It indicates that the prices were marked up during the day , the Trading activity was High as indicated by the High volume and the prices dropped to near the low (or to the low) towards the closing hours.

Importance of Volume vs Price RelationshipA lot of people dismiss the importance of volume. But the truth is, without volume, a comprehensive analysis is almost not possible. Each candle, each swing point, each supply/demand zone, each wave and each retracements volume is important not to be overlooked.
I hope this picture helps a lot of you to get some basic understanding on how I use volume to measure strength/weakness in a pair and trade accordingly. This is the reason why most of my trades go in the right direction.
Carimin (5257.KL) Showing Sign of Weakness with Up-ThrustThe Up-Thrust from Volume Spread Analysis is a money-making manoeuvre by the Smart Money to trap the unwary into buying. Prices are marked up at the open. High volume shows selling by the Smart Money while low volume shows their lack of interest in the upside.
After you witnessed a sign of weakness (SOW), the next 2 to 3 bars are important as a confirmation of this weakness. Example of SoW we spotted in Carimin after a gained of +32% since the beginning of Mark-Up stage. The daily chart show there are distribution at the top with high volume.
Lookout for Sell-Off bar with high volume as this is the confirmation of distribution by the Smart Money.

ULTA update: watching for the FOMO bulls' next moveThis educational screencast is I hope useful in showing how price action can be assessed from various perspectives. It is now pretty late in the game to short ULTA. See ULTA - Journey South ? (from 20th Nov 2018).
I expect FOMO bulls to rush into ULTA, fighting for a few crumbs! LOL. That expectation is based only on human psychology. Make no mistake, it is psychology that works at the tips of the markets.
See also what happened to FOMO Bulls in NVIDIA .
I re-emphasise that I have no need of working out where price is going to go. I'm using a probability model instead of a 'predictive' model. Hence - no targets, only controlled acceptable losses.
Avoid Unnecessary Risk by Trading at Resistance with Low Volume Based on the daily chart, Muda Holdings is still moving in accumulation stage. Based on Volume Spread Analysis, we spotted the Smart Money is buying slowly at the support level. Below are the signals of accumulation by Smart Money:
1. Price immediately moved sideways after the Sell-Off bar with high volume indicating the end of distribution
2. Volume getting lower on the 2nd bottom at support level (RM1.52)
3. Lots of narrow spread bar with low volume. Smart Money is buying slowly at the bottom without pushing the prices up.
4. Lots of hidden potential buying at the support level. As spotted in the chart (Spring, Test and LC)
However, based on today chart (6 December), price still failed to break above the resistance level. Notice there is a sign of weakness (UT) which indicating seller still in the market. Once Smart Money spotted sellers at the resistance, they might avoid the price level. Smart Money won’t absorb this supply at higher levels. This is why we often saw shakeouts and whipsawing in the accumulation stage because the cost is lower to buy at support level.
Price is likely to pullback to support level, traders can look for Shakeout signals for low risk trade. Example of Shakeout signal Spring.

TRADE TRIGGERS - WHAT ARE THEY? / VIDEO / 10 MINUTES LONGHey TradingView -
In this video I cover the concept of trade triggers and what actually gets us into the markets. Specifically I try to illustrate the point that I keep making over and over:
>> GOOD TRADERS WILL SPOT THE SAME TRADE AROUND THE SAME AREA. WHERE THEY EXACTLY GET IN AND WHY WILL BE DIFFERENT <<
So I will show you a little bit of what I use to read the charts when it comes to picking an entry, as well as go over how you might use some of the more popular indicators to do the same - EMAs and Bollinger Bands specifically.
REMEMBER - your entry is NOWHERE near as important as your exit.
I hope this video is helpful. If it is, please kindly drop a like. As always, questions both in the comments and in DMs are always, always welcome.
D1 bias, H1 setup, short term executionI'll post my Ninjatrader charts for trade entries. This is the kind of setup I want to wait for vs fighting the grind on NQ today.
I'm a momentum trader, and momentum comes from traps and/or tipping points. I don't want price to ever come back to my entry and I don't believe in wide stops.
Before taking entries, ask yourself about the market state. Is it grinding? If so, you're going to get killed with constant retests of your entries, general noise etc. What's the point getting into a position you think is going to be retested (I'm speaking as a daytrader, not a swing trader...).
If you're getting stuck overtrading, ask yourself this:
Do I really expect this trade to move to my target?
If there's a preceding trap AND contraction AND empty space ahead of you...that's where the money's made.
