Beyond Technical Analysis
Why Has the USD Been Falling?Dollar has lost value against many currencies since January. Why is that?
The Dollar’s decline didn’t start with the recent ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs. In fact, it has been gradually weakening since the 1970s.

Why I Hesitate on Long Wick Candles (and How I Trade Through It)In today’s live trading review, I highlight one of the key challenges I face when trading the ES:
I don’t always feel confident executing during long wick days.
So how do I deal with that? Simple: reduce risk and stick to the framework.
Watch as I walk you through this session, break down the setup, and share how you can identify and study your own trading weaknesses — so you can grow stronger, one trade at a time.

Gold Possible SellsOANDA:XAUUSD My sentiments on gold for today.
1. Last buyer haven, prior to recent one
This is the last place prior to the level gold is sitting on top currently (4.(black)) where buyers would have been really and truly comfortable buying which means we know there could likely be stop losses even below here.
2. Bearish momentum/bearish channel
At this time gold has been bearish for about 7 days and if its one thing you know I believe in is momentum, adhere to whatever the momentum is doing - in this case its selling (bearish) so it is likely IMO to continue to do so - this is further supporting by the elements of my analysis.
3. Buyers stoplosses
The area highlighted in red shows suggested buyers stop losses below the currently obvious buyer havem (4. black) which means this is likely where the market will try to attack to capture that trapped liquidity. Something to think about, if gold had the liquidity to buy, it would. Let this guide you in terms of what you allow yourself to see next.
4. Current Obvious buyer haven
Pay attention to the level I've drawn to show where buyers would be heavily induced to buy at this time, this looks like a gold mine for buys (pun intended lol). Something you'd learn in this space, if it feels to good to be true, it probably is.
5. Possible move
This is what I think is likely to occur, gold will crash below the current obvious buyer haven taking out all previous buyer stops, capturing all that liquidity along the way even attacking the last buyer haven. Then and only then can gold resume it's bullish activities because now it would have enough liquidity to do what it wants.

Bullish Price Delivery on MESIn this week's analysis of the ES futures contract, it still looks reasonable to expect bullish price action.
Given the price delivery over the past few weeks, it appears that large institutions are continuing to push the market higher — a strong signal to maintain a bullish bias!
Key levels I'm watching:
Bullish target: 5,590 (with potential for even higher moves)
Support zones:
First support around 5,497
Stronger support around 5,447 in a worst-case scenario
While it's important to recognize that we may be approaching a "high" within the larger downtrend, from a short-term perspective (this week), I expect these support levels to hold and for bullish momentum to continue.
Of course, as with all speculation, we’ll monitor closely and react accordingly — always studying price action one candlestick at a time!

VIX is a VIXjust having a little fun in a chat about how i chart the VIX. i say a VIX is a VIX. when we are spiking, we are spiking and we should become cautious if we don't know how to manage in that environment (intense bearish environment). this recent spike has proven that there are bullish moments that can be gleamed, but you have to be clear about your targets .
if someone has more to add about VIX royalty, please do share. otherwise, pick one to monitor if that is even your thing. no need to clutter your toolbox with VIX concepts... says me.
shout out to @BradMatheny. your work is amazing. thank you for sharing a bit here and there. i'm going to make time to learn more from you.
