Inverse MACD + DMI Scalping with Volatility Stop (By Coinrule)This script is focused on shorting during downtrends and utilises two strength based indicators to provide confluence that the start of a short-term downtrend has occurred - catching the opportunity as soon as possible.
This script can work well on coins you are planning to hodl for long-term and works especially well whilst using an automated bot that can execute your trades for you. It allows you to hedge your investment by allocating a % of your coins to trade with, whilst not risking your entire holding. This mitigates unrealised losses from hodling as it provides additional cash from the profits made. You can then choose to hodl this cash, or use it to reinvest when the market reaches attractive buying levels.
Alternatively, you can use this when trading contracts on futures markets where there is no need to already own the underlying asset prior to shorting it.
ENTRY
The trading system uses the Momentum Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator and the Directional Movement Index (DMI) indicator to confirm when the best time is for selling. Combining these two indicators prevents trading during uptrends and reduces the likelihood of getting stuck in a market with low volatility.
The MACD is a trend following momentum indicator and provides identification of short-term trend direction. In this variation it utilises the 12-period as the fast and 26-period as the slow length EMAs, with signal smoothing set at 9.
The DMI indicates what way price is trending and compares prior lows and highs with two lines drawn between each - the positive directional movement line (+DI) and the negative directional movement line (-DI). The trend can be interpreted by comparing the two lines and what line is greater. When the negative DMI is greater than the positive DMI, there are more chances that the asset is trading in a sustained downtrend, and vice versa.
The system will enter trades when two conditions are met:
1) The MACD histogram turns bearish.
2) When the negative DMI is greater than the positive DMI.
EXIT
The strategy comes with a fixed take profit combined with a volatility stop, which acts as a trailing stop to adapt to the trend's strength. Depending on your long-term confidence in the asset, you can edit the fixed take profit to be more conservative or aggressive.
The position is closed when:
Take-Profit Exit: +8% price decrease from entry price.
OR
Stop-Loss Exit: Price crosses above the volatility stop.
In general, this approach suits medium to long term strategies. The backtesting for this strategy begins on 1 April 2022 to 18 July 2022 in order to demonstrate its results in a bear market. Back testing it further from the beginning of 2022 onwards further also produces good returns.
Pairs that produce very strong results include SOLUSDT on the 45m timeframe, MATICUSDT on the 2h timeframe, and AVAUSDT on the 1h timeframe. Generally, the back testing suggests that it works best on the 45m/1h timeframe across most pairs.
A trading fee of 0.1% is also taken into account and is aligned to the base fee applied on Binance.
TASC 2022.08 Trading The Fear Index█ OVERVIEW
TASC's August 2022 edition of Traders' Tips includes an article by Markos Katsanos titled "Trading The Fear Index". This script implements a trading strategy called the “daily long/short trading system for volatility ETFs” presented in this article.
█ CONCEPTS
This long-term strategy aims to capitalize on stock market volatility by using exchange-traded funds (ETFs or ETNs) linked to the VIX index.
The strategy rules (see below) are based on a combination of the movement of the Cboe VIX index, the readings of the stochastic oscillator applied to the SPY ETF relative to the VIX, and a custom indicator presented in the article and called the correlation trend . Thus, they are not based on the price movement of the traded ETF itself, but rather on the movement of the VIX and of the S&P 500 index. This allows the strategy to capture most of the spikes in volatility while profiting from the long-term time decay of the traded ETFs.
█ STRATEGY RULES
Long rules
Rising volatility: The VIX should rise by more than 50% in the last 6 days.
Trend: The correlation trend of the VIX should be 0.8 or higher and also higher than yesterday's value.
VIX-SPY relative position: The 25-day and 10-day VIX stochastics should be above the 25-day and 10-day SPY stochastics respectively. In addition, the 10-day stochastic of the VIX should be above its yesterday's value.
Long positions are closed if the 10-day stochastic of the SPY rises above the 10-day stochastic of the VIX or falls below the yesterday's value.
Short rules
Declining volatility: The VIX should drop over 20% in the last 6 days and should be down during the last 3 days.
VIX threshold: The VIX should spend less than 35% of time below 15.
VIX-SPY relative position: The 10-day VIX stochastic should be below the 10-day SPY stochastic. In addition, the 10-day SPY stochastic should be higher than the yesterday's value.
Long positions are closed if the first two Long rules are triggered (Rising volatility and Trend).
The script allows you to display the readings of the indicators used in the strategy rules in the form of oscillator time series (as in the preview chart) and/or in the form of a table.
Arnaud Legoux Moving Average Cross (ALMA)This strategy uses two different Arnaud Legoux Moving Average Lengths, one fast and one slow, to determine crosses for entries. The Arnaud Legoux Moving Average is an improvement to traditional MA's because it reduces lag and smooths the signal line. I have added a volume filter to improve the accuracy of the signals. This script is optimized to be used with crypto, but could be adjusted to use on different instruments. Alert functionality is included. The backtesting results displayed use 10% of the initial account equity, adjust as necessary.

Gotobi TeriyakiUSDJPY Anomaly.
This anomaly originated in Japan.
Buy from 2:00 pm Japan time.
Sell at 9:55 Japan time.
Japanese importers often settle payments to suppliers in dollars, and exchange yen for dollars on settlement days (days falling on a 5 or 10, so-called goto days).
Therefore, on goto days, there is sometimes a shortage of dollars held by financial institutions. This is called the "middle price shortage," and financial institutions purchase dollars through the foreign exchange market to resolve the middle price shortage.
As a result, the dollar currency is bought and USD/JPY depreciates against the yen. Since the yen has historically appreciated against the dollar, exporting companies make forward exchange contracts with financial institutions as a risk hedge.
Financial institutions are therefore forced to procure dollars in the market because they do not have enough dollars in their balance sheets to deliver to exporters.
Five days is called "GO" in Japanese.
Ten days is called "TO" in Japanese.
In Japanese, a day is called "BI".
Now I can eat teriyaki all day long :)

J2S Backtest: 123-Stormer StrategyThis backtest presents the 123-Stormer strategy created by trader Alexandre Wolwacz "Stormer". The strategy is advocates and shared by the trader through his YouTube channel without restrictions.
Note :
This is not an investment recommendation. The purpose of this study is only to share knowledge with the community on tradingview.
What is the purpose of the strategy?
The strategy is to buy the 123-Stormer pattern at the bottom of an uptrend and sell the 123-Stormer pattern at the top of a downtrend, aiming for a short stop for a long profit target.
To which timeframe of a chart is it applicable to?
Recommended for weekly and daily charts, as the signals are more reliable, being that strategy a good option for swing and position trading.
What about risk management and success rate?
The profit target is established by the author as being twice the risk assumed. Also according to the author, the strategy is mathematically positive, reaching around 65% of success rate in tradings.
How are the trends identified in this strategy?
Two averages are plotted to indicate the trend, a fast EMA average with an 8-week close and a slow EMA average with an 80-week close.
Uptrend happens whenever the fast EMA is above the slow EMA and prices are above the fast EMA. In this case, we should start looking for a LONG entry based on the signal of the 123-Stromer pattern to buying.
On the other hand, downtrend happens when the fast EMA is below the slow EMA and prices are below the fast EMA. In this case, we should start looking for a SHORT entry based on the signal of the 123-Stromer pattern to selling.
How to identify the 123-Stormer pattern for a LONG entry?
This pattern consists of three candles. The first candle has a higher low than the second candle's low, and the third candle has a higher low than the second candle's low. In this pattern, we will buy as soon as a trade occurs above the third candle's high, placing a stop as soon as a trade occurs below the second candle's low, with profit target twice the risk assumed. In another words, the amplitude of the prices of the three candles from the third candle’s high upwards. (you can use fibonacci extension to determine your stops and profit targets).
Importantly, the low of the three candles must be above the fast EMA average and in an uptrend.
How to identify the 123-Stormer pattern for a SHORT entry?
This pattern consists of three candles. The first candle has a lower high than the second candle's high, and the third candle has a lower high than the second candle's high. In this pattern, we will sell as soon as a trade occurs below the third candle's low, placing a stop as soon as a trade occurs above the second candle's high, with profit target twice the risk assumed. In other words, the amplitude of prices of the three candles from the third candle’s low down (you can use fibonacci extension to determine your stops and profit targets).
Importantly, the high of the three candles must be below the fast average and in a downtrend.
Tips and tricks
According to the author, the best signal for both LONG or SHORT entry is when the third candle is a inside bar of second candle.
Backtest features
Backtest parameters are fully customizable. The user chooses to validate only LONG or SHORT entries, or both. It is also possible to determine the specific time period for running the backtests, as well as setting a threshold in candels for entry by the 123-Stormer pattern.
Furthermore, for validation purposes, you can choose to activate the best signal of the pattern recommended by the author of the strategy, as well as change the values of the EMA averages or even deactivate them.
Final message
Feel free to provide me with any improvement suggestions for the backtest script. Bear in mind, feel free to use the ideas in my script in your studies.

ComiCo - Joel on Crypto - MACD ScalpingThis is a modified (hopefully improved) version of the "Joel on Crypto - MACD Scalping" indicator. It got turned into a strategy, and added some extra filters, like number of trades after EMA cross, minimal EMA distance (EMA 50's distance from the EMA 200). It is just an experiment to see how good this scalping strategy can get.
Play around with it and let me know if you found good settings, or just have a comment on it.
I could get fairly good results on BTCUSDT 5m with these settings (all others left on default values):
Ticks Avg. Multiplier = 1.4
Max trades after EMA cross = 16
Limit Price Difference = 0
Take Profit = 0.0065
Stop Loss = 0.0085
Min EMA difference = 110
Pyramiding = 3
Swing Trading SPX CorrelationThis is a long timeframe script designed to benefit from the correlation with the Percentage of stocks Above 200 moving average from SPX
At the same time with this percentage we are creating a weighted moving average to smooth its accuracy.
The rules are simple :
If the moving average is increasing its a long signal/short exit
If the moving average is decreased its a short signal/long exit.
Curently the strategy has been adapted for long only entries.
If you have any questions let me know !
Strategy: Combo Z ScoreStrategy version of Combo Z Score
Objective:
Can we use both VIX and MOVE relationships to indicate movement in the SPY? VIX (forward contract on SPY options) correlations are quite common as forward indicators however MOVE (forward contract on bonds) also provides a slightly different level of insight
Using the Z-Score of VIX vs VVIX and MOVE vs inverted VIX (there is no M of Move so we use inverted Vix as a proxy) we get some helpful indications of potential future moves. Added %B to give us some exposure to momentum. Toggle VIX or MOVE.
If anyone has a better idea of inverted Vix to proxy forward interest in MOVE let me know.
Noticeable delta is that Vix only approach over the back test period is slightly better. Questions would be, what is the structure and nature of the market over the test period and in a bear market would MOVE or combined perform better.

3ngine Global BoilerplateABOUT THE BOILERPLATE
This strategy is designed to bring consistency to your strategies. It includes a macro EMA filter for filtering out countertrend trades,
an ADX filter to help filter out chop, a session filter to filter out trades outside of desired timeframe, alert messages setup for automation,
laddering in/out of trades (up to 6 rungs), trailing take profit , and beautiful visuals for each entry. There are comments throughout the
strategy that provide further instructions on how to use the boilerplate strategy. This strategy uses `threengine_global_automation_library`
throughout and must be included at the top of the strategy using `import as bot`. This allows you to use dot notation
to access functions in the library - EX: `bot.orderCurrentlyExists(orderID)`.
HOW TO USE THIS STRATEGY
1. Add your inputs
There is a section dedicated for adding your own inputs near the top of the strategy, just above the boilerplate inputs
2. Add your calculations
If your strategy requires calculations, place them in the `Strategy Specific Calculations` section
3. Add your entry criteria
Add your criteria to strategySpecificLongConditions (this gets combined with boilerplate conditions in longConditionsMet)
Add your criteria to strategySpecificShortConditions (this gets combined with boilerplate conditions in shortConditionsMet)
Set your desired entry price (calculated on every bar unless stored as a static variable) to longEntryPrice and shortEntryPrice. ( This will be the FIRST ladder if using laddering capabilities. If you pick 1 for "Ladder In Rungs" this will be the only entry. )
4. Plot anything you want to overlay on the chart in addition to the boilerplate plots and labels. Included in boilerplate:
Average entry price
Stop loss
Trailing stop
Profit target
Ladder rungs
