New Pine Updates - Line.get_price(), label styles and much moreHello,
This video idea covers some of the big updates added to Pine and TradingView over the last several days. Most importantly, I show you how to use the following new features:
- line.get_price() - a function used to get the price of a line object on the chart at a specific bar value
- label styles - how to use the new styles added into Pine for your labels
I also discuss some other new features such as:
- label tooltips
- the addition of Candlestick patterns as built-in indicators on the platform
- syminfo.basecurrency
- timezone parameter when getting a bar's time
Thank you!
Aussies heading into troubled zoneThere are no promises, guarantees or predictions in this.
The Aussies have been flattening out at a top - it appears - at this time. There are only two directions for price - nothing new in that.
What happens in situations like these is:
1 - either price collapses.
2 - it rockets north.
You can imagine what bulls and bears would say to each of the above. Their inherent biases controls their minds. Biases predetermine - quite unconsciously - what logic will arrive at. Hence people get into 'predictions', then punch the air when price confirms their bias.
Both the nature of confirmation bias and prevalence-induced concept change should be studied by all traders. Some say ' What's psychology got to do with this? ' I'm sorry for some.
How does one control how wrong a bias may be? It's called a stoploss!

How to approach a pair during its consolidation period!-When there is a consolidation happening on a pair, this would be an excellent opportunity to look for a breakout and a reversal of the support/resistance of the consolidation box.
-For these types of setups we need be patient and see how price will move to either the upside or downside.
-Once we see a breakout of the consolidation box then it is essential to wait for a retest and enter when we see a strong candle stick confirmation depending on which way price breakout the box.
-Make sure to do loads of backtesting and forward testing this strategy to become more confident in the strategy.
-Make sure to journal all the trades to see how well you perform and look back to see what you can improve on.
If you need any more advice, support or mentoring then give me a message to see how best I can help you.
Please make sure to follow, leave a like and a comment on your opinion/ideas on how to approach these types of strategy.
In the near future, I will be hoping to post more educational posts to help my followers or anyone who wants to learn and get a better understanding on how to approach markets.
Microsoft ($MSFT) and Apple ($APPL) 💻 | New Highs for the Market🐮🖥️🐮 Apple and Microsoft are giants of tech and some of the largest holdings of the major indexes. If these companies run, not to mention the other tech giants like Facebook and Alphabet, then the markets will almost certainly run with them.
Just look at the top 5 holdings of the S&P :
Microsoft Corporation 5.68%
Apple Inc. 5.60%
Amazon.com, Inc. 4.26%
Facebook, Inc. Class A2.16%
Alphabet Inc. Class A1.68%
Alphabet Inc. Class C1.68%
Here are the top 5 holdings of the Nasdaq :
Apple Inc. 11.83%
Microsoft Corporation 11.41%
Amazon.com, Inc. 10.25%
Facebook, Inc. Class A 4.35%
Alphabet Inc. Class A 3.88%
Alphabet Inc. Class C 3.85%
Here is the top DOW holdings With non-tech excluded (Microsoft is the 6th on the list, Apple is still #1):
Apple Inc.9.14%
Microsoft Corporation 5.07%
It should be obvious to you now what we mean when we say " if these stocks run, then the market runs ." We mean, they are the biggest parts of the major indexes!
This is good news for the bulls, because run is exactly what is about to happen based on historical trends.
Some people seem to think that these tech stocks rushing past new all-time-highs perhaps signals the top of not only these companies but the market. In fact, we commonly hear this sort of sentiment every time it happens. Reality is just the opposite.
The fact that these companies are breaking all-time-highs is actually bullish for them and the market as a whole.
On top of that, the news is bullish for these companies as well (COVID aside). We have new iPhones, a slick new MacBook Pro, a new Surface Duo, and a declaration against Face ID for Microsoft.
In short, there is nothing really substantial to bring these giants down aside from the broader market, but again, it is more likely they bring the market up. Don't take our word for it though, the historic patterns are clearly illustrated on our charts.
On the charts, you can see yellow horizontal lines marking off each new high. You can clearly see that the longstanding pattern is that breaking a new high is bullish for both Apple and Microsoft (with this being true in spite of any bearish disbelief).
In summary, breaking all-time-highs with conviction is bullish for the tech giants, which is bullish for the markets. So after that last break, our only questions are "when" and "how high?"

STMX the old Storm.
This STMX, the old Storm might rise significantly within a few days from today,
there are companies around the world which have not finished the swap from STORM

It is worth to keep an eye on this coin, and the other eye on your money.
Bearish Engulfing Pattern | AUDUSDThe Bearish Engulfing pattern consists of two candles. First one is a small upward candle followed by large bearish candle. The bearish candle must absorbs completely the previous one formed during the uptrend. The bearish candle is not required to cover the shadows of bullish candle.
Requirements for validity:
1. Market in uptrend;
2. Small bullish candle;
3. Second one is large and bearish that compleately cover the bullishcandle.
Tips:
These are standard trading rules. There are many more specifics about order placement that I will reveal in the next posts!
1. Do not trade by candlestick analysis only!
2. Always do combine at least two or more analysis!
3. For example:
- trend analysis (always works);
- support & resistance analysis;
- Fibonacci.
4. Follow us for more tips and analysis!
Recommendations:
Confirmation in the form of a downward candle with a closing price lower than the previous one or a downward gap is recommended, to be sure that the trend is reversing!
💲Holy Grail Trading System 💲Hello, my lovely friends!!!💓💓💓 Link for great view 👉🏻https://www.tradingview.com/x/VYQKhV8J/
🔥Today I have something spesial for you today! 🔥 That's 💲Holy Grail Trading System 💲!!!
By “Grail” in trading we mean a unique trading system that can continuously generate profi ts.
☝🏻 According to the legend of the Holy Grail, those who drink from this cup receive immortality.
The idea of this scheme is simple. Only by applying of those three conditions You'll become possible to significantly increase capital.💰
🧐Let's go briefly through all the elements.💪🏻
The first element,🎯 trend trading , I think, doesn't need unnecessary comments. Trending strategies for a trader are the best way to make money. 👊🏻
But why is this element alone not enough? Even if a trader has an ideal trend trading system, in the absence of a trend, he will lose money.
The trader should be where there is volatil ity 🎯, because volatility = profit.
The ship in full calm stands still, no matter what sails he had. Here, to some extent, there is an element of luck.
Yes, there is room on the market for purely external circumstances - there is nothing to be done about it. Not everything is controlled by the trader. It is especially important for risk-averse traders to learn not to get into the market during periods of low volatility.
At this, the last stage🎯, trader needs to find a balance between the desire to squeeze as much out of the market as possible and the ability to calmly, without nerves, sit out corrections.
When the market turns against the position, the trader still doesn't know whether this is a correction or a trend reversal. While sits in position and makes a decision, this movement eats up part of the floating profit or creates a loss. If the trend doesn't resume, a late trader has to close a losing position.
The risk should be approximately, that trader can make such a mistake a sufficient number of times and still be afloat 💪🏻

🔺 TRIANGLES 🔺Hello, my dear friends!💋 Let's get a little developed👩🏻🎓 Today we a talking about 🔺 TRIANGLES 🔺.
These figures 🔺 of technical analysis are distinguished by some “deceit”, therefore they are assigned to a separate category.❗
This is due to the fact, that during their formation it's rather difficult to unambiguously determine in which direction the price impulse will follow - up or down.🤷🏻♀️ Among such figures, symmetrical, ascending and descending triangles are popular among many traders.
Of great importance ❗is the trend preceding the formation of the figure.
So,🔥 if the uscending triangle was preceded by a bullish🐃 trend, then the trend will most likely not change its direction.🔥
On the picture above, the blue 💙 lines - indicate the most probable scenario of the price movement after completion of the formation of the Ascending Triangle.
In green 💚 - a slightly less likely scenario that shouldn't be ruled out.
Thus, in most cases, the “Rising Triangle” is seen by traders as a bullish pattern.🐃 The appearance of this figure usually indicates consolidation before the resumption of the upward movement of prices.❗
💥 Other features of this figure :💥
🔺the upper resistance level passes through two or more local peaks approximately equal in height;
🔺the reliability of the figure increases in proportion to the duration of the previous uptrend;
🔺the lower resistance line consists of at least two consecutive minima, with each subsequent one must be higher than the previous one;
🔺often during the formation of this figure there is a decrease in trading volumes;
🔺the moment of breaking the resistance line should preferably be accompanied by an increase in trading volumes;
🔺after breaking through, the line of resistance of the figure becomes a line of support;
🔺the approximate purpose of further price movement usually corresponds to the width of the triangle formed by the upward movement.
👉🏻The “descending triangle” is often regarded by traders as a bearish🐻 pattern:
This pattern is formed on a downtrend 👇🏻, in most cases indicating its continuation. At the same time, as we can see in the figure near, sometimes when you exit this figure, the price moves in the opposite direction.
In its features, this figure is similar to the “Ascending Triangle” formed on the bull trend and, in fact, is its mirror image.🤲🏻
The "symmetrical 🤲🏻 triangle" is a relatively neutral figure:
However, for example, if the formation of the "Symmetric 🤲🏻Triangle" was preceded by an uptrend, then this pattern will signal a high probability of continued bull dominance in the market. The same for downtrend.
💥 Other features of the figure: 💥
🔺a triangle is considered reliable and indicates a high probability of the continuation of the trend, if the trend lasted for at least several weeks before its formation;
🔺to build this figure, at least four points are needed - two for the resistance line, two more for support (a more reliable triangle is formed by six points - three for the top line, and three for the bottom);
🔺as the triangle forms and the range narrows, the trading volume should decrease;
🔺the approximate purpose of price movement is usually determined by the width of the triangle.
❗❗❗ Traders should be very careful when working with a triangle, especially with a symmetrical one. Each time when forming such a figure, two likely scenarios of price movement should be taken into account at once.

TRADING VS HOLDING The profitability of cryptocurrencies over a long period is very attractive. So why just not invest in cryptocurrencies according to the <> strategy and keep them a couple of years? 🤔
💥It's hardly possible to give an unequivocal answer to that question, since everyone has their own strategy, psychology, and risk appetite.💥
👍🏻 Some arguments in favor of trading: 👍🏻
👉🏻 not all cryptocurrencies live for a long time, and those assets that are now leaders can become outsiders after only a year or two;
👉🏻 investing in a Buy & Hold strategy is justifiable if there is significant free capital, that can be diverted from circulation for a long period of time.
❗❗ You can increase your profitability if you combine the holding strategy with active trading (or at least re-balance the portfolio from time to time).
👉🏻Giving preference only to long-term investment, it's impossible to acquire trading skills, which, by the way, can become an additional source of income.
👉🏻As for the arguments in favor of the Buy & Hold strategy, the image illustrates them most clearly🤣
Thus, trading allows you to profit in the short term, and long-term investment doesn't require frequent activities, as well as the study of various indicators and trading strategies.
However, in both cases, a rational choice of assets, discipline and balanced decision-making are required.
In any case, if you choose one of the strategies or their combination, you can't do it without knowledge and skills.
Therefore, I always urge you to develop, learn something new, and people who have long been on the market - don't stop self-development. 💪🏻💪🏻

📈 Some words about the TRAND 📉Hello, my cleaver friends!👊🏻 It's time to self-educate! 💪🏻Let's talk about 📈 Trend / Flat 📉
💥 Trend is the direction of market movement. 💥
By tracking dynamics of ☝🏻ups and 👇🏻downs, we can understand what is the trend of price movement and how long it's going to change.🧐
Price moves in one direction - is the basis for trend analysis.
There are three 3️⃣ types of trend :
🤜🏻 Bullish trend - prices are moving up. 🐃
The main condition for a bull trend is ascending movement more than descending movement (the definition of "bullish" arose by analogy with a bull raising the price on its horns)
🤜🏻 Bearish trend - prices are moving down. 🐻
The basic condition of a bearish trend is a descending movement than an ascending movement (a bear, as it were, crushes the price under itself, leaning on it from top to bottom with its entire body - hence the “bearish trend”)
🤜🏻 Sideway - there is no definite direction of price movement either up or down.
Such movement is called flat; a long flat is a harbinger of a price storm in the market - a strong price movement in one direction or another.
As a rule, prices do not move linearly up or down. However, in a bullish trend, prices are rising more and faster than falling.
The same thing, exactly the opposite, happens with a bearish trend. But bearish movements are always more rapid and powerful. This is usually associated with panic sales in the markets.
💥 Basic rules of price movement in trends: 💥
🤜🏻 The golden rule !!! The current trend is more likely will continue, than change direction ;
🤜🏻The trend will move in the same direction until it weakens.

🧐Is your trading system (TS) profitable? Check it!👊🏻 Hello, friends!👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Most of you have heard the combination of the words "trading system" many times.🙉
Today I wanna invite you to check your trading system, think about it's profitable. Or maybe even think about creating it 💪🏻💪🏻
Let's Go🚀🚀🚀
🤜🏻 There are 2 ways to check if the system is profitable.
The ☝🏻 way is trading in this system in real time, and the ✌🏻 is testing it.
System testing takes place in 3️⃣ stages:
1. Preliminary testing. At this stage, the idea underlying your trading system is tested.
2. Optimization . At this stage, the best parameters are selected.
3. Final testing. Testing takes into account the money management system.
Testing can be carried out in 2️⃣ ways:
🔺manual testing
🔺computer testing
💥 The main parameters, that will let you know is your trading system is profitable. 💥
🚩The total profit P (%)
🚩 The sum of all profitable trades S (P)
🚩 The sum of all losing trades S (L)
🚩 MIDD (maximum drawdown), drawdown
🚩 Recovery factor RF = P / MIDD
🚩 Profit factor PF = S (P) / S (L)
🚩 The total number of transactions
🚩 The share of profitable transactions (%)
🚩 The share of losing trades (%)
💥Often when creating trading strategies, traders pursue the maximum profitability of the system. However, it is more important not to increase the value of expected profitability, but to reduce the possible risk, which is expressed in maximum drawdown (MIDD).
The empirically established boundary value of the profit factor is taken equal to 1.6.❗
If Profit Factor (PF) of your system exceeds 1.6,it shows GOOD 👍🏻 efficiency, if less - BAD 👎🏻efficiency!
⚡ I recommend you to test your trading system first on virtual money, and then on real money. After that you can see a suitability of your trading system, and then you can start using it.
😊😊I hope you enjoyed my post, don't forget to support me with like 🌞, subscribe, for don't get lost!💋

🔁Synthesis of elements in the trading system🔁 Hello💋💋 Today we are talking about synthesis of elements in the trading system .
When we see that a certain component of the system performs a certain function very well, we design it as a separate unit, that it can be used when it is necessary to perform a specific function peculiar to it.
Each component of the system must be carefully checked BY YOU, and effectively solve the task assigned spesialy FOR YOU.
Before proceeding directly to the development of a new trading system, it is necessary to arrange all the components of our set into a certain structure in accordance with the general scheme by which the new trading system will be built.
Do not be afraid to mix these components. Try to find what suits you and what pleases you. And of course it brings profit !!!
We'll go a looooong interesting, sometimes painful way to become successful traders!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

PAPERTRADING - What To Do When On The Road - 05/15/20 RECAPHi traders,
Let's change gear for a bit and talk about what a professional trader should do when away from his/her computer.
My answer is simple: PAPERTRADE!
I was away on Friday, but did my regular preparation and stuck around for the open to practice. I found 2 opportunities, one long and one short. Both worked!
What do YOU do when on the road? Let me know!
I will not be including these trades in my PnL statistics.
