news.
Hamsters sell cheap and wait for an even lower price. No matter how low the price is, it cannot satisfy people like them.
In other words, their thinking is sharpened to the opposite. Projecting onto trade what they are in life. Anything to do with money reinforces this effect. Buy expensive, sell cheap. Don't inherit this tendency of those who lose money in the market.
As a rule, most people don't buy at flea markets; they are afraid. They wait for those who should be selling to them to say, "Fools, it's time to buy in the very expensive.")
What matters is how much you earn when you're right, and how much you lose when you're wrong. You should know these potential values initially before you make a deal. If you can't determine them, or the risk is too high — refrain from trading.
Immunity to guessing lows and highs .
Most fools do this in all cycles. Forget the hamster concept of selling at the peak or buying at the low. Leave it to those who are destitute and will be even poorer because of it.
Again, it's all in the head. What a person is like in reality is what a person is like in trading. Kill your greed.
For example, in all bitcoin cycles (I have my third), the so-called hamsters (fuel) and pseudo traders (fuel) always want to guess the highs and lows of the price. The question is, why do we need to do this? The answer lies in the thinking of the poor and lack of understanding of simple logical things.
The ability to wait for your goals.
Be patient. Cycles, both local and global, tend to recur with their own time interval, which cannot be identical to the previous one. Consequently, only the patient earns.
Learn to be out of the market,
In areas of uncertainty, if the market doesn't let you make money, why burn time in vain? This time can be used with benefit both for yourself and for others. Take a rest, read an interesting book, go somewhere, do something useful. The main thing is not to immerse yourself on the Internet.
It is important how much you earn when you are right and how much you lose when you are wrong. Initially, before entering a trade, you should know these potential values. If you can't determine them, or the risk is too high, then refrain from trading.
Treat the numbers on the screen as numbers, not as money.
No equation with the value of "what you can buy with that amount of money on the screen." That is, you have to identify with the percentage of profit/loss, not the money — the amount of profit/loss.
When -5% to $100 is $5, and you are not afraid of such a loss.
But, for example, when your balance is over $10 million, then -5% would be $0.5 million. For a fat hamster, that's a tragedy. For a big trader, it is a calculated risk. The drawdown can be much more significant, but the risk is always considered and accepted in advance. In the end, the profit more than compensates for such a drawdown. I think you understand the logic. It allows you to understand whether you are ready to work with large sums or not.
I purposely wrote a large amount as an example to provide a clear contrast because everyone is ready to lose temporarily, namely temporarily $5?
But $500,000 is an unimaginable amount for most people. But to be ready to work with big sums, you need that discipline and attitude towards money at the very beginning of your hobby of trading. Everyone wants to work with large sums in the future when they trade, or am I wrong?
As a rule, most market participants cannot overcome this barrier because of their "lust for money" and identification: the numbers on the screen are real money, not just profit/loss % figures.
A trader's behavior in the market is a result of his thinking. Your way of thinking affects your habits, and your habits are what makes or loses money in the market.
Margin is bad .
The exception (not necessarily) is an adequate short position with minimum leverage and risk limitation.
If you want to steadily earn in the market and never get nervous - don't use margin at all. Absolutely never. As a rule, the poor use margin, and the poorer they are, the higher the leverage. Perhaps that is the secret of their poverty. I'm not talking about margin in the first place, I'm talking about the mindset that generates higher margin leverage, driving the risk/profit ratio to idiocy, but that's the way it is.
Exchanges don't like those who make money and adore those who might lose money trying to get rich.
Margin trading with leverage is only for experienced traders. It should be taboo for novice traders.
Diversification of storage and trading places .
This is very relevant to position trading. I wrote about it above. Don't trade or store your coins in one place.
"Russian or South Korean hackers attacked a top exchange, all cryptocurrency stolen." This is sarcasm, but this is exactly the kind of FUD for fools you will see when they just steal cryptocurrency from exchanges under the guise of such a tale. The made-up story doesn't matter, what matters is that the people behind the cryptocurrency exchanges will steal cryptocurrency from you, wearing the skin of an injured sheep).
The safety of your money (including cryptocurrencies) depends only on you, not on chance. Anything that seems random is not. If you always rely on chance instead of your mind, you are doomed. The will of chance will shadow you and haunt and empty your pocket time after time. You will always be at the forefront of the victims of your carelessness and self-confidence.
Always keep some of your positions in cold storage .
Keep some of your positions, even if you are very actively trading, on a cold or hardware wallet (preferably several). It should be at least 30% of your total deposit. This percentage should vary during certain phases of the market. In accumulation zones, most of the position should be out of the exchanges.
Diversification of stubblecoins (profits) and their blockchain storage.
Very relevant because in the future, one liquid stabelcoin like UST (Luna) will be zeroed out (disposal of money on a large scale). Probably, many people have understood this for a long time, but do not believe it will be implemented. Not only that, but most altcoins will evaporate at the moment. Yes, the probability, as always, is no greater. But if that probability is there, it is rational to take steps to make sure it doesn't hurt you. Diversification as well as swift action during an event is the best defense against something like this.
Stable coins are always a risk. Keep this diversification in mind, both by their own varieties and by blockchain if you are storing them on a hardware wallet.
Unfortunately, this is a risk you will have to accept and live with, as using stablcoins is a component of trading.
Diversify such assets not only when you are out of the market waiting to trade, but even when you are actively trading. That is, by using different stabelcoins when trading the same cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC) you reduce risk. For example, BTC/USDC, BTC /USDT or BTC/BUSD.
Any stabelcoin is an altcoin whose value (stability) is based only on people's belief in its stability .
Totally uninterested in the opinion of the crowd .
The crowd is always wrong. The majority always loses in the market. Otherwise, it would be impossible to make money in the market. Therefore, by being interested in and listening to the trend of the opinions of most market participants, you can unnoticeably lean towards the opinion and understanding of those who initially have to lose. Are you prepared for losses? No? Then why should you be?
Another option is to use the opinion of most market participants to track market trends. If you are well-versed in psychology, this will be helpful. If not, you yourself may fall prey to opinions unnoticed.
Everything unpredictable is the fate of only absolutely predictable people, it always was, is and will be .
Don't be interested in cryptocurrency news.
The chart takes everything into account, including the release of "tales for fools." All crypto news is created for price direction and nothing more.
Small-scale news for influencing fools (their logical scare/satisfaction actions) to locally influence the price. Large scale news and events to globally influence the trend and the market as a whole.
If you can understand and read between the lines, understanding what the manipulator is trying to achieve, then you can use the news background in your trading strategy. If not, and you are not a good psychologist - completely ignore the flow of information.
The positive and negative emotions of others in the market generate volatility, which is your earning wave. Ride it.
Don't mess with anonymous fools.
Appreciate your time. Don't pay attention if someone criticizes you without being constructive, or wants to impose their perspective without arguments of rightness. Such commenters are usually people with a very low social status in reality, they are trying to assert themselves through the internet in an anonymous world.
Be immune to such losers, they are the ones who want you to doubt yourself and accept their perspective. The more bile, the more anonymous cries from.
Understand that only such people have time to correspond and “spout bile” on the anonymous internet. As a rule, these are immature individuals or conventionally "mature," but with the mindset and interests of a teenager.
Don't waste your time on the vacuous or psychological aberrations of flawed Internet characters. Make good use of your time.
The behavior of people in financial markets is a projection of who they are in real life. That is, their positive and negative psychological qualities.
Don't be a trading junkie. Don't waste time.
Don't waste time. Both for meaningless Internet price guessing, and for round-the-clock trading.
Mindless guesses.
The idiocy of the crowd. Trying to guess highs or lows that are logically understandable. When all scenarios are clear and understandable. Do not turn into idiots from the "where the price of bitcoin will go" sect. Everything is always the same in every cycle.
You must decide for yourself initially (after spending several hours) on what conditions and prices you will buy this or that cryptocurrency and at what prices to sell. Have a more likely and less likely scenario. Be ready for any incarnation. Do not complicate simple logical things with the stupidity of fortune-tellers mixed with your greed.
The basis of trading is your trading strategy , that is, your knowledge that you put into practice in symbiosis with risk management , that is, your manner of taking on take risks in transactions and manage money.
To paraphrase, initially you need to understand how much you will earn when you are right, and how much you will lose (hit stop or averaging if a less likely scenario is realized) when you are wrong. In such cases, it is absolutely not necessary to know the exact price of the low or high of the trend, leave that to the idiots.
Trading 24/7.
I will write short and clear. Money without life is not needed. In everything there must be adequacy.
Knowing the instinctively more likely behavior of people (the psychology of mass behavior) in a given situation, as well as programming people's behavior (what is right / wrong, how to act in a given situation according to the rules) and creating the same situations, allows easy to manage "potentially uncontrollable behavioral chaos".
Psychology. Be yourself - don't go against yourself.
For traders Work with your trading algorithms based on your knowledge and experience, not on emotions.
For those who are faced with the fact that trading constantly "hit the head" . Become an investor.
Carefully study the cryptocurrencies you are interested in and decide whether to invest in them or not. Divide the money needed to invest in each cryptocurrency into several parts. Buy in areas of potential price reversal. After purchase, send your coins to a hardware wallet.
Stay away from your cryptocurrencies until the new bull cycle (peak will be in 2025). Also, before the big bull cycle, there will be an intermediate one by a relatively small percentage, as in 2019-2020. Don't forget to sell some of the coins to buy them back much cheaper.
It is also worth paying attention to those cryptocurrencies that are included (blockchains and protocols) in the development of CBDC and comply with the future ISO 20022 standard (already in March). XLM is one of them.
Trade Pivot Points and Parallel Channels with 3 PointsWatch for pull backs to the pivot point level. Next, use the parallel channel tool to determine entry points and exit points. In this example, connect two higher lows and one higher high to create a "potential" Parallel Channel. The intersection of the horizontal level and diagonal level with pin bar makes this special trade set up a high probability trade.
The Best Pull Backs To Trade (Part One)Price pulled back to pivot point level 0.67. Price retraced 50%. Pin Bar candlestick formed at 50% retracement. Open Price and Close Price is "near" 50% retracement level as well at the pivot point level. Candlestick wick protrudes through the pivot point level and retracement level.
This is an ideal condition to enter a trade position using pivot point indicator, fibonacci retracement tool, and pin bar candlestick.
Special Entry Patterns - IPO'sJS-TechTrading Masterclass : Special Entry Patterns - IPO's
In a previous tutorial, I have explained the general characteristics of a perfect buy point. In this tutorial, we will look at IPO's (Initial Public Offerings) and discuss how to identify primary bases.
IPO's coming out of primary bases can make huge price moves - let's discuss how to find the next monster mover, similar to what stocks like Amazon could achieve after their Initial Public Offering phase.
Perfect Entry Points – IPO’s – The Primary Base
When it comes to investing in IPO stocks, new issues don't play by the usual rules.
Companies making initial public offerings draw a lot of investor attention. That often results in unusual and brand-new chart patterns. Volatility can rise as investors size up demand for the new stock. Yet there are opportunities in these cases, if you can spot the correct characteristics amid the price-and-volume action.
The framework of a good IPO base is simple. The decline from peak to low usually doesn't top 20%, but the most volatile markets have produced declines of up to 50%. The length is often less than five weeks and can be as short as seven days. These two factors alone make IPO bases wayward cousins compared with proper bases, such as the cup with handle and flat base, which need at least five to seven weeks of work.
In an IPO base, the pattern typically starts within 25 days of the stock's first day of trading. Know the important similarities with regular bases. For example, the buy point is drawn by taking the prior high and adding 10 cents. The price gain on the breakout should be strong.
There are ways to evaluate these blind spots, however. Important factors include seeing a shallow correction within the base during normal market conditions, a large increase in price and a close near session highs on the breakout day, and heavy volume on the breakout day and week.
Also, the stock should generally form the base above its IPO price.
Example - ServiceNow (NOW)
The business software company, went public in June 2012, at 18 a share and has built its primary base during the period from the initial offering to April 2013 when the stock developed its first perfect buy point.
